J-Man had the exact same problems with his. He also changed the spring as they did not have enough tension to keep the bridge flat to the body. It kept tune very well after that. It's a shame that Westcreek would not find these things in their Quality Control. Given that it really doesn't have other issues it really is a nice sounding guitar. J-Man really rocked on his. If I had better playing ability, I would certainly entertain the thought of buying one myself. I still watch all your videos. Keep them coming, we learn so much from them.
Wow man! They are very consistent with their issues at least hahaha! Other than unpolished frets, mine are perfect. No high frets no raised ones.. but everything else was identical to yours! Even right down to the G and B string needing to come down some in the nut hahaha! Pickups sound awesome, and I as well had to swap out 2 springs in order to just tune it hahaha!
Found a way to get your spring's on the claw, without backing off the claw screws, you simply use a flat head screwdriver, place the tip of the screwdriver into the hole of the spring you want to attach, then slide the tip through the spring loop and over the top of the claw spike that you want the spring to attach to,then you just lift the screwdriver up 90 degrees behind the spike, and slide the loop down over the claw spike, some tuning problems can be eliminated by widening nut slots, you get a lot of bang for your bucks with these guitars, nice straight string pull on the headstock
Definitely not a beginners guitar with these issues. I guess it's better having to replace the springs and screws than it is having to replace pickups. Someone should have caught the spring issue. I wonder if the back cavity is cut shorter than it should be.
I saw that J-MAN ran into exactly this same issue on his one. I think the main problem does appear to be their choice of springs and claw screws, not the cavity length. Luckily, it seems to be easily fixable by just putting in some beefier springs and screws, and I’ve seen more expensive guitars out there with worse issues than this. Still, it would be nice if Westcreek fixed this problem on future production runs. I’d say it almost looks like Westcreek was rushing just to get this new model available on Amazon by a certain time.
Lots to do with this one. West Creek rushed these out. Poor QC and poor choice of materials-claw and dry wall screws? EEK! Poorly set frets? Yuck! Have fun with it and get better!

I don't think the cavity is shorter because the cover fits as per normal and it's a standard size cover
