As powerful as he was in season 5, he had to be the one to contain all those powers since he was the one who technically stole then from the demonic wasteland. His invincibility was his unforseen punishment for not wanting to move on. In the end, he had to play along with what Phoebe had predicted long ago, that no matter what he tried, he will always be evil. Him becoming an avatar and then getting ultimately vanquished was in some ways his redemption.

I think the show was still really good just lost its greatness of the first 3 seasons. Then cole left and wasn’t the same. I’m glad they came up with the Chris and Wyatt storyline. Would have been really cool to keep Cole

The show started to gain back the same attraction than the first three seasons only when Billie and her sister arrived and it became a war between the charmed ones and them and the triad like it used to be when the first source was still alive .. What made the show interesting at the start was that we had the most powerfull witches that ever existed and that there was a bounty on their head from the underworld targets that needed absolutly to be destoryed over anything else but all of a sudden we had one ghas strong as them if not more called Wyatt who the magic world wanted dead and the underworld wanted in their ranks to destroy the charmed ones easy and then we got two sisters who were as strong and powerfull as the charmed ones reunited . At the end the charmed ones looked more like the helpless ones up to the point that they had to use the Hallow to be able to win . something they would have never done in the past . so who won at the end ? the Hallow not the power of three . since the power of two was able to keep up with them
