Thank you for this review. I only just heard about this game about 20 minutes ago lol, and you did a great job of introducing it. It seems a bit challenging for me but fun. Also, your voice is so lovely and elegant! Great for reviewing
@@ReneeSky I was doing the Tutorial, survived the first Druaght, A few day later a noticed nothing was happening, Then I realised my beavers starved to death 😭.
Just saw an ad for this game, I once played a game called Stonehearth that really drew me in with its building/city managing features. Once they announced they were no longer supporting the title I was excited to see Timberborn. Definitely will give it a shot, thanks for the video!
Just found your channel looking for Timberborn content ! Immediate sub as I really appreciate your style of review and the games covered. Keep it up ! All the best from Paris !
Objective: survive. With the droughts getting worse each time the intensity kind of keeps up with your city size and you never really 'coast' if that makes sense
nice video, good review, clear, short and to the point. If I want a review of a game and you have one, I'll always check it out ! good luck with your channel !
This game looks cool, but I really think they missed a trick not playing more to the amphibious nature of beavers. It would be cool to be able to build lodges in the water and do away with bridges as beavers are such excellent swimmers. It would also double down on the harrowing nature of the dry season. Perhaps it will be addressed in an update but it seems like something that should have been taken into account in the core design.
There is quite a bit of underwater building available and the beavers do swim - I just didn't get to explore much of it as time was short to record. I'm streaming it all next week so I'll be building towards late game towns and hopefully some water-centric districts as well!
@@ReneeSky Oh awesome! Thanks for clarifying. Seems a little back to front though, the on land stuff should be the higher tech requirement being as wild beavers already build in water. I'm being pedantic for sure, but I just love watching beavers paddle around and swim into their little houses XD
@@SgtBotBot The swimming animation is beyond adorable - I was streaming it to my Discord when a beaver hopped into the water for the first time and myself and the entire chat squealed
hey, nice review. I was searching for a timerborn review and found your channel. Nice to find a city builder channel. I'm a huge fan of survival city builders like banished. The genre was kinda lacking but recently some good titles came up. I see you already made videos about dawn of man and frostpunk, love those games :3 Have you played kingdoms reborn? Hope to see more survival city building games in your channel.
Definitely some amazing titles coming up in this genre! It's been my fave ever since I was a kid. I've never played Kingdoms Reborn but I guess I have something to research now! Thanks for watching
@@ReneeSky Hi! Would you consider doing a video on AOE4? Not sure if that falls within the genre, but I'd love to hear your input. Amazing channel, I subbed!
@@no-rq7fp thank you for subbing! I do have a video planned on Age of Empires IV, and we are planning a tournament within the Discord (linked in the description) if you want some friends to play with 🙂

Now that the beaver "Moz" is in your stream of the game, can't help but succeed (or is that fail ?) ;) But seriously, love your reviews as they are always concise and your streams always entertain ... good work.
I'm just Australian 😊 I guess the fun thing about Early Access is updates and content patches! I'll be streaming it from Saturday onwards so it'll be neat to see how much content there currently is
@@Eikonal_m I've had series requested before, so it's definitely on my mind; just have to work it into the schedule. In the meantime I do series-esque stuff over on Twitch.
Randomly came across your channel and am a huge fan of base builders, great review and looking forward to watching more, keep up the great work!
Thanks heaps! I will try to 😊

Thank you so much! Honestly, my roommate - who doesn't play these games - bought Timberborn last night and is now addicted XD so is definitely fun!

And no worries, I hope you enjoy Timberborn!

Awesome video. Thank you. Very good presentation. I never played this type of game but after seeing your review, I went out and bought it. :)

Cannot wait to see how my games turn out! Played the demo so cannot wait to see the differences
There's a LOT of content now!
I hope you consider doing more types of games :)
Ooh what games would you like to see?
YES thank you! I've been waiting for this
Enjoy!!
Is there any particular goal in the game or just 'build yourself a city until you get bored'?
