The one thing im happy about is the characters having facial expressions, everything else i already know will be fantastic, regardless of the bugs and other issues, 4 more days to go before i get my hands on the game myself

Gonna start my replay tonight, using a base PS4 so I hope that is enough to run Forbidden West as Dying Light 2 had some issues, most notably being the time it takes to open the map and sometimes enemies popping in cuz the game can't load fast enough while I'm paraglliding
knowing me, I'll be doing a lot of side quests before the main quest for EXP, so will have many different talks to those who do mainly the main quests than the side-quests to finish it as fast as possible. For me, when they do side-quests, they are the key thing that I do as soon as I can for EXP and rewards, that and it could take me to areas that otherwise I wouldn't normally go in the main quests.

I do know that i was just trying to say that as a joke, but in a serious sense i will wait until i do get a ps5 to play this wonderful game even though i know it can be run on ps4 i know its going to sound like a jet engine trying to run it at only 30FPS along with the weaker compatibilities of a ps4 instead of a ps5 💀 not trying to crap on ps4, im just worried is all.

Can't wait to play on ULTRA HARD like Horizon Zero Dawn. Guerrilla really raised the Bar for the upcoming Next Gen games like CD Projekt did with Witcher 3.
Knowing that the old world's history is far more expanded upon and at the center makes me even more excited for the lore videos that Random Side Quest will be putting out. For anyone that doesn't know Random Side Quest is an amazing channel for Horizon lore.
The story and characters in Zero Dawn are the best I think I have ever seen. This coming from a 51 year old guy says something. I cannot wait to see the game on the PS5 and whatever bugs it may have will be ironed out in time, like when new game + comes around. Taking time off work Friday to get a jump on this thing cannot wait to dive back in.
It feels lively and personal. That and it's a visual spectacle, so it's very easy to get immersed. I'm hoping it releases without any truly detrimental bugs, given some games, like Dying Light 2 that just released, has some bugs that completely halt all game play and story progression. Not a good thing to run into by any means, but let's hope HFW doesn't go that route. Looking forward to the experience!
@@frantz4g63 I totally agree. They delayed the game a year. So if they have any game breaking bugs that is very disappointing as they could have easily delayed the game a little longer.
I come back to all your forbidden west videos after i played the game myself, the only thing i saw about the game was the announcement back when the PS5 was first shown. I love your content but i just want to be blown away by this magical game
I can’t wait to play this myself even though you say spoiler-free. I like to be completely surprised by a game personally because you showing some cutscenes I never seen before and menu screen with skills and stuff and that’s so much for me when I never experienced even the start of the game yet. Spoiler: Noticed at 1:51 there's a main quest for a Gaia back up. I'm so keen for the story in this one it's been so long since there was a decent game in my opinion since it was all about battle royal for a time
I bought it. I just haven't started really playing. I found a machine with arrows in it at the beginning of the game but my buddy was stuck swimming in a locked position so the cutscene wouldn't load suggesting Aloy to collect wood to make arrows. So I encountered my 1st bug!
It actually is explained. It is said that the „battery“ of some sort is dead or more like a power core is kinda extinguished, that‘s why that outfit doesn‘t work anymore. I may be mistaken tho.
I'm really loving what I'm seeing so far, I can't wait to play. They may have a few bugs but it's to be expected with new games. Honestly this looks so much more diverse than zero dawn.

Currently grinding Zero Dawn (using your tips, tricks, and early weapons/outfits videos) and can’t wait to get into Forbidden West. Eurogamer's review is pretty critical of the story and many of the new features brought to Forbidden West. My question: Other than visual fidelity and animations.. in what way(s) has HFW improved upon the formula of the original game?
Great. There’s a character here, who despite completing everything in his quest line, and the trophy banner appearing, I never actually got the accompanying trophy, and it’s the reason why I still don’t have my first platinum. Now, I have something in this game to constantly remind me of the one way the last one sucked.
Will we be able to hide Head Pieces in the Settings menu from the get-go this time? Lol I remember they patched that in HZD months later and it's one of my favorite options

