Vlog 192: “Another Day, Another Truck” Moreland Garbage - The LEV

As Daniel said; “Another Day, Another Truck.”
First of all, a big thanks to one of my mates for letting me know this truck was out. I had originally planned to go to another area, but scrapped those plans when I found out this truck was out and about.
Citywide run 2 LEVs (Low Entry Vehicles) in the Moreland contract, these are believed to be the last 2 LEVs that run full-time in Australia,
I've shown a lot of the Recycle unit; #11481, which has a larger 29m body, and today I bring you some footage of the other unit; #11486, which has a smaller 22m body and is full time on Garbage, however during the time of filming it was acting as a spare truck, Personally I haven’t filmed it much, but there is hours of footage of it on RUclips, I have seen this truck around a lot on previous occasions, but never really been bothered to film it, only recently when I noticed how little footage of this truck I had, I showed more interest in getting a decent video of it. The perm driver of this truck, Wayne, was off for a few months, and #FN20002 was covering his runs and this truck got very little use while he was off, but on this day, Danny’s perm truck, #FN15062 broke down around 6am, leaving Danny to get this truck, they were dealing with a shortage of trucks, and this was the only truck left he could use.
#11486 is our only LEV with a 22m body, it has also been fitted out with the newer UG-6 Grabbers, Daniel was not at all a fan of this truck haha, didn’t like it one bit, I just had to leave in the fail at the start, immediately after the next bin was also knocked over, and a certain 4 letter word beginning with ‘F’ was yelled out a few times, haha. Big Thanks to Danny for being chilled with me filming, he much appreciated the help from me & my mate. The filming is not up to my normal standard in some shots, this is simply due to how bloody cold it was and my hands were freezing lol.
I also have some footage of this truck collecting Recycle to upload in the future.

Super entertaining video mate! Love watching this driver quickly handle the bins, the simple and thin Aussie arms are much easier to maneuver than the clunky American ones.

It is good fun to watch a truck swiftly collecting a line of bins, The Australian arms tend to be more simple and easier to operate compared to the American ones, this particular model; Bucher is one of the best in my opinion, their newer versions have thinner grabs, which have been fitted onto this truck.
