Totally unbiased review. Not everyone needs a sports bike. What I see in this bike is versatility. Ticks all the criteria for a city commuter, highway cruiser and with a lot of useful functionality. This rivals FZ 25 and not even Gixxer 250. When people can buy FZ 25 and have no complaints about top end this comes as a second better alternative.

Very nice & genuine review. Many thanks for sharing an honest review. After owning & riding the Honda CB300F for 4 months now, I can relate with each & every word that you have mentioned. I was fortunate enough to get a 63K discount on the on-road price of Rs 2,77,881/-. I paid Rs 2,27,881/- initially for a 50K discount on the on-road price and on top of that got a refund of Rs 13,000/-. So on-road price of this bike for me was Rs 2,14,881/-
I think the good old CBR250R's performance, refinement and braking was far superior than this confused product. And CBR250R came to India in 2012.... Imagine that !

Honda's lack of commitment is the biggest worry for me...I bought a bike which was Unicorn in many disguise, the bike, built quality and reliability I have no doubt but, they are swift in discontinuing products.They are good for Activas only The bike has too much plastic that's another problem, they last long if taken care, and during the long term ownership they discontinue the bike and parts sourcing is a pain in the arse, m suffering but still love my bike

Honda ads and teasers set the expectations going, so they themselves are to blame. Actually, the bike enthusiasts in India are looking at Honda launching some of their International models in India, and Honda has always been disappointing them with an insipid India model like the Honda Navi when everybody was expecting the PCX 125. Many Honda models have been launched, they have failed and they have disappeared. Whoever is internally decided what is the right model for India, is getting it wrong for Honda. If the Honda loving enthusiasts are looking for CRF and Forza, what's wrong in that? There is a need for such models in India and the time is ripe for that, before the electric era sets in. Honda needs to listen and come up to meet expectations. Please don't come up with India only models but Honda can certainly tweak International models to meet India needs such as high ground clearance, lower seat height, suspension, strong headlights, etc. Review is good.

Bhai I feel that at the price of the bike, Dominar is a better pick any day. It has better power, ready accessories first and third party. Better fuel efficiency(I'm getting 30-32kmpl on highway with Dominar UG). And the power is fantastic. It also has dual channel ABS. The only thing it lacks is traction control, but I think most people won't be bothered by that. I cruise at 100-120 no problem. Just my opinion.
@@Vikas_Kollu yes. But I have ridden almost every Honda bike commonly available (no superbikes), and while they are good, they are not worth the cons to me or most people. The Dominar UG engine past 5-6k rpm is completely smooth.

That is definitely missing in pulsar....pulsar is like go finish your work and come back... Cbr feels more connected.. I said all these from biker pov not as daily commuter. Cbr never gave trouble to me.. Not even once...even I go for non stop long rides But on Pulsar I have very bad experiences , same with my frds. So I trust Honda engines more than any.. True bike enthusiast know what I mean..

I think 300f was needed as and here is why? - Honda had only 300r now which in spite of being a gem of a bike is not selling and honda wanted a bite of the cake in the segment as well. - Here are 5 things why mass majority stayed Way from 300r 1- Low milage 2-Small tank 3-High price 4-Pillion space 5-Ground cleance And all above 5 issues are smartly addressed in 300f -Now why a new engine? Had honda given 300r engine at least we indian customers would have felt cheated and honda could not keep the 300r on shelfs on high price. Summary 😀 I think this is Jugaad (workaround) by honda to remain in the segment with some success 🙌
They wanted to undercut the BMW. But big quality difference is there. Even between the CB 300R and BMW G310R. The truth is Vitpilen destroys everything in the 250 class. And BMW is the most premium proposition. CB 300F is decent bike. But at 1.8 L ex showroom it would have given competition to everyone. 2.2 L it is worse than every other performance bike. Less Premium for the big bike buyer. They saw what everyone did, came in late and still lost. R15 might beat it in long race 💀 But since it is light af I think it's good for the first time buyer 💀

I cannot believe Honda is giving us this bike. The CB300R is a phenomenal machine, almost a perfect bike besides its steep price. And now another CB300 with an F that stands for 'Fail' 25bhp in a 293cc engine with vibrations peaking from around 7k rpm. Pricing it at 2.3lakhs. The Gixxer 250 makes more sense. This is so disappointing

I test rode Vstorm. I need to keep in redline to get it going with pillion. till 9k rpm there is no fun. Even after 9k rpm there is no big boost in performance. Stop reading the specs too much. That one ps extra power is nothing. Test ride this bike, if you dont find it better than gixxer come and slap me.
I had drive test both of them, for comfort and faster acceleration without thinking i go for Cb 300f, But if you are low on budget, gixxer is also a great bike

