    I'm absolutely blown away by this! Having grown up with the C64 and having the original C64 version of SF2 and the sorry port that it was, seeing what you have accomplished is truly amazing! The music is especially fantastic - The C64 sound chip can knock out some belters when used to its potential.

    The graphics looks great and the gameplay extremely smooth. But the music rendition is out of this world, I really love how it sounds on the first stage.

      @@abeli8753 akuma is already in the demo, it can be encountered just by using no continues until the end, and it can be selected in the selection screen by the Ryu-T.Hawk-Guile-Cammy-Ryu sequence (hover 3 secs for each of them).

    The fact that it has combos is an impressive feat in itself , and the physics is very on par with the source. I am impressed.

    the very fact that this looks, sounds and runs the way it does is a miracle in and of itself, all the bells and whistles of super turbo revival seem to have made it over without issue, for a demo running on stock c64 hardware this is just mind blowing

    Reminds me a lot of the Street Fighter Alpha port on the GBC and that is a compliment as that was surprisingly playable for a fighting game on the system.

    Discovered this earlier today and have been playing it on my C64 mini this afternoon
    This is one of the most impressive feats of coding I have ever seen. The C64 shouldn't be able to do the things you've achieved here, as such I am convinced you are wizards of some description.
    When the final version is ready I will more than happily pay a substantial sum to have a physical version to play (or just donate if it remains digital only).
    You guys are incredible

    The animation is amazing, it's really on par with the 16-bit ports. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the combos going off! The music is sounding great too. This is above Capcom and US Gold's (iirc) ability back in the day, which just blows my mind.

    The hit detection, impact, and friction looks excellent so far. That's what killed all fighting games and so many platformers on the micro computers.
    You could just use stick men and this would still be a joy to play. Great job, mate :)

    This looks incredible! It reminds me of the Game Boy Color version of Street Fighter Alpha 1. The animations are super smooth, and it seems like the damage input has been reduced, but that's actually a positive change. Awesome job! 👍

      @@retrogl2580 should be easier to make than SF2 as well. All 8 playable characters are basically the same, except for their specials. The ninjas are colour swaps mostly. Goro and Shang Tsung don't have that much in the way of animations. It's very doable if you can do SF2 already!

    The C64 conversion of "Street Fighter II" was the very last boxed game I bought for an 8bit computer and probably the most disappointing port ever conceived for the Commodore. After playing the two "Turrican" and "Mayhem in Monsterland" in the early '90, I realized the real potential of that machine was largely underused for most of its lifespan. Finally this astounding remake will do to that title justice as it deserved (even though it's the Turbo edition). Considering that you've rebuilt the whole game from scratch, I think it would be even easier for you to add the two players and two enemies mode in "Golden Axe" released by Probe Software and Virgin in 1990.

      As explained in the description. It's the most appropriate for my opinion, because It fits well in graphic, music and general behavior.

      The best emulator to play with Is VICE: vice-emu.sourceforge.io/
      The game supports both single and two Fire game controller, so you must setup those in the VICE emulator first before to play the game.

      @@TheRealLizardKing yes, just store the CRT content in a 1Mbyte EasyFlash or Kung Fu Flash cartridge and plug it in a real C64.

      @@kirgan1000 the game Is on cartridge, so no load Is required because any data (graphic, sound, frame data, code) can be read at runtime with no delay.