I have to admit I thought the HUD was minimised but I was clearly wrong. Guess maybe I’ll turn off a few of the options for a more cinematic because the first game HUD kinda overwhelmed me
From the clips I've seen the one QOL feature they really need to add is harvest all. Watching you ride up to a bunch of branches and still have to individually loot them hurts lol
On one hand, I like reviews, on the other hand, I don't like influencing the art that an artist makes. I think that people who review games and other people that just want to beat the game because they don't have much time see games differently than people that are fine playing in segments. Things like too much optional dialogue are fine bc they are "optional". Idk I want games to be as long as possible. Games are pretty expensive and I want to be as immersed as much I can for as long as I can. I would hate to create anything for a wide audience, you can't please everyone so there will be a bunch of trade-offs and I wouldn't be making the art I want to make. Just let the art be what it is .
the weaver armor pretty much made you immortal in the first game, I hope I can unlock all the skills as I'm a OCD gamer where I need to complete everything.
i just hope the story with the main villian is better this time around. while the story about the past was great, the story surrounding the main bad guy was really boring.

Performance mode is 1800p while resolution mode is 4K so difference in resolution is insignificant unless you sit really close to the TV so in my opinion performance mode is the better mode.
I was half expecting elemental variants being more commonplace after seeing normal, acid, and fire-based clawstriders in the promotional footage so far, so I'm glad it's an actual thing and not just like the last game where they came rarely, and as whole separate machines in the catalog.
Great review. I remember in #1 you could free roam the map and fight machines even after you already destroyed them. They re spawned in herds. After beating the game I would just load the game to have fun battling machines. Is the same true in Forbidden West? You mentioned battling each big machine once. I hope we can roam the world freely and encounter all machines. This makes the game so much more re playable. Thanks for the review!
Hello JorRaptor, I want to pre-buy the game but I’m torn between the deluxe and the regular version. Do you know if the outfits from the deluxe versions are similar to the deluxe version of ZD in the sense that they don’t provide anything and 0 upgrades for mid-late game ? I want the outfits but only if they will be at least upgradable or helpful. Hope you can please let me know this if you know.
Can you feel stuff like rain and grass on the ps5 controller. for example in astros playroom you could feel each individual droplet of water and it was breathtaking!
Did they update the Override mechanic with more features? Do you have a lot more mounts? (I want to ride the crocodile!) Can overridden machines follow you now?
more critical than i was expecting, which is a good thing i think because it probably means you're not lying. im still skeptical of pre-release reviews because of the whole cyberpunk debacle, but im still really excited for this game. not pre-ordering tho, im gonna try to wait maybe a day or two after release to see what the consensus is first
Hi JorRaptor! first of all: I love watching your Horizon Forbidden West video’s!! 😊 but there’s also something that I’ve been wondering about the video’s/gif’s/pictures of the game that are on the internet. Cuz’ I’ve seen some outfits in different colors, which makes me wonder; is it possible to give outfits different colors? (In this video for example; I see the Utaru harvester outfit in the colors red and white).
I FINALLY got my hands on a PS5 today! I bought it because of this game and PSVR2. Horizon Zero Dawn was one of my all time favorite games on the PS4 and I can’t wait to play this one!
Since Preorders are still open, and no one talks about it... Is the Dlc content worth it? I mean: Any meaningful attribute in those outfits? The weapons are exclusive, do have any unique skill atached to them or are just a simple color variation? Is the "chess Piece" an early unlock or unique? Thanks Jor in advance.
I hope they add more through dlc , outfits , skills, changing hair would be cool. New dlc plus add a few things in existing world that changes it so that u go back through it and say hey this character or machine or vendor wasn’t here
I just watched the review from (what culture gaming )and all I can say is the fact that he was actually trying to rate this game is ridiculous. his review had nothing good to say. The one thing he fails to mention is no game is perfect. Going into this one I know there’s going to be a lot of stuff recycled from the first game look at one of my favourite franchises for example ratchet and clank it’s pretty much the same game with a few tweaks and a couple new weapons but I will always get those games because I love the story and that is where horizon gets it right.
That's pretty much what people should expect of a sequel though, the same core gameplay but with improvements across the board. People liked Zero Dawn, so there's no reason for them to completely change things up.
Picking up my Collectors Edition for Forbidden West Friday after work. Its one of three games I've ever pre-ordered a CE for, the other two being Witcher 3 and Yakuza 6. My only regret is that I have to play it on my trusty PS4 Pro because I can't find a PS5.
I was really hoping for an Assassin's Creed style of outfit customization. Be able to put different pieces on or remove. Instead of a fixed outfit system again.
3 things Are the machines harder to face on very hard then in zero dawn? How many new machines that werent shown is it lik 10 more? Is the story better then zero dawns?
One thing you forget to mention,but,wont,because you were given a copy is why should people bother spending £450 on a ps5,when Horizon Forbidden west doesnt even run @4k 60fps ... only 4k 30fps and 1800p @60fps ... yet they release un update for Horizon Zero Dawn,so that is ran @4k 60fps,you would think that SONY would make 4k 60fps a standard on ps5 ... lets face it,you buy a next gen console,for better visuals and frame rates,obviously SONY isnt all that bothered.
The Shield Weaver wasn't powered on while in stasis for centuries. Presumably, the power supply ran out after too much time or abuse. Given the knowledge that it can only be legitimately obtained right before the final battle, I like to think it had just enough power to keep her alive against Helis and HADES. Here's hoping we can restore it over the course of the game.
Probably an end-game side quest to fully restore the Shield Weaver's capabilities, hell maybe we'll get the full armor set and helmet shown when first getting it in HZD but that's just wishful thinking on my part
I put about 10 hours into Zero Dawn and idk, it just never really grabbed me so i never finished it. But this one looks a LOT better!! Once I've fully mastered Sifu I might have to give this one a run 👍🏾
I just wanna know if the nora thunder sling, and the carja shortbow is worth the ekstra money. In Denmark the price for the standard edition with free upgrade is 60 dollars, and the deluxe edition is 102 dollars. Is it worth the extra 40 dollars?

