    I have 6000 A and I absolutely love it. I could only imagine what this song is like now.

    I have the evo 4.2s with a Roksan Kandy K2 integrated and have been looking at this amp a lot recently. Looking forward to your update in the review.

    Just wait until you review the new Wharfedale Dovedale speakers with that Audiolab 9000A 😇

    The DAC in the 9000 has five filters to change the sound characteristics in terms of frequency, imaging and sound stage. That may have given you a bit of the augmentation you were looking for.

    You can use the Pre Power to add a mini DSP DIRAC 🙂

    I am purchasing a 9000a, but, only because I use an Eversolo A8 for streaming and it has DSP.

    How far off the wall do you typically have your speakers?

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio Год назад

      Usually about 6-10”. Looks better that way.

    your speakers are too bright if you keep turning up the bass and turning down the treble.

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio Год назад

      Then that would make all speakers too bright. 😂😂😂

    I've owned a 6000A, and no matter how much work you do to tweak your system and room, the recordings are the weak link for the most part. If ever there could be a recording standard for studios, then audio companies could voice their amps to that standard and get away from tone controls. But we don't live in a perfect world, so I had to get rid of that 6000A for an amp that has bass and treble controls. Audiolab wants no part in it. Maybe they wouldn't be able to keep up making enough for us to buy if they did. I've been asking them directly on their website for years for tone controls, and I believe more people should do the same if they ever want to see them on the faceplate of their favorite Audiolab integrateds. Wishful thinking I guess. Thanks for the video.

      It's not so much recording studios as it is our own hearing, our rooms, our musical/ sound signature preference and what we play our favorite music on. These days we're spoiled for choice. While I wish tone controls were on everything, it might be wishful thinking on higher priced gear.

    If you need tone controls, you're listening to bad recordings.

      So are lots of things ! My speakers cost me £4000, they are overpriced. Sounds fantastic though.
