what i learnt in training is if i do a rear leg slide that normally drops my opponent’s hands making them vulnerable for any types of strikes to the head (usually punches to the head since the rear leg slide puts your legs together which means you can’t kick). However once i do the rear leg slide i lift me front left leg and feint a side teep (this helps keep their hands low) then when my left leg is in the air i step on the outside of my opponent and land a round house kick or any other strike that will land shoulder height or above.
a part of me really hopes Izzy's next opponents don't see this lmao, but something tells me even if they did they'd still have a hard time reading him. either way, it's analysis like this and champions like Izzy that will advance the sport and allow mankind to reach a new plateau in combat sports. bravo sir.
This is a really good video. I like how Izzy uses these faints to gauge what the opponent is paying attention to the most at that moment as well as setting up his attacks, and be aware of his patterns and reactions. I gotta tell ya B, them colorful dots pinpointing the attacks are awesome. I'm wondering why I don't see em more often.
I also think that a long technical breakdown of an entire fight eg. Colby vs Masvidal would be great. I can’t find anything like that. Or maybe some older fights, as I don’t know about copyright. Or maybe you could create long form paid content or Patreon. I would buy it. I’m learning so much from you videos. MMA, jiu-jitsu classes I attended didn’t provide much understanding of the game. Mostly separate techniques and drills.
I really appreciate that man, and the full fight break down is a really good idea. I too have often been frustrated in classes where I feel like I'm learning a random technique from day to day. I find it much more useful to have an understanding of all the techniques first (even if it is just watching a video) and then go train.
GSP spoke about this once, overstimulation. Essentially you show his some many feints/looks/layers behind every attack, that it mentally fatigues you, causing your body to fatigue.
Your breakdowns are amazing! Just found you and now I am going to watch all of your videos! Thanks a bunch and I hope there is much more coming in the future 💯🥋💪🏼
oh and if you're taking requests: you could breakdown a feint that adesanya's been doing recently (fight vs. cannonier). it's like a half circling with his left hand then throwing a punch with his right hand very quickly after. i was trying to find that technique and that's how i found your video
Love your channel. I was hoping to see a channel with slow mo replays in MMA with analysis & breakdown of fighters techniques & strategies. Most channels & clips show the fights but moves are so fast you have to watch them 2-3 times. You deserve 1 M subs bro
This video helped me level up. Came back to see if u made more videos and u did. I’m subbing, hope u can teach me more. I didn’t even know these feints you showcased were even an option, and neither did my recipients in sparring
Great video, I feel you should do a part two breaking down the best range to use each feint because I got into trouble with feinting a kick from mid range and being punished when I first started. Don't want people trying this then getting confused when they get obliterated in sparring for this hahaha.
Bro i just happen to come across this video and rhis was very in depth. You broke it down to where im gonna attempt some of this stuff in sparring next time
I noticed something. Isnt it funny how he ran through Robert Whitaker. One of the most ruthless people in the ufc. But, Kelvin Gastelum with the height of 5’9 and 71 in reach gave this pure striker a challenge.
Awesome breakdown, dude. As a heads up, Adesanya made a video on his channel about his use of feints and attributed it to his gym, City Kickboxing. You can see guys like Hooker and some of the others making use of similar techniques but Stylebender is by far the most obvious and accomplished user of them. His breakdown isn't as comprehensive as yours though, but I guess I'm surprised he revealed any secrets at all, let alone fully dissecting them.
@@thomaskincaidmma Fron what I remember, you are pretty much bang on. The rear leg feints are like their signature move, I think, and he reckoned that City Kickboxing guys were the only ones doing it iirc
You can avoid being kicked by moving toward the forward leg and constantly circling around your opponent. That way it is difficult for your opponent to kick you. The reason why a guy is being kicked is because of the lack of lateral movements.
I like to throw like a left slap hook and then a teep, after I landed the teep a couple times I feint the teep (like izzy) throw a cross over the top and a lead body hook and it worked great so far
Colour Code makes the breakdown even more Beautiful
Thanks for appreciating bro your a fucking king
Izzy's head movement, footwork and defensive tactics
def gonna have to make one on that there's just so much to say about it that it couldn't all go into one video
Izzy really elevated Feinting. The first time I saw it I was like wat is he doing. 😅
he is light years beyond every one else it really took sitting down and studying him to understand what I was seeing
I would personally love to see more longer in-depth breakdowns like this or even longer ones.
I plan to be making a lot this year, let me know if you have any requests.
@@thomaskincaidmma Cory sandhagen
You probably have the best editing as an MMA analysis channel. Nice video!
thanks dude! I'm glad some one noticed because it is a pain staking process 😂
@@thomaskincaidmma Gotta give you respect for the hustle the analysis is fire!
Izzy’s game is hella tactical a lot of this stuff gets overlooked
I am about to begin MMA training and I believe your videos will help.
that's awesome man really glad that I can play a part in your journey. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything
deserves way more views. very cool way to visualize feints
One of the best fighting breakdown videos I have ever seen, keep up the good work
Thanks man that means a lot
Izzy is a true🐐masterful striker❤️.

Izzy himself published a video about his most used feints, he dont give a fawk

not necessarily you could circle the wrong way and actually be moving into a kick
