- I know this is likely a fool's errand, but I'd like to explain what I really thought after finally viewing all three parts. It was as flawed as I figured it might be, but it fits the Netflix lineup too well!

Suzanne, First, Your hair looks great!! I have to admit, I am envious. A lifetime of Lupus and other autoimmune diseases have thinned my hair till it's almost gone. Second, that color of blue is really your color. Third, I'm like you in that I really can't stand either political side. And it really pisses me off that I have to defend myself against those who think because I call out one side or the other, then I must support the other side. Both parties are corrupt. The ppl in our government have committed a multitude of crimes and then get off on calling out the other side to appear like they own the moral high ground.
I think what bothers me the most about that documentary is Miranda's parents. They participated in this doc that they knew would air on Netflix and have put out info that will forever follow Miranda and her career. They appeared to me to be upset that they lost their money ticket and the attention they would receive from their daughters becoming famous. You are right about the parents being pageant parents. I've been around a lot of them. Spot on. Another thing I noticed about this doc is that it would lead you up to the edge of showing some particularly damning acts and then just fall short of showing actual receipts, leaving the watcher hanging. KJ told of several horrible things that were never brought up in the doc, for ex. the waterboarding.
As always, I love listening to your take on things. I may differ in my opinion from time to time, but I always get something out of your videos. You are right about not being able to shame anyone out of a religion and also, once your kids are adults, all you can do is be there to catch them when they fall. You can't force adults to do what you want them to do.

In a statement in 2022 she said that her family is toxic and she doesn't want to see them because of their harassment and judgment. They come off as ridiculous.

I saw a man interviewed (several years ago) that used to work for PBS. He no longer watches documentaries because while at PBS, he learned their requirement to be called a documentary was only that there has to be three proven facts in the film. Basically, the rest can be BS, biased opinions, unsubstantiated information, etc. I now consider them entertainment, rather than resources. This one definitely came across as an agenda/vehicle for the Wilkings more than anything else.
It definitely seemed quite slanted. Supporters of a certain person are saying that does not matter, the only thing that matters is how awful Shinn is, without understanding that two different things can be true at the same time.
I see her cutting off her family for any reason we don't get to say it was her life. My husband cut his parents out they were crap. Maybe marinda does not want to say in public what they did and that's fine.
So glad to see someone else has the same “take” on it as I did. I’ve felt for a while that the Wilkings were more controlling than concerned. It was a typical Netflix “Dramatary”. Their Documentaries get more views than anything because they only have a couple good series and they are 3 years apart! They have declined in putting out good content.
This has been the push for me to finally cancel my subscription. I mostly watch my HBO Max account about ten to one over my Netflix. Now if Universal and Hulu had availability here I'd sign up for them instead.

Gets in the way is the only real problem. It was a pretty terrible problem yesterday morning when I ended up throwing up and it got in my hair! I nearly shaved my head afterward I was so upset

First of all OH MY GOODNESS 😍 you look amazing 🤩 love love ur hair 🤩 . I can even imagine having 1/4 of ur beautiful hair illness and stress has left me with short fine hair. Pls pls never cut that off !! Ok about this so-called documentary I agree with you. I believe it was extremely one-sided. I do believe their aspects of Robert Shinn that are problematic as for Patricia she was sharing story of something that happened 20 years ago and whether or not he is treating his church this way nowadays didn’t hear anybody say that. I also agree I think the Wilking family went about this all wrong. I think the parents acting like the classic stage parents where they had a dream for their kids and wanted them to be a little dancing stars. It’s about fame and money. It’s also obvious that Miranda is more talented than Melanie and I think Melanie is jealous. I think the parents are disappointed that Miranda moved on and that they are not longer making the money that they used to with both the girls dancing together, when Miranda wanted to start fresh and all she asked was take down the videos about her they refused so how badly did they really want to reconnect with Miranda ? To me Melanie seems entitled . And angry her sister moved on . I’m thinking at this point if I was Miranda I would not want much to do with my sister or my parents after they did this . As for without a box of Kleenex, I think she was hoping this docu series would somehow make the lawsuit go away, but I think the she might get a rude awakening . She needs to maybe stop accusing people of crimes when there’s no proof !
I think this is going to provide more proof of her (Without Kleenex) guilt and go against her. She never could read the room.
