how am i supposed to measure any of these things as an average person? a more direct way to judge yourself would probably be if whether or not you look old
But looking old is mostly about wrinkles. I don't think the body translates every parameter of age into wrinkles in the skin. Also, how the skin looks can be altered with cosmetic products and surgeries. But that doesn't make one any younger on the inside. Even if we can't measure them, implement everything that lowers those hallmarks of aging as much as possible. It is never quite enough so don't worry about doing more than you need to do.
I appreciate how you grow with the changing of data…but your videos of the last several months have been circling a Balanced diet. By that I mean, not Keto, not Paleo, not vegan or vegetarian…just balanced, eat healthy, fast and exercise, and don’t consume processed sugar and processed foods. It’s a clear message that was there all the time through all these freaking fads.
I break my fast after working out at roughly 10am and have a pea protein shake and a plain rice cake. Does that count as my fasting break meal or should I still have another small meal an hour or so later as my fast break meal? Any insight is appreciated;
@@cherryl225 The amount and type of nutrients matters. For example coffee doesn't break a fast as it has no calories. The same with teas. Lemon juice has very little macronutrients, it should not matter. Then there is the matter about how quickly fasting benefits restart, like autophagy. If you eat very little after you break your fast then autophagy will start faster since there is still a lack of resources.
Sooooo sometimes you do toot your own horn ? That's why you felt the need to make that distinction. Could you let us know in the future when you going to do that. Thanks Keepemcoming
It's in each of our unique DNA sequences in our telomeres. We can do lifestyle changes but they don't do much. It's how your parents & ancestors ate & lived. It's balance & that is key. Everything in nature is about balance. It's not one thing or another thing... There is a lot of variables & grey areas in life.
@@sirij8784 yeah coz the 21-year-olds are desperate to have sex, and they see an older woman as a potential target... it's not like they would ever want a relationship with you... lol
No knock on Thomas because I think his research is great and what he provides the public but over exercising, a lot of endurance which Thomas does regularly ages you. If you do more than 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week there is no added benefit. People run themselves into the ground because they think more is better. Its really not. Hard to get the calories in daily when you over exercise as well, checks and balances.
Also, I forget who said it but as time goes on, you will need to decide b/w your face or your body. As you have lower body fat % you tend to look older in face and have wrinkles.
On the topic of aging, I was inspired to take my own journey from podcasts of Dr. David Sinclair who is a world-renounced Biologist of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School: *My NAD+ experience* Some quick background: NAD+ is is a form of vitamin B3 and naturally produced naturally in the body either by fasting or by exercising. NAD+ helps maintain cellular health against everyday stressors, it improves cellular function and metabolism, and a lot more. Wtf does this have to do with TELEMERES? NAD+ is required for functioning of the sirtuin proteins that help maintain the length of telomeres! Here’s my personal experience taking it for 18+ months. I know my evidence might be just anecdotal, but I've been taking a precursor to NAD+ called Nicotinamide Riboside at a 300mg daily dose orally for 3 months (I started May 9th 2020 and these were my benefits 3 months later and onwards). My current biological age is 20 years old but after the 3 month period when I started I was 19. Here's my timeline so far in terms of benefits: Since my start, it took my body 2 and a half weeks to adapt to the change and feel any benefits but then I woke up one day roughly 2 weeks later and had plenty of energy. This baffled me since that night I only got 5 hours of sleep. With all of this energy, I wasn't hyper but more clearer-minded and restful. I would go as far as to say I felt like I had the same energy as I did when I was 12. After those 2 and a half weeks, the next big change for me was constantly dreaming. For 9 straight days, I had at least 2 dreams per night which was unheard of for me and I was low key excited for what would happen next. During this time, I noticed how after lunchtime around midday, I didn't have a drop in energy. Previously, I had attended school and as soon as my lunch break had ended and I made it to the next period, I used to get a wave of lethargy and often dozed off to sleep for a quick power nap. What happened next really changed me. Due to my sleep schedule fixing itself gradually, my circadian rhythm was fixing itself and I had begun to feel tired earlier which took me by surprise. Following this abundant change, about a week later I noticed that I would watch Netflix shows and RUclips in a whole different way. Before this experiment for myself, I would most of the time watch a show and remember some details unless something drastic happened in what I was watching or doing in general but something changed. My memory of recollecting what had happened was so much better as now I wouldn't just remember minor details but I would be able to remember the characters names even a couple months after watching the show. In my day-to-day life, my improved memory helped me remember orders I would write down since I'm the "Uber Eats" for the family, driving to and from restaurants and picking up food for us. I know this is all anecdotal evidence and it's not concrete evidence but these have been the benefits 18 months into taking this NAD+ booster as supplementation. Since the start, these benefits felt like they have compounded as I feel incredible! Anyways, I’ve been taking this supplement which is a form of vitamin B3 (Nicotinamide Riboside: NR) ever since and it’s been well over a year and a half nonstop and I have no long term side effects. Feel free to ask me any questions at all about anything I mentioned or if you’re curious about anything! Since the start, these benefits felt like they have compounded as I feel incredible! Thanks for reading the script for my RUclips comment Ted Talk :)

Thomas looks much better off of Keto...
#1 reason- Time
how am i supposed to measure any of these things as an average person?
a more direct way to judge yourself would probably be if whether or not you look old
But looking old is mostly about wrinkles.
Anyone savvy in biology knows that mitochondria are not the powerhouse of the cell. Thats an 8th grade biology understanding of energy production.

I break my fast after working out at roughly 10am and have a pea protein shake and a plain rice cake. Does that count as my fasting break meal or should I still have another small meal an hour or so later as my fast break meal? Any insight is appreciated;
Protein definitely breaks a fast, as in the more special benefits like autophagy stop, plus mTOR and insulin are stimulated.
if you eat, the fast is broken. doesnt matter what you eat, nor does amount
Medbeds exist and soon will be available to the public.

Chronological age is not medical age.
Sleep. 8 hrs every night.
It's genes so.. I've seen people who are health nuts & they look their age.

I kept getting proofed at age 40.
Me too, but that's a good thing
grow a beard thats what I did. but you want to look young as long as you can. I'm 40 and still get hit on by 21 year olds. I love it haha

Thomas you're the only keto guy who looks late 40s.
how old is he really?
@@tnt01 He is 34 years old and looks right for his age.
@@barchetta575m he looks great, but definitley older.
Why do you look all old and stuff?
I'm 70 and look like I am 50

On the topic of aging, I was inspired to take my own journey from podcasts of Dr. David Sinclair who is a world-renounced Biologist of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School:
*My NAD+ experience*
Some quick background: NAD+ is is a form of vitamin B3 and naturally produced naturally in the body either by fasting or by exercising.
Here's my timeline so far in terms of benefits:
Since my start, it took my body 2 and a half weeks to adapt to the change and feel any benefits but then I woke up one day roughly 2 weeks later and had plenty of energy.
Wish u were 70 and writing about this. Being 20, U haven't experienced aging yet!
You were 19 when you started? Why would you even be thinking about again at 19-20 🙂 NAC is beneficial but you don't want to overdo it, save all that for when you are 35+ 😉
