5:45 certified Tekken moment
Hahahaha and thats how i win over jinpanchi.
I like how Sugiura and Tesso are so casual about it in the end. They’re just letting boys be boys.
It's like one of those moments how friends are fighting it out, then you got those who be chillin.
just get the popcorn
Sugiura and Tesso being bystanders is equivalent to watching a Twitter argument from afar
@@fwapkiwami Except this argument actually matters
I find it a wholesome scene in a tragic way, and the music they picked for this specific scene is just damn beautiful.
“She didn’t cry about flawed laws, she took justice with her own two hands.”
god I love Kuwana. His theme is right up there with Penumbra for me.
You know, considering the whole reason behind Kuwana's vigilanteism, I wouldn't be surprised if the proverbial bitter pill, that Yagami would eventually have to swallow in all of this, would be that essentially, Kuwana wouldn't be an isolated incident.
That there will be others like him that'll go to extremes like murder and blackmail, all for the sake of making a statement on how screwed the country's justice system is, and how sluggish the rates of its attempts at fixing itself are.
That there may be even people that use Kuwana as an inspiration; Someone to follow in the footsteps of, and continue his work, long after the man is out of the picture, and possibly ones who'd be much quicker to try and silence Yagami, thinking that he's just a deluded naysayer, who's only obstructing what needs to be done.
And that all-in-all, folks like Kuwana would, in fact, be an inevitability.
@@retrogamelover2012 as much as i hate it, Yagami sense of justice is binded by the law (duh, he is ex attorney)
@@pp-vf8ls I disagree, if it wasn't for Sawa sensei's death Yagami would've let them go and have their happy ending. Certainly I definitely understand Kuwana's action and reasons but resorting to murder is just a mean to be as worse as a bully.
@@SuperMophie yeah true sawa sensei is just to drive yagami's motivation more
@@SuperMophie I actually think yagami wouldve tried to stop him either way cos with or without sawa dying, Bando is still gonna exploit the murders as leverage against Reiko. Soma also still her yandere. Plus, stopping him is a good way to expose the students who worked for kuwana too.

I love that Kuwana and Yagami so tired, their fight turned into a straight up slugfest.
I just like it more than his usual over the top kung fu move

More raw thus it feels real.
Kiryu would probably be a good charity worker and stop their fight...by beating them up.
From Yagami's POV, Kuwana's 'the end justifies the means attitude' most likely reminds him too much of Shono.
Plus what bugs Yagami the most is that Kuwana accepts no responsibility for innocent who get caught in the crossfire because of his actions.
Because Sawa won't be the only one if Kuwana continues his crusade.
everyone likes to ignore this when they defend kuwana on reddit lol
And I think Yagami would have to accept the fact that Kuwana won't be one-off, and there'll be others like him that'll go to extreme lengths, to even make a mere statement of society's problems, and the sluggish to borderline lethargic attempts to fix them, some possibly even using him as an inspiration, and possibly wouldn't be quite as hesitant to put Yagami in the ground, if they think he's just another deluded naysayer, who's only contributing more to the problems, rather than helping anyone.
@@MrBadGuyX Well, no. I mean, I can empathise with Kuwana's ploy (butterfly effects, that'd be the bane on anyone's existance, aside), and I still acknowledge what happened with Sawa, but at the same time... I feel like Yagami ought to realize that folks like Kuwana are basically an inevitability; That there'll be others like him, that'll go to these lengths to even make a statement on society's problems and how sluggish they are at fixing themselves, some possibly even looking to Kuwana as inspiration, and possibly wouldn't be quite as friendly as the man, as they'll likely try to put Yagami down, the moment they see him as another deluded naysayer, who's only contributing to the problem, rather than helping anyone.
And also the fact that, human history has basically shown us that even the most virtuous of paradigm shifts, involved people either getting their hands dirty, or being branded as boogeymen by the highly neurotic and sociopathic in-groups of society, which essentially just leads to things getting more muddy, in regards to Yagami's side of the argument, and which probably would at some point lead to him wondering at the back of his mind, if he's just deluding himself on things for other reasons, and such.
@@retrogamelover2012 Uh no. You make it sound like just anybody would have it in them to walk down the path Kuwana chose to walk. There are many in the past who have chosen to sacrifice themselves to a cause that they believed in, some which are truly noble, but there's a reason why they went down in history either as heroes or in notoriety, because not just anybody can follow the same path they chose to walk. It's a path full of loneliness, danger and strife, which more often than not would ultimately end in prison or death, usually the latter. If people get inspired to walk the same extreme path so easily, the world would be a way more chaotic place than it already is now.
@@vspirit Well, out of the billions of people that live in the world at large, I'm pretty sure there is at least one person out there, that'll take that first step.
Especially when they get pushed far enough by shit going on, in said world.
And really, until the very foundations of human nature go through a paradigm shift, let alone society, there will always be room for vigilanteism.
So really, I see folks like Kuwana as an inevitability, and something that I feel like is a reality that Yagami has to accept at some point.
I just checked
Yagami is 38 and Kuwana is 43
How in the....

