    ABOUT THE SPEAKER -
Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari was born in Lebanon in a Muslim family, at the age of 18 he moved to the United States. He joined a underground rap group called "Scums of the Earth" who were all Buddhists so he also became a Buddhists.
After around 5 years of leading a life of problems he decided to make some changes in his life so he started work with a Muslim brother this is when he first came into proper contact with Islam and from this time onwards his love for Islam grow more and more.
His life started to change slowly and he eventually met a brother who studies at Madinah Islamic University thereby guiding him to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention. He would spend time with Abu Mussab teaching him the basics and giving him all kinds of authentic Islamic books. Before he returned to Madinah after the summer vacation, he led Abu Mussab to a Masjid where Sheikh Abu Mujaahid Fareed Abdullaah, who graduated from Imam University in Riyadh, was the Imam. It is there where Abu Mussab learned the sound Aqeedah, Fiqh, Traditional Arabic and other Islamic sciences.
Eventually Abu Mussab decided to migrate to Saudi with his wife and children and Allah facilitated that by His Grace and Mercy. When he came here to Jeddah, he got involved in the Da'wah Center and eventually worked for them full-time thus providing him with the time and means to enhance his Da'wah skills and further his knowledge in the Deen. This is besides the classes and the lectures he attend here conducted by various Shuyookh upon the Sunnah.

What about in Indian/Pakistani culture where women bear all the burden of paying for the wedding and these days the men and their family expect women to contribute equally to expenses if not simply relying on the wife to take care of all expenses while also being forced to live with in-laws. Not to mention even the dowry in this oppressive culture is expected to be given from the wife to the husband which is the complete opposite of the Islamic way. On top of being burdened with all of this they receive little to no help from their husbands with childcare and household chores due to the parents spoiling their sons as if they are kings. The responsibility of wives is constantly asserted towards the sisters while the husbands are not held to any standards of humanity, culture, and most importantly, Islam. The entire culture is dhulm. May Allah swt give the coming generations enough knowledge and wisdom to break this cycle of oppression against women.
