BRO I swear I was just working out and thus had been happening for a while so I looked it up and this popped up I watched it tried it and it worked instantly thankyou sooo much you just earned a permanent subscriber I can finally workout without any pain grinding or clicking thankyou and keep on posting I love this content
I recorded myself for the first time today doing pullups... Never realized I was doing them wrong. I have monster upper traps apparently, and they've been doing all the work. I hate scap ups because they kind of hurt. I have something major to improve but not quite sure what
I try so hard to do a dead hang and I get these weird pinching pain in the top of my shoulder... no idea what it is and I've never had a shoulder injury. It's so frustrating and discouraging and I feel like it's hindering my progress.
Hi doc, is it necessary to get a surgery if im a 22 Male whos been dealing with rotator cuff pain and weakness during 1 year? thanks, im already seeing an specialist, but he told be that i should do physiotherapy first and if i still haev problems then get surgery
I would advise you to do some strengthtening exercises like in this video and some general shoulder strenghtening (retractions, external rotations...). I am no doctor, but I can tell you from my own experience that you can have a lot of pain just because of the weakness, especially if you sit at the computer a lot and don't do much physical activity. Sometimes a simple solution can be really effective, so start light and build up the strenght gradually and the pain may just go away, like in my case.
Thank you for this video! I find the lower portion (elevated scaps) of the scap pullup uncomfortable on my shoulders however. Any suggestions on why this might be or how to fix that? Thanks!
Thanks for the video I get pinching at the back of my left shoulder at the active hang position but when I change the grip to palms facing me The pain goes away My question is how can I transition from palm facing in to facing out?
Try to maybe release your serrated anterior. You might have a lack of external rotation,,, I would also say active hands are demanding in the first place and always regress so use a band
@@physiorehab The reason why I ask, is because I have rotator cuff. I was sent to physical therapy for rotator cuff pain and the surgeon thought that I needed to work on posture. So, at physical therapy, my therapist had me doing the lat pull down bar with shoulder retraction. So, every time I had an appointment I would complain of being in pain and I would point where and she would say that’s not your shoulder, it’s your rhomboids and traps. So, I finally have quit going because it wasn’t helping my shoulder and it was making my rhomboids and traps hurt. Since I left physical therapy back in March, I have felt so much better in the rhomboids and traps and don’t have any spasms like I was having. I still have major pain in the rotator cuff. I’m not going back to that therapist though.
Great video. This speaks to me. I sometimes get neck tightness after training. Thought it was from my dips- not so. I'll work on this. Thanks! 64 year old doing pull-ups: ruclips.net/video/lo6MH12clSM/видео.html
I've been struggling with neck pain after pull ups for a while. This scapula pull up technique seems like a great way to fix that.
Thank you, David Beckham
😂
Omg I didn't see it 😂😂
They’re twins it’s crazy
Loooool
Lol. Australian David Beckham
You focusing on the right shoulder makes me wonder how you know that that’s where my injury is…. Thank youuuuuuu

Great stuff!
I see this all the time, one of the MOST important que is also ROTATING or screwing your arm inwards when you do the scapula pull
You mean outwards?
@@physiorehab yes, sorry
That's a great tip!
Rotating outwards tip really helped. Thx.
Thanks great vid keep em coming!
Will do!
Thanks for the tips on scapula pull ups. I've noticed my form was off, and this will definitely help me improve.
Thank you Bandit Heeler 🌀💙
I really struggle finding my movement and the scapulas on the pullup
Thanks for the video, really helpful
Interesting. It's the exact same movement one needs to train in traditional archery. I've always described it as 'rolling' the shoulder.
Great video thanks really great ideas
Thanks for the great tutorial. ❤️
You’re welcome
Thank you Doctor
You’re welcome. Physio not doctor though 😉

Thank you jawoodle
Could weak lower trapezius be the cause of that wrong scapula movement?
Could be!

Maybe something to get a good physio to assess
could this help winged scapula or help stable the shoulders? :)
Only pull the blades down or also together?
hope this will fix my upper neck pain
So do I! 😄
Any idea why I feel my front delt working instead of my back?

Yep you need to fully exhaust the rehab. Have a look at my program to guide you:

Might have a mobility issue there

Is that exercise good for rotator cuff pain?
It will help a bit have a look at the ‘top 4 rotator cuff’ video

How many times a week?
3, depending on your conditioning
Am I supposed to feel a sharp pain in my shoulder? 😅
Nope!
That movement hurst my right side shoulder or upper back i don't know. Why is that?
Hard to say without more info!

I’m convinced pull-ups are a scam. It always hurts my shoulder despite how many form videos I watch
