Putrid avatar is litereally easier regular avatar! He only spreads scarlet rot infront of him. If your close to him and roll to either side youll avoid the scarlet rot entirely! So just dont run away! Trust me the scarlet rot wont even touch you! Also its interesting how your gonna but Deathbirds above Death Right Birds considering theyre the same exept without big wings and without Phase 2. Just interesting to me. Tho its your list not mine. So far the list seems about right tho i feel like The Duelist should have been lower considering how damm quick they die no matter if you have a light build or heavy build. Tho just from presentation they are pretty sick especially how they throw the cape away and reveal their Muscular body making you expect this to be a chalange but overall they are just very slow, predictable and they even can be Backstabed so theyll be dead in under a minute. That one randomly appearing in the opening you hide in one of the hero graves while the horse chariot is forcing you to stay in there. Scared the shit out of me
i never ran away from the putrid avatars, if you stay super close melee range and just roll underneath them when they jump you should be fine, because the rot they spread is a bit further away from them (at least it worked that way for me), doesnt change the fact theres way too many of them lmao
Why do that with a boss you don't care about the boss is so unfun there's no reason to waist your time learning him when you can just cheese him by hit and running
In my first run, I didn't know about the torch. So I did the 3 invisible converted snow field assassins by memorizing the timing and Parrying them when they tried to grab me. Also the first encounter, just looking at footsteps and Parrying. It was quite lengthy and boring. At least I learned the timing after the 3rd attempt.
The mimic boss also suffers if you have too many options eqipped- I met it with 2 curve swords, a shield, claws, and 7 spells equipped. The mimic did not cope well at all
Deathrite bird is genuinely terrible, it does stupid damage, switches up attacking fast and slowly, and that fire it spreads literally feels like it follows you, it’s such an annoying fight and just feels like it was designed to be as annoying as possible
Fuck the Death Rite Bird. That boss should be good, it really should. But there are some really bad issues with it, starting with these AOEs. They are some of the most bullshit moves I have ever witnessed. Between the after effect spreading fire under his feet doing weird shit, the cross mega explosion doing insane damage even with the meager lingering flames on the ground, one shot if you're on horseback because you can't jump over it and it's a guaranteed fall from your horse, meaning you take damage multiple times. Terrain problems fucking with its AI, especially in mountain tops. And the fucking camera. Do not ever lock on their head it'd a guaranteed headache. This boss should be good, it has a nightmarish design, a varied moveset with some tricky moves, but there are so many issues plaguing the death rite variant I can't ever like them.
A little over a minute in and we're already off to a rough start. Being "forced to run away" from Putrid Avatars? I hope the whole list isn't like this. 😂
Half of the people complaining about this game make it worse for themselves with their play style. There's definitely room to criticize, but I'm so tired of "this enemy sucks because I can't steamroll it with my greatswords". This game is so flexible and it's more fun when you try new things. Every boss has a weakness, just not the same weakness. Bleed comes closest to a universal weakness, but the final bosses are immune so it's not a win button.
I don't know why but i love this dragon bosses. I can fight them whole day and just have fun. There is something very... classy about knight fighting dragon on horseback.
Bruh.. my first time encountering the snail i died countless times trying to kill the summon until later accidentally hitting the snail after getting my ass rammed in the corner
If there isn't one already, there really needs to be a mod that replaces the Nightriders boss music with the LOTR Nazgul theme like you've got in your video :)
The Death Rite Birds feel insulting when they peck at you. They do this pest attack that somehow takes half your vigor and then you feel like you just got disrespected at a party.
Night's Cavalry and Black Knives are my favourite reused bosses, for lore reasons, and the fact you can wipe out both orders/squads and obtint vengeance for Godwyn.
for putrid avatar stay right next to him and when he does his scarlet rot ground pound dodge to his side and whack away, he only does the aoe to his front.
I discovered that Glintblade/Greatblade Phalanx works against the invisible black knife, it seems to track movement not lock on, so it just staggerlocks the boss lmao
Valiant Gargoyles are absolutely awful. I personally didn’t use summons the whole game, and that was one time I should’ve. By yourself its a dreadful fight, they’re both very aggressive and have hard hitting combos that are now aided by poison AOE spam. Definitely my least favorite fight in the game and i probably died more times than every other mandatory boss.
