R.I.P. David Canary, I grew up watching him and so sad to hear of his passing. A legend is lost and it's just another piece of the world you wish you could go back to. Heaven is full of joy welcoming him home.
God Bless you David....you were a great actor and you will be missed. I am a man that never watched a soap opera until the day I was off work and my wife showed me her early afternoon activities. I took a liking to the character you portrayed (the way you took the Adam Chandler character and put your own spin on it), and soon found myself watching the show whenever I had the time, and it was available to me. I often told my wife I would love to meet you, hoping at one of our many dinners out in Atlanta that I would see you- but unfortunately never did. It was a pleasure to see you on tv, you were a great actor and a credit to your race- the HUMAN race. Sleep well.
I was forced to watch soaps because there was only one tv at home, so of course, I thought they sucked, and would make fun of anyone who watched them....until I was won over by the Stuart/Cindy storyline. I was so impressed by it because it was gutsy to have that story during the AIDS crisis. It was one of the many stories that Agnes Nixon fought the network for so it could be told. I miss seeing David on my TV.

He did not die from natural causes. He was suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, which would explain why he made very few appearances on the AMC Reboot in 2013.
One year he came to Edmonton for the rodeo as a feature. He rode around the arena on a horse and as he came close to me on the rail I grabbed his extended hand and almost pulled him off the horse! He looked at me and laughed it off politely...big moment for a teenager!!
I watched this soap only for about 3 weeks a really long time ago. I remember. the wedding cake. freaked me out and concluded for myself soaps are creepy and not for me. maybe God gave him many bars of soap at the gate.

The best actor ever on All My Children but deep down a genuine, compassionate, Down to Earth human being.....RIP to the great David Canary
Does anyone besides me remember that David Canary was on bonanza? Not as impressive as his work on All My Children, but worth mentioning.
