- Hi everyone! In this DIY, learn how to make scratch off cards in art form. This scratch-off is oh so colorful and easy to create. Use acrylic paint, liquid hand soap, and oil pastels along with a thick paper like watercolor or cardstock. Scratching away at the dry paint is very satisfying and you can produce any design you want. It's the perfect project to do when you're bored at home. I show you a cupcake Birthday greeting card design, a swirly phone case, and a rainbow mandala. Which one is your favorite?

I did this in art therapy when I was hospitalized last year but I was pulled out for 1 on 1 session and never got to finish my piece. This video inspired me to go back to it and finish it. I will be doing that once I am recovered from a surgery I had on Friday. I'm on spring break and plan to finish my diy scratch art at the end of break. Your videos inspire me so much. I'm an art student and I will be taking AP studio art next school year as a junior in high school. I do art outside of school and use lots of ideas from your videos! You bring happiness to my life and make me realize my purpose of living is to create. Thank you so much! :)
Erin Alexa I also did this when I was 16 at the hospital with nurse that wanted to give me something to do, Anorexia and wasn t allowed to go out of bed and was gettibg frustrated.It made me feeling more relaxed and learned to give my feelings more room

The Mandela was GORGEOUS
Want to know a super easy way to do this?!
First you take coloured highlighters and colour the whole page with them
Second you cover the whole page with packaging tape
Thirdly you take some liquid soap and black(or white) paint and mix the paint with the liquid soap then paint over the picture do a few layers.wait till it dries.....then scratch off easily!

Leah Dickson yeah, but it's more successful with oil pastel because they're more smooth
I'd suggest oil pastel. We used crayon in art class and it didnt turn out to great:) It was still fun though!
It really depends on how hard you color!

I liked both of it because the mandala was very pretty and so was the cupcake and you can use the cupcake for birthday card ideas and we can use the mandala art for anywhere

There actually is scratch off paper and kits you can buy and do the same without making it. I use to get them all the time when I was younger. But either way it is pretty cool.

I am addicted to scratch art, but I buy premade blank boards and ones where you scratch the design. The ones you buy are much less messy, and I even have sun catcher sheets.

It's fun, but I usually only bake around holidays like Christmas, Halloween, & Birthdays. I've been making banana pancakes from scratch lately, but I don't think that counts since I cook them in a pan. I like to cook a lot more

I love making scratch board this video was amazing. When I make scratch board I paint a paper board piece white, coloring it with crayon and paint it black with just plain paint. I LOVE YOU

Use black acrylic paint mixed with some soap and that works the best I've found. I know she did that but I've found that's the best. And the soap gives it a nice scent

you could just add clear packaging tape befor the paint if you dont want to use hanpsoap, i have tried it before and i think that it works better than the soap version. 🙂
Another option is ink (speedball ink works well). Oh! Tempera works well too! :)