Well Either Japanese men are build like saiyans or beating the shit out of folks makes u younger

Kuwana's theme is amazing.
7:31 the classic punch the other in the face at the same time
Yagami: “Fair argument, however: Sawa-Sensei”
This is easily my favorite boss fight in the game. The theme really sells it the most.
4:28 Thank you, Lost Judgement.

6:12 Yagami definitely should hit stairs.
6:44 Finishing with a bang!
if we have had a game before this revolving jin this game would've been even more impactful
i feel like you could say that about all the yakuza villains
I mean we played Kiryu as a Yakuza, Yagami as a detective/lawyer and could be perfect another spinoff but the MC Is a serial killer showing something more darker from the other two series.
You're not wrong but give any character an entire game to embellish themselves and they'd have more oomph.
@@Lethargy514 like a yakuza 0 type game
Does everyone need to have an over explained backstory these days? Sheesh
This bit here sold Kuwana, I absolutely love this character
Kawai has a point. Bullies deserve retribution.
The issue is that someone who was completely innocent got involved, and was killed for it.
They do deserve retribution, but killing them isn't going to make anyone grow meaningfully. Besides, Yagami never said they didn't deserve retribution, he just has a different way of resolving bullying that doesn't involve murder.
Punishments exist to correct wrongful behavior. No one can see the error of their ways if you kill them for that error.
@@Lethargy514 thats the whole point of the game with the Ehara
@@leoshikishi6308 just like doing nothing got someone killed.
@@Lethargy514 But the problem is that bullies aren’t getting any punishment. The law is effectively protecting them while punishing their victims and anyone that tries to help them like how poor Sawa was pressured by Toshiro’s shitty teacher’s lawyer to deny that Toshiro was bullied
Kuwana’s methods may be extreme but it is only done in the absence of any justice for bully victims. The law can be changed, yes, but _when_ is that change going to happen? The victims can’t wait. That’s why Kuwana isn’t necessarily wrong. Its a grey area

Kuwana; the Jigsaw of the franchise
dunno kuwana only helped victims get justice not just kidnap two dudes and a girl that was cheating on both of them and sat them across each other at a table with a giant saw on it and forced them to chose between pushing the saw forward into the other guy or working together to turn the saw towards the girl and disembowl her now that i think about it

Kuwana style of fighting looks like wing chun?
I have been trying to figure out his form but the only other thing I got out of it is that he is a lot more straight forward then Yagami in his style.
@@redserv3nt62 yea I've played most of the yakuza games and judgement observing alot of bosses fighting styles, kinda like kuroiwa his was similar to yagami and kuwana stance reminds me of a wing chun style.
Judging from his stance it does look Wing Chun based but probably has other styles of kung fu added into it.
@@johnashiru3952 i learned so far its based off of yagami style, but a little unrefined
Is this theme not in the Spotify OST?
I swear Tessi said Skinny Ginger Kid at some point in the dub
Interesting theme, is bullying a form of psychological abuse that can be resulted in a psychological murder? Influencing others to die? If Yagami argues for Sawa Yoko, though Kuwana and Reika Kusumoto seems to have the conviction in killing those bullies... Hmm.
Could it be agreed then, Kawai's method is indirect murder, whilst Reika is justified as punishment, or direct murder?
Yes, Kawai's actions are considered involuntary manslaughter. However, Kuwana and Reika are just murderers.
Yagami's issue with how they dealt with it is that it got others involved. Once RK found out who he was, they killed Sawa. That and Kuwana's lack of responsibility for her death really set him off.
can anybody give me skill advice cause this dude Fights Better Than I Can 😂
Stick to crane and snake.
Parry his grabs, have the waking warth and waterfall crash skills ready.

As a victim of bullying, I understand what Kuwana was attempting to do but he was ultimately wrong. Punishment as a deterrence only works if everyone knows what's happening. If people are dying and nobody knows why, you're just creating mass panic.
It doesn't help that his lack of responsibility for getting Sawa killed is unacceptable.
Why the hell could Kuwana have a draw with Yagami in here but got his ass kicked by Yagami in the final chapter? It just doesn't make sense
Yagami won because he simply managed to make Kuwana fall in this last fight
@@foufoustv2060 Yeah but Yagami was already having the upper hand and beating Kuwana up before Kuwana fell, unlike this fight where they were throwing punches at each other. It feels like Yagami became a lot stronger by the end of the game which is ridiculous