The magma wyrm in Concecrated Snowfield is actually a war hero of the war with the giants which is very close to the snowfield. He probably ate a dragon heart and became one
I love this game overall but i just realized that i absolutely hate like 70% of all of the bosses in the game. I didn‘t even try to get through all the dungeons at some point because i was so tired of the terrible bosses, i‘d rather play the chalice dungeons all over again. Also the godskin duo is literally my least favorite boss in any game ever like holy shit
Yeah, the bossfight in elden ring are better than ds1 and ds2, but a little bit worse than Demons souls due to the terrible balance and lack of being original, and considerable worse than sekiro, bloodborne and ds3 They are, Well, soo fu***** unbalanced like, in the previous from games, you could have just 25 vigor and don't be oneshoted, but in this Game once you pass morgott, even with 40 vigor you can be oneshoted and is like, ok ? And Well, the time that you have to punish the Boss after his attack is soo short even if he do a combos with more than 5 attacks
@@jajasking9652 i actually love the main bosses to death (except for godskin duo, elden beast and red wolf, they can fuck off). I think just based on the main story bosses and areas, this might be the best from soft game ever. Where i start to see a lot of issues however is with the open world stuff. At some point i just hated exploring because i was so fucking tired of running into repeated bosses that i had already fought like 10 times before and they weren‘t even good to begin with (although there are a few exceptions when it comes to mini bosses, just not that many). I honestly don‘t mind how much damage the late game bosses dish out
an argument for a lot of the early game bosses being just regular enemies maybe with buffed health and attack power is that it gives you a change to solo them out and learn their attacks before you meet hordes of them later. on a first play though each boss helps the player learn even the dragon bosses (though there are to many dragons with the exact same move set) teach you the basics of each boss and all you need to adapt for is their new variant attacks. game design wise I appreciate a lot of the bosses iterating on each other making each new version harder or training but things like the copy of godrick just takes away form the game (to be honest I didn't even find godefroy or whatever his name is on the first play though so it meant a lot when I got through storm veil a second time).
Dunno if someone else mentionned it, but for the Magma Wyrms, lorewise they are what people who abuse dragon communion turn to, explains why they're in places they shouldn't be able to access
the magma wyrm in caelid is probably due to proximity to the cathedral of dragon communion, and theodorix was a troll that fought the fire giants iirc so bring near the mountains makes at least some sense
If you have trouble with the watchdogs gank or with multiple golems, use the crystal darts. Use enough and you will cause the one to beserk and attack the other
That knight at the spirit caller snail was far more aggressive on me. On top of that, you can’t just simply kill the knight. This led to the snail being my worst boss not just in Elden Ring, but in all of Soulsbourne.
I never actually fought the invisible version of the assassin but i did have to fight the boss in a tight friggin arena which was a pain in and off itself.
Seems like I have a way more negative opinion about this game's bosses than you have, which is bizarre because it was the opposite for Nioh. I just think many of them are tedious and not really interesting, and I hate the duo fights. Also I just dislike the final areas in general. @@magicat7356 MonkaS
I find the ice watchdog/cat variant more annoying to fight, not sure if it's because the place you fight them or if they have slight buffs to make them seem more annoying
Probably both tbh
(Also i hate it how we cant get the Snakeless version of their helmet. The regular ones dont have em yet they still drop ones with snakes and you cant even alter them to be snakeless. So just for that id personaly but them atleast bellow Death right birds lol.)
Lanseaxx’s spawn trigger seems to be bugged, requiring resting at the grace to trigger his spawn if you die
I think he just spawns at night
Thats because you alway respawn in the morning, which can make night boss very tedious.

Patches was in sekiro. He was the merchant that asks you for sen for info then wares. He can also be seen at hirata estate. His coat is covered in? Well. Patches.
anayama also wears an eyepatch lol
Dude, I just finished watching you're other souls ranking video, like a gift from the gods 🙏

Honestly cemetery shade terrifies me whenever I see it. It’s not a hard fight but it’s straight out of my literal worst nightmares, from the green aura to the soulless eyes. Scary stuff
That one randomly appearing in the opening you hide in one of the hero graves while the horse chariot is forcing you to stay in there. Scared the shit out of me
@@combofixed meeeeee too my friends got to hear me scream
i never ran away from the putrid avatars, if you stay super close melee range and just roll underneath them when they jump you should be fine, because the rot they spread is a bit further away from them (at least it worked that way for me), doesnt change the fact theres way too many of them lmao
That has literally never worked for me
Why do that with a boss you don't care about the boss is so unfun there's no reason to waist your time learning him when you can just cheese him by hit and running
@@hahaalexasendthistorodrick Strafe to the left as soon as it winds up, then dodge the landing.
