- So this mod is disgusting, it makes HOI4, a WW2 strategy game, literally impossible.
And in this mod where Italy is weak like historically, I decided to form the Roman Empire.
Safe to say that we had to go through LONG HOURS to actually achieve this and who knows, maybe we didn't even win in the end?
Is Germany too strong in WW2? Is Italy too hard in World Ablaze? Can you even make Rome in this epic Hearts of Iron 4 mod?
Is this the biggest HOI4 challenge, bigger than Endsieg?
Well it probably isn't but it definitely isn't a cakewalk.

I will never understand why the game will try and send supply over the sea when your invading a country you literally share a land border with
I assume it is because via railroads you get less supply. For example if you have level 3 railroads you you get 25 supply, but with high enough port you can get 35 (if the railroads from the port are max ofc). So game wants to give you max supply and therefore takes naval route. Still dumb tho.
Me when my troops around Rome want to move navally from Genoa to the Spanish border in France instead of going through the Alps
I was playing Argentina and literally couldn’t build convoys because they all kept getting sunk in the Mediterranean. I wasn’t accepting any lend lease or trading with anyone other than the U.S. I still can’t figure out why my convoys were in the Mediterranean.
@@plaguepug2091 I never understand how ocean trade routes work. When you trade with the allies colonies in Asia for rubber as the US it always tries to go through the med, then when you block the Red Sea, it goes under South Africa, then it tries to go under Argentina. The fact that all trade has to go to your capital port is ridiculous. It would make perfect sense for rubber trades to Malaysia to go across the pacific and land in California instead of crossing the whole world and going to Washington.
You might not have a railway connection through the port, or it might be inadequate

Pretty sure it's fake. I watched the VODs and he was never able to beat Germany. I think it's a totally separate recording in vanilla or something 😕

@Kent Sands I agree. He came pretty close but he was out of manpower and equipment, and had no way to deal with German tanks and overwhelming air power

There no good explanation. A bug, or hidden feature I guess.
It was a bug and got fixed 2 days later after tommy provided a save gameto the devs
I assume it may be a bug. The fact half his division and half the generals disappeared makes me think it may have to due with the Italian Civil war that triggers if you start losing core land. Seeing as Tommy was coring France and Yugo, the game might of triggered the event if he lost any provinces.

I felt that so much when Dommy was complaining about supply and the fix was blocking sea zones.

this is the sort of stuff I hate about HoI4 vanilla & some mods. IRL Italy had 685k in Ethiopia in 1935, never mind those elsewhere. HoI just starts everyone off with nothing and gives them 10 times the industry they had IRL, resulting in a completely borked game balance
In vanilla HoI4, making Rome is a test for men. In this mod, making Rome is a test for GODS.

Here’s an idea.
Tommy plays a game and he has to either play 100% zoomed in all the time, or 100% zoomed out.

with your legions that are 13700 manpower, and you have 12 divisions there, i'd say thats a realistic ammount of trucks
It's a bug. When you try to motorize one army it somehow calculates it for all your armies.
Eg:
Tried to motorize my tank army (8Divs): 8000 Trucks required
Tried to motorize an entire army group (70Divs): 8000 Trucks required

You could do the Yougo war like half a year earlier if you just simply fabricate a clam as soon as you have 50pp. Means a lot.

If you see no problems with World Ablaze, you obviously have never played the mod or hoi itself and watch all the videos Dommy made on this mod asleep.
the only reason its "hard" because it gives ridiculous debuffs and gives the AI unlimited shit, like trucks for the Soviets so they can fully motorize every supply hub and as a player you could never do that in this mod. -99% attack in China as Japan is crazy

@@eoozy2617 tbh the debuff attack in China wouldn't be that bad if you could start the "Offensive operations" even if you had captured all cities in a province but not all tiles rom the province itself, that and insane equipment spawns is really stupid. A bit of equipment spawn is fine since China had lend-lease equipment from half the world lol.

A bug, when Italy declares war on Germany the game thinks its because of Italian Civil War so it deletes half your divisions
