I met Paul in the toilet before their show in March, what a strange experience that was
Got a little dizzy from watching this lol. Met this guy after a show in Tulsa, OK and he's a great fit for the band. I've followed the band for years and, in my opinion, he's the best fit since Travis. That is my opinion, so now please tell me how I'm wrong and an uneducated asshole because this is the comments section of RUclips :)
I was at the Tulsa show. Fucking amazing.
+Reynard Compton At the Vanguard? It was the highlight of my concert experiences. One of the opening bands are all good friends of mine and seeing them open for my favorite bands was incredible
I think from all the drummers trivium has paul is the one that fit less in the band...he look like a drummer from some 70s band
Then they get Alex Bent and everybody forgets all the old drummers of Trivium. Alex Bent destroys all!
nick is better
@@tfwnoyandere oh seriously dude fuck off. Nick sucks.
The Sin and The Sentence album is literally dominated by Alex’s performance.
Nick was nothing compared to Alex. Its clear as day.
He stayed
@@tfwnoyandere Alex is far and away the best drummer this band has ever had and will ever have. Let’s hope they never get rid of him, because the day that they do is the day I will stop listening to Trivium forever. Alex plays perfectly in the studio and live. Can you say the same for Nick? No, he was sloppy as fuck live and his tempo was all over the place
Can't wait to see what Paul brings to the studio. Might give a bit of life back to the albums, he's definitely given life back to the live performance
That aged very horribly
Jeez they're having a tough time finding drummers that will stick with them.
I'm pretty sure madrio was just filling in after nick augusto left the band. He knew all the parts because he was nicks drum tech. Which is funny because nick was travis's drum tech.
wow, I didn't know that
Yeah but madrio also recorded the drums for this album. It's not the drummer.. it's Heafy who is a perfectionist. I think they kicked Nick out because he wasn't disciplined enough to be in the band. Not that his drumming was bad, but everything off stage was getting out of hand. I don't know man.. I just want Travis back. Travis had this Rock & roll pressence around him, he fit the role perfectly. Hard to explain what I mean.
+Ramul matt heafy didn't kick him out.. Nick left. He is a death metal drummer at heart and he wasn't fulfilling his passion with trivium. Which is a shame I enjoyed nicks drumming the best.
+Franco Sulfaro No he was kicked out, Nick has said that it wasn't his decision
ROCK"N DERBY was amazing
i saw Trivium with this drummer at the nova Rock and it Was soooo fucking Awesome!!!! trivium for Life and his playing Was on point
the man knows what he's doing
This is awesome
Great Paul ! \m/ Still waiting for your concert in Gdańsk Trivium ! \m/
MORE VIDEOS NEEDED!!!
drummer of the year
GRANDE PAUL! Vuelvan a Chile porfavor!
Definitely can't wait to see Paul's work in Trivium. And I do hope they bring Shogun prog back!!
Great drumming man. I love this.
That snare though.
wow 💚
Quero ve se aparece br hueheue
olha eu aqui kkk
+Dina Moreira oh nois aqui =)
Aqui é BR na parada
BR Carai!!
People are so whiny. Paul literally nails all the drumming parts live, and tries to have fun with it too. He is the most interesting to watch and he's much better live than the two drummers before him. I've seen him live, he is tight. You all will be drooling over him with how much of an improvement you hear in an album he gets to write for
Fucking Legend!!! I met this guy after their show in my moms mini van hahaha
all hail Trivium
realmente me gusta esta banda
Feels like I'm the only one who likes Paul. The other drummers where great, I wont deny that, but theres just something about Paul I like.
Paul is, for me, the best drummer of trivium with travis, but travis is'nt better than paul.
Cant beat Nick Augusto or Travis Smith
Nick is bad for Trivium
explain?
+OiAvogadro He is fast but not really match with Trivium style. And when on stage with Trivium, he ruin the tempo.
Other guys (Travis, Madiro, and Wandtke) are better than him. Madiro is the best one i think. and Travis in 2nd place (he also not so good in tempo when live, but he is a great writter)
Trivium must get Travis back
+Dimetrius Utomo SO TRUE!
this guy's a fucking beast!!!
Impressive!!
taking nothing away from this guy but I liked madiro 😦 he only done recording on SITS and a bit of touring and he's gone already 😕
❤❤❤
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Every drummer of Trivium had strengths, but this guy definitely plays the tightest overall
come to greece guys in thessalonikh pls
It's like they're a whole different band now :(
oh god i just realized this guy is hired. WHY GOD WHY?