This is actually a really good bike, for practical purposes. But complaint is the price and for same the looks, (d400 & d250 are identical!). D400 seems good for high speeds but it's fuel economy is very low. This has dual channel abs and traction control. Honda has made a good bike, seeing the numbers it's very similar to unicorn 150 cc. Reason: it's very tractable at lower speeds. It's own uncle cb350 seems a better deal. This should have been launched as an adv similar to 200x as in 300x. This is a great soft touring machine. But honda has to reconsider the price and make is competitive even for a premium segment. I don't know if honda doesn't like to give powerful bikes for the masses in India, is there a reason ? Safety concern ?

No way bulu bhai, very disappointed with the pricing vs the tech used..it would have been good if it was launched thriugh regular honda showroom and price at around 1.80lacs around. Else a rally version with this price was justified i feel.
My bro bought hornet 2.0 1 year ago... Worst services by honda from day1 too till today... 1st problem in brand new bike within 5-6 days bike automatically got off . So he visited service center so many times but problem not resolve the problem and finally after a month thy change injector from display bike and problem got solved.

Honda may be offering good discounts and all on their product ranges, but their after sales spare-parts service has gone down in to gutter. It takes months and months of time to get spare parts for repairs from Honda. My bike CBR-250r is in the garage from the past 6 months, and yet the part is to be delivered to the service centre to fix. Regarding it i drop the mail to the area manager, escalating the issue but one of the poorest support i received from them. One may argue that CBR is discontinued because of which i may be facing this issue, but hold on. Next to my bike in the service centre, is standing CB300r from the past 4 months whose handle bar is damaged and Honda is yet to send the part to get it fixed. And above all this things, the service and the repair done by the Authorised service centre is the worst. No doubt alot of riders have switched to Kawasaki and other brands to avoid this kind of treatment from Honda.

There is a world of difference between gixxer and this bike, This will deliver power in much better way where as in gixxer you should keep revving.

D400 seems good for high speeds but it's fuel economy is very low. This has dual channel abs and traction control. Honda has made a good bike, seeing the numbers it's very similar to unicorn 150 cc. Reason: it's very tractable at lower speeds. It's own uncle cb350 seems a better deal. This should have been launched as an adv similar to 200x as in 300x. This is a great soft touring machine. But honda has to reconsider the price and make is competitive even for a premium segment. I don't know if honda doesn't like to give powerful bikes for the masses in India, is there a reason ? Safety concern ?
They slashed the price by 50k for this month which makes it most value for money bike in the country. Excellent value at 1.75 lakh

No way bulu bhai, very disappointed with the pricing vs the tech used..it would have been good if it was launched thriugh regular honda showroom and price at around 1.80lacs around. Else a rally version with this price was justified i feel.

1st problem in brand new bike within 5-6 days bike automatically got off .
So he visited service center so many times but problem not resolve the problem and finally after a month thy change injector from display bike and problem got solved.

The engineering of honda is miles ahead than any other two wheeler manufacturer.
Honda engineering WAS good in the early days. Not anymore. This engine els stressed after 70kph and vibrates at the top end.

Honda may be offering good discounts and all on their product ranges, but their after sales spare-parts service has gone down in to gutter.
It takes months and months of time to get spare parts for repairs from Honda.
My bike CBR-250r is in the garage from the past 6 months, and yet the part is to be delivered to the service centre to fix.
Regarding it i drop the mail to the area manager, escalating the issue but one of the poorest support i received from them.
One may argue that CBR is discontinued because of which i may be facing this issue, but hold on.
Next to my bike in the service centre, is standing CB300r from the past 4 months whose handle bar is damaged and Honda is yet to send the part to get it fixed.
And above all this things, the service and the repair done by the Authorised service centre is the worst.
No doubt alot of riders have switched to Kawasaki and other brands to avoid this kind of treatment from Honda.

Of service centre kaam,aur per service cost zada but end of the day ye sab commuter hi hai, jaise hiness and cb300 isme log per service mai cost zada expect nahi karte hai.Below 500cc normal showroom me available hota to acha hota.

Neither. Would recommend the Gixxer 250. Cheaper and better value for money. The engine is a great tourer as well. You'll cruise at 100-110 all day.
Cb350 is product that honda has dared to challenge mighty RE. It's definelty proper upgrade to boring yet most sought after RE bikes