I’m 27 hours in on Zero Dawn (on PC) and the game is amazing. Now I’m really looking forward to this coming to PC in a couple of year.

I think that people who review games and other people that just want to beat the game because they don't have much time see games differently than people that are fine playing in segments. Things like too much optional dialogue are fine bc they are "optional". Idk I want games to be as long as possible. Games are pretty expensive and I want to be as immersed as much I can for as long as I can. I would hate to create anything for a wide audience, you can't please everyone so there will be a bunch of trade-offs and I wouldn't be making the art I want to make. Just let the art be what it is .

i just hope the story with the main villian is better this time around. while the story about the past was great, the story surrounding the main bad guy was really boring.

Which mode do you suggest playing on, performance or graphical?
Performance mode is 1800p while resolution mode is 4K so difference in resolution is insignificant unless you sit really close to the TV so in my opinion performance mode is the better mode.

I was half expecting elemental variants being more commonplace after seeing normal, acid, and fire-based clawstriders in the promotional footage so far, so I'm glad it's an actual thing and not just like the last game where they came rarely, and as whole separate machines in the catalog.

Great review. I remember in #1 you could free roam the map and fight machines even after you already destroyed them. They re spawned in herds. After beating the game I would just load the game to have fun battling machines. Is the same true in Forbidden West? You mentioned battling each big machine once. I hope we can roam the world freely and encounter all machines. This makes the game so much more re playable. Thanks for the review!
Hello JorRaptor, I want to pre-buy the game but I’m torn between the deluxe and the regular version. Do you know if the outfits from the deluxe versions are similar to the deluxe version of ZD in the sense that they don’t provide anything and 0 upgrades for mid-late game ? I want the outfits but only if they will be at least upgradable or helpful. Hope you can please let me know this if you know.
So excited for this sequel. Loved Horizon on the PS4 and can’t wait to play it on the PS5. Took off of work Friday to just enjoy the game!!
I am glad that you cannot change the visuals of outfits. That is something that I consider immersion breaking. I never once used it in AC:V.
Can you feel stuff like rain and grass on the ps5 controller. for example in astros playroom you could feel each individual droplet of water and it was breathtaking!
Does your equipment and Armor/mods transfer along ?
Did they update the Override mechanic with more features? Do you have a lot more mounts? (I want to ride the crocodile!) Can overridden machines follow you now?