What's the problem?
+BassFyro i get that hes good and all, but madiro was just better, and plus, this guy is their fourth drummer. Matt was only here for two years!
im honestly not as hyped for this band as i used to. i feel like the flame died out. some of you may disagree, but to me it all seems so bland. not as exciting as it used to be.
+Colin Veenker Madiro? Matt? The lazy guy that had no stage presence? 2 years? I thought it was shorter.
cool
Awesome ;) wicked drum skills ,
cool :-)
How many fucking drummer they had!!??
His movement does kinda remind me of Octodad. :D
Gg paul
What happened to the other guy?!
Mat Madiro i think
I actually wanna know this too
+Mr Speed I was starting to like him
same..but the trivium thing is drummers dont stay long anymore lol. I liked Nick..but he had to leave...
+Mr Speed Nick was probably my favorite I don't get it
🇧🇷🇦🇸🇮🇱
Where is mat madiro?💔
The best is paul 😜
Everyone talks like Travis is Travis Barker he was good been a fan since 08 I've heard it all nick is better in my own opinion Paul is a bit goofy but he will be a good fit for their ever evolving sound lol
The verses remind me of RoadRash!
?
Wow great performance with a basic set, too bad that last drummer has lasted so little
Might as well take this down. Lol
who the fuck cares if they change the drummer its still bad ass
they are good note but nothing like they used to be
fuck, i'm dizzy.
:
ОГОНЬ, РАКЕЕЕЕТА!!!!!
Is he even playing the kick ? Legs don't move half the time..
He is using his right leg mostly which is not visible. His left comes into play when there's double kick patterns.
Paul should scream more.
just watching him play annoys me. whats with the constant drumstick spin? Trivium had been one of my favorite bands for a long time. even though Travis will always be my favorite drummer for Trivium, i thought Nick was okay. but watching this guy play with them just ruins the whole band for me. Vengeance Falls was the last album i enjoyed from them.
Wow, he puts out a show and he seems alright doing that, he enjoying himself on the stage thats why he spins with the sticks.
Hope this drummer can make good drum parts! Silence in the Snow is by far the weakest Trivium album when it comes to the drums.
Nick's drumming was inconsistent and all over the place and Mat's was the most straight forward repetitive beats with literally the same drum fill multiple times in every song!
As a drummer, that ruins the whole album.
Can't they just get Travis back!? :P
Silence In The Snow had awesome drums! Maybe not as awesome as some past albums, but they were still amazing. Listen to the intro of Breathe In The Flames(which probably has the fastest double kick I've ever heard). Even the more melodic songs like Beneath The Sun and the title track have some awesome drum speed.
maaan, you are wrong! Those song are ment for slower drumming. Madiros percussion was by far superior than Wandtkes....
Superior than Wandtke? Im sure Madiro is a great drummer but i think the contribution he did was just meant to fill in the empty space and was probably told how he would play it.
+MrShaboo22 That's what I'm thinking. Silence in the Snow sounds like a guitarist's instruction on how the drums should be.
Leaving Mat with little to no choice, it's all very straight forward, as is alot on that album, but the drumming is just bad and uninventive on most songs.
first bitches
Meh, still think Nick was the best fit
Can agree 100%, but I feel Paul never got a chance. Like, at all. It feels kind of sad in a way.
Madiro was much better...
lol
+hadicekX dude, listen to some real live shit, this guy misses a looooot, but ok...
Madiro was just a standin, and you could see on his stage presence that he wasnt experienced to play live.
Lol, im sure that Madiro is tight, but this guy is probably the tightest out of all the drummers they had.
madiro is a great drummer. He made silence in the snow listenable. He saved that album from mediocrity, and what? Trivium kicked him and hire just normal drummer...
Probably wait and see when Paul records the next album yeah? Paul is experienced and a tight drummer and maybe they kicked him out of other reasons? like they did with the other drummers.
What the fuck makes you think he's "just a normal drummer"? I like Mat because he was tight as fuck live, especially since Nick was a gamble every time and played sloppy as fuck live for the most part. Paul is just as good and capable as Mat, if not better, and he doesn't use any triggers what so ever. Other than all that, Paul is an amazing performer and showman and really gets into it, something that Mat never did live.
Look up Pauls own youtube channel.