@@2m7b5 I go to the right and it works for me, then I run behind it and get some free hits
I honestly forgot cemetery shade existed
15:20 Couple more duos you missed:
- Crucible Knight Duo
- Watchdog statue duo
I'm aware of them, didn't miss
grafted scion being in the chapel of anticipation makes sense because it's right next to stormveil castle
Quick tip for anyone struggling with the invisible black knife assassin. Use radahns duel sword skill in the centre of the room. It works really well
How tf did you survive that hit from soldier of godrick?? I have 99 vigor and he one shots me!!
16:17 I honestly thought it was more like gaping dragon’s random walk where his whole body becomes a hitbox
Agreeeeed fuck that boss. The one in the consecrated snowfields is awful. The aoe is bullshit
The shock factor though with the grafted scion is good for a boss
Bruh.. my first time encountering the snail i died countless times trying to kill the summon until later accidentally hitting the snail after getting my ass rammed in the corner
If there isn't one already, there really needs to be a mod that replaces the Nightriders boss music with the LOTR Nazgul theme like you've got in your video :)
The Night's Cavalry should have been called the Night Knight's and I will hear nothing to the contrary on this matter.
i really like erdtree avatars, only annoying move is the projectile one but theyre pretty easy and always fun to fight
I guess your opinion of Astel went up considerably and that makes me happy cause that’s one of my favorite bosses
17:40 love the music choice ;)
for putrid avatar stay right next to him and when he does his scarlet rot ground pound dodge to his side and whack away, he only does the aoe to his front.
DeModcracy gonna be upset that youre stealing food off his plate lmao
I discovered that Glintblade/Greatblade Phalanx works against the invisible black knife, it seems to track movement not lock on, so it just staggerlocks the boss lmao
2:42 the emphasis on the f*** had me dead
23:15 - I'm pretty sure this one isn't just night. I definitely remember fighting him the 2nd time during the day.
I want the scarlot rot version of crystalian sorceries that the Putrid Crystalians have. Imagine that.
4:30 use a spirit summon they can always track black knifes
Beast of farum azula was a good idea, in endgame you're like oh that's where he came from
Babe wake up, new Magicat video just dropped
I've literally only been watching your cuphead vids so this is the first time I heard your voice.
I do hope to see morgott at number 1 in the part 2 video
All the names Are George RR Martins initials!!!!!! How am I just knowing this now. Holy Jesus
There’s a note about how to make the Invisible Black Night Assassin visible using the torch.
Yeah, the bossfight in elden ring are better than ds1 and ds2, but a little bit worse than Demons souls due to the terrible balance and lack of being original, and considerable worse than sekiro, bloodborne and ds3
They are, Well, soo fu***** unbalanced like, in the previous from games, you could have just 25 vigor and don't be oneshoted, but in this Game once you pass morgott, even with 40 vigor you can be oneshoted and is like, ok ?
I honestly don‘t mind how much damage the late game bosses dish out
What was the song used for Night Cavalry section? I'm guessing it's Nazgul's theme or a ringwraith theme or something lol
an argument for a lot of the early game bosses being just regular enemies maybe with buffed health and attack power is that it gives you a change to solo them out and learn their attacks before you meet hordes of them later. on a first play though each boss helps the player learn even the dragon bosses (though there are to many dragons with the exact same move set) teach you the basics of each boss and all you need to adapt for is their new variant attacks. game design wise I appreciate a lot of the bosses iterating on each other making each new version harder or training but things like the copy of godrick just takes away form the game (to be honest I didn't even find godefroy or whatever his name is on the first play though so it meant a lot when I got through storm veil a second time).
People be like "This isn't even a boss this is a regular enemy" and then get two shot by a crucible knight
This is me from the year 2023 and now we have a duo Black Blade Kindred fight, you are welcome
I died to the spiritcaller snail on my first attempt because how was I supposed to know I had to kill an INVISIBLE SNAIL.
There are definitely some amazing bosses as well here and there though, with Morgott being my favorite.
It’s all opinion boss fights if you like them or not at the end of the day
@@Omar8181 yeah ofc, it was interesting seeing Magicat's opinion on each boss
@@omegazx7236 oh sorry didn’t want to sound like a bitch but I can see where you come from and I really like magicats take on most soulsborne bosses and elden ring as well not all though like Gwynn being a bad boss I get where he comes from and I can see why it’s frustrating to him and think he got more hate there then he should but the lore was so good and music so I kind of thought it was a decent fight but a bit overrated in the end for gameplay wise
@@omegazx7236 but I love his takes on elden ring a lot probably his best takes in the channel
@@omegazx7236 I think though cytonx has the best takes on boss fights usually atleast
