Quetzal....... I immediately thought of the ancient Quetzalcoatlus ! That giant, flying pterodactyl that I first encountered on the "Dinosaur Train" cartoon series ! Fascinating video ... I will want to watch it several times to really absorb all the information about the creatures and the artwork in that museum. And I TOTALY agree that there needs to be collaboration between academics, zoos and private collectors ! My grandson, Jasper, is on the path of being in all three of those worlds.
This is someone putting his best foot forward for those animals. And he still asks if he’s keeping some of his animals correctly ❤ very very cool to see!
I need a thesaurus to find the words to describe how exceptional Quetzal's facility is. Awesome. Thanks Kenan for the long video showing his beautifully created and designed habitats.
I live close to reptilandia and have been a couple times. I was there last weekend and met and spoke to Ari. I certainly don't want to step on their toes but he did tell me they got some Croc Tegu eggs. Pretty cool! It's so nice to meet these people who know so much and are doing things the right way! Love this place so much!
Hi Kenan Quetzel has such a awesome place in Texas. His enclosures are so natural, and well designed. Reptilica has such a variety of Reptiles. That Komoto was friendly with the woman keeper. Looking forward to more of your trip.❤Love Reptiles. Cindy
Such an amazing place! I wonder if he was to put one way transparent film on the emerald boas enclosure if that would help. It would reflect the green as well as hide the humans shape. That might work for viewing as well as for the animal.
Kenan, thank you so much for educating with these "underrated" (😂) information. Also, massive respect to Paul and his team for understanding, working hard for these animals, understanding their psychology etc etc. I have added Paul's spot in my bucket list. Keeping educating Kenan 👏
Happy Easter Kenan 6 minutes in and this is already my new favorite video! Love the fact it's a long one too UPDATE: I could have watched HOURS of this. Quetzel, now that's an awesome guy!! Really knows his stuff
Hands down the most extraordinary exhibits of any Reptile Zoo. Quetzal, Ari, and Ryu are amazing as well. Happy you got to visit this awesome place. It’s one of a kind for sure.
AMAZING facility! My enclosure’s are trash after watching this lol 😂 he’s amazing great collection and that anole cave wth? Brilliant! Great video and I’m jealous that chick takes a Komodo dragon on a walk everyday lol lucky! 🎸🦎🐍🐢
This guys is amazing Kenan. His visualization of reptiles and monitors is amazing. Really anything he talks about he has such a vast knowledge of everything. This is one of my most favorite videos youve ever done. I would love to chat with this guy, i could talk all day long. I know he knows more then just reptiles and animals. This man is a wealth of information and he has studied so much info. This really was a great one Kenan. I hope you do more with him in the future brotha.!!!
The Komodo Dragon just made my day 1000000X Better just seeing him. They are my spirit animal the one Animal that always brings a smile to my face. I need it thank you Kenan
This facility is the greatest I have ever scene 😊 and the knowledge is incredible I love the fact he asked your opinions on certain turtles etc...to share knowledge is the greatest valuable trait to have great friend you have there ❤
Absolutely awesome! Love the story of the Trachyboa. Fascinating little genus, pretty and interesting. Those and Bromeliad Boas are some of my favorite lesser known "boas." I also very much agree we need to bridge the gap between private/zoo/public/research as much as possible. Rising tide raises all ships type of thing. I would love to do something like Quetzl once my son is an older, tho more rescue and sanctuary. Such an awesome and unique collection! (Also those exhibits are absolutely amazing, the Anaconda enclosure, the arboreal enclosures... Some of the best ive ever seen period)
Really enjoy these tours and long episode ,I know it's easier said than done because you have a lot of responsibilities at the camp but these are great and a little change of pace great video buddy.
The first 10 min were absolutely riveting; especially regarding what these two gentlemen reveal about amphibious snakes here... I'm stoked about watching the rest of this tomorrow or when I'll have time. Many thanks for uploading this!
Wow! Incredible place and incredible video! I can’t even imagine how cool it was to be so close to a Komodo Dragon! I’m so jealous of his keeper, she’s very lucky to have that job. 🦎
This is the most beautiful and amazing set up I’ve ever seen!! Man seeing the process of the build on this place would have been amazing!!! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME VIDEO KENNAN!!
I have to say that this has been my favorite video so far. So much information and the setups for these animals is really mind-blowing. Kenan, this really is a good video.
@@KampKenan I’m so intrigued!!! Those enclosures are some of the best I have ever seen!!! I’m bout to book a flight from Ohio to go see that place!!!!! We gotta know how those are made. He said it surprisingly wasn’t that hard!!!!
@@Matt_The_Reptifish_Guy it will be worth the trip trust me! I live close and have been a few times. The first time Ari was explaining to us how he built the logs, but I was so amazed at the enclosures and animals I wasn’t paying attention😂 They are all very cool people and I’m sure he would be happy to tell you how he does it.
wow what a place..really classy and amazing styling..i love the animals bud..what a great job your doing..kenan as usual bringing the best..great stuff
Apt name, Quetzal comes from Mexican/American from the Ancient Maya meaning "feathered". There is a bird called the Quetzal. The mayan god "Quetzalcoatl" meaning The feathered serpent. So cool name for him !
I couldn’t stop thinking about Ray Ramano’s brother on his tv show. Your friends voice sounds exactly like Robert Barone. LoL Amazing facility, great owner, we’re going to Legasea in July, I just found August destination.
You should invite Blake from Blakes Exotics Ranch, Florida to come along and Noah Barchezc along with Mike and Lori at the Reptarium to your facility too.
You should come to New Zealand and meet up with Parks and Rec woit D.O.C and go out in the wilderness and bush to see skinks, lizards. Also meet our Tuataras a prehistoric lizard. Henry the oldest living, lives in Invercargill N.Z.
4:24 no way lol no way 😅is it really not? Its not Madagascar, its actually *scatting* 😢 *Malagascar* wow weve been butchering that name for far too long 😂
A lot of zoos are hands off with their Komodo dragons which is probably not the best for captive animals. Obviously they are monitors and can be socialized which gives you more ways to work and interact with them
An hour long Kamp video, it's an Easter Miracle 🐣

A literal giraffe sized flyin monster
It comes from the Mayan God quetzalcoatl meaning "feathered Serpent " so apt name for him.
Reptilandia is bad @ss! Thanks for sharing that, another on my bucket list to go!

Such an amazing place! I wonder if he was to put one way transparent film on the emerald boas enclosure if that would help. It would reflect the green as well as hide the humans shape. That might work for viewing as well as for the animal.
Its almost like hes hinting at getting a komodo for the camp

Wow I’m already scheduling a flight to go see this place in the fall. Amazing truly.

2:45 xenagama is a very very "pre-ancient" very old type of reptile(not as old or ancient as giant heladerma salamanders but you get the ☝🏼 😅point!!")