more critical than i was expecting, which is a good thing i think because it probably means you're not lying. im still skeptical of pre-release reviews because of the whole cyberpunk debacle, but im still really excited for this game. not pre-ordering tho, im gonna try to wait maybe a day or two after release to see what the consensus is first
Hi JorRaptor! first of all: I love watching your Horizon Forbidden West video’s!! 😊 but there’s also something that I’ve been wondering about the video’s/gif’s/pictures of the game that are on the internet. Cuz’ I’ve seen some outfits in different colors, which makes me wonder; is it possible to give outfits different colors? (In this video for example; I see the Utaru harvester outfit in the colors red and white).
Quick note. You don't have to actually go physically to the stash. Just hold dpad up wherever and it wirelessly updates your herbs 🤭

I FINALLY got my hands on a PS5 today! I bought it because of this game and PSVR2. Horizon Zero Dawn was one of my all time favorite games on the PS4 and I can’t wait to play this one!
Since Preorders are still open, and no one talks about it... Is the Dlc content worth it? I mean:
Any meaningful attribute in those outfits?
The weapons are exclusive, do have any unique skill atached to them or are just a simple color variation?
Is the "chess Piece" an early unlock or unique?

I hope they add more through dlc , outfits , skills, changing hair would be cool. New dlc plus add a few things in existing world that changes it so that u go back through it and say hey this character or machine or vendor wasn’t here

I just watched the review from (what culture gaming )and all I can say is the fact that he was actually trying to rate this game is ridiculous. his review had nothing good to say. The one thing he fails to mention is no game is perfect. Going into this one I know there’s going to be a lot of stuff recycled from the first game look at one of my favourite franchises for example ratchet and clank it’s pretty much the same game with a few tweaks and a couple new weapons but I will always get those games because I love the story and that is where horizon gets it right.
That's pretty much what people should expect of a sequel though, the same core gameplay but with improvements across the board. People liked Zero Dawn, so there's no reason for them to completely change things up.
Zero dawn is when I first discovered you and forbidden west reminds me so much of those good times thank you for many years of great content
Picking up my Collectors Edition for Forbidden West Friday after work. Its one of three games I've ever pre-ordered a CE for, the other two being Witcher 3 and Yakuza 6. My only regret is that I have to play it on my trusty PS4 Pro because I can't find a PS5.

I was really hoping for an Assassin's Creed style of outfit customization. Be able to put different pieces on or remove. Instead of a fixed outfit system again.

One thing you forget to mention,but,wont,because you were given a copy is why should people bother spending £450 on a ps5,when Horizon Forbidden west doesnt even run @4k 60fps ... only 4k 30fps and 1800p @60fps ... yet they release un update for Horizon Zero Dawn,so that is ran @4k 60fps,you would think that SONY would make 4k 60fps a standard on ps5 ... lets face it,you buy a next gen console,for better visuals and frame rates,obviously SONY isnt all that bothered.

The Shield Weaver wasn't powered on while in stasis for centuries. Presumably, the power supply ran out after too much time or abuse. Given the knowledge that it can only be legitimately obtained right before the final battle, I like to think it had just enough power to keep her alive against Helis and HADES. Here's hoping we can restore it over the course of the game.
Probably an end-game side quest to fully restore the Shield Weaver's capabilities, hell maybe we'll get the full armor set and helmet shown when first getting it in HZD but that's just wishful thinking on my part
I put about 10 hours into Zero Dawn and idk, it just never really grabbed me so i never finished it. But this one looks a LOT better!! Once I've fully mastered Sifu I might have to give this one a run 👍🏾
I just wanna know if the nora thunder sling, and the carja shortbow is worth the ekstra money. In Denmark the price for the standard edition with free upgrade is 60 dollars, and the deluxe edition is 102 dollars. Is it worth the extra 40 dollars?
