One of my issues with BG personally is how the bass feels like it doesn't matter at all. It always seems to be drowned out in the mix in a majority of the songs (at least in the newer albums of theirs. I've heard them before, and when I got my hands on, A Twist in the Myth, is when I became a fan of theirs.) Then again, it could be mixed well enough that if I heard the songs without it, it could sound significantly worse. I need to hear this song on my Hi-Fi before I can judge it for that, but it still sounds about the same as previous ones. Still love them though. Especially their last two albums, At the Edge of Time, and Beyond the Red Mirror.

My discovery of Blind Guardian is what led me to metal. My tastes may have grown, I may have found other bands I love with all my heart and soul, but in the end, I’ll always return here, always put these guys first. This is a kick-ass song, a perfect mix of old and new sound with a cool theme. 111 days until I see you guys in Switzerland, and I can’t fucking wait. (Yes, I’m literally planning on international travel in the midst of a pandemic to see my favorite band.)

This kicks so much ass. It's undeniably a Blind Guardian song, and feels familiar, but it's so fresh. That's really the story of Blind Guardian, always writing new and unique songs with their signature style.
He's done SO well to preseve his voice too, often avoiding doing screams live since the 2000's, but still doing them for harmonies in the studio. ..and at the same time, there was a 2015(?) live rendition of Script For My Requiem, where he pretty much screamed the entire first verse - sounded absolutely crazy!!!
He’s great in the studio, but it’s a shame he never attempts to sing like the original when they play live. I totally get that there are things one can do when they’re young that’s not possible when they’re older, but he takes ‘taking the easy route’ to a different level. Even this new song here, I guarantee without a doubt he’ll be dropping lower on almost all those high notes. I still love him and I don’t mean to be knocking him, at least he’s not just using track! I guess consider it a positive criticism
I was always disappointed they didn't have another midway point album like Imaginations, I love Knightfall, but it just seemed like the progression from old to new happened a tad too fast.
As if the last more than 25 years were just deleted Guardian strikes back with such a power metal song from back in the days. That's exactly what made my heart go metal back in the days. Love you and always did.

I share a birthday with Hansi and I was born the year Blind Guardian came together. I found this band in middle school or early high school with A Night At The Opera as their latest release... I bought that album and psychical release for And Then There Was Silence single (with a QuickTime video on the disc CD-ROM). I was the only kid at school rocking Blind Guardian. I saw them live for A Twist in the Myth and my passion for this band has not wavered in the years since. Love this band and so excited for new material already. In the interview with RockHardMegazine from Keep It True Rising 2021 Hansi said that they can already start recording for another album after the one coming in September 2022, because they composed so much during Covid.😮 And that some stuff of Somewhere Far Beyond will be rerecorded for 30 year Anniversary this year😮😮

It's clearly the band is still delivering their top game, holy shit. Hansi's voice never loses its power. But why is the production so compressed and muddy. I feel like I've been deafened by a flashbang and I'm listening to this song shortly after. Everything is so drowned.
There have been some production issues on the last couple albums that might just be attributable to hearing loss from being in a metal band for 30+ years. That high pitched beeping on the album version of Curse My Name is still there.

In the interview with RockHardMegazine from Keep It True Rising 2021 Hansi said that they can already start recording for another album after the one coming in September 2022, because they composed so much during Covid.😮 And that some stuff of Somewhere Far Beyond will be rerecorded for 30 year Anniversary this year😮😮

But why is the production so compressed and muddy. I feel like I've been deafened by a flashbang and I'm listening to this song shortly after. Everything is so drowned.
Could be RUclips's compression that's on every video out there
There have been some production issues on the last couple albums that might just be attributable to hearing loss from being in a metal band for 30+ years. That high pitched beeping on the album version of Curse My Name is still there.
It’s so frustrating with Grand Parade because if you could actually hear everything that would be the most brain-explodingly epic song of all time.
@@justinneiswander5118 yeah, grand parade sounds really bad, the song is so epic but its just so muddy, its not just youtube, their orchestral album and just in general their albums lately have sounded so insanely muddy, the intro from this song always sounds so terrible sadly
