@@Graphicious Hey Cristi. I currently use Canva for my thumbnails and the limited graphics that I do for my videos. If I were to start to learn a more powerful graphics editor, which one would you recommend?
@@TradersLanding I have used Xara Designer Pro X for many years. Recently, I'm disappointed in it, they have split it into two products, sold by two different companies and it's increasingly buggy and an advertising mess. I'm digging deep into Affinity Designer. I recommend that one. You can do pretty much anything with it that you can in Adobe Illustrator. And it costs like $50... and if you wait, you can get it cheaper. They usually do Black Friday deals or when they launch new versions. It was $25 in the spring. That is a one-time cost, free updates until the next major version. I highly recommend it. I've started creating some tutorials for Affinity but I want to get really good at it before I do more.
@@Graphicious Thank you. My channel is only 3 months old, I didn’t have the watch hours until 2 days ago. Analytics updated this morning which allowed me to apply.
@@Graphicious Hahah. Yup. Most likely you won’t understand my content as it is super specific. But from a technical aspect, and if you have the time, maybe you can give it a once over. There could be something in there that inspires a video subject for you.
I watched a bit, I have to say it's beyond my area of expertise. What I would do is provide a little context at the beginning of each video, as to what trading platform you are using, etc. maybe some sample data... but that's just coming from me with zero knowledge of what's going on. I saw the beacon you used! :) In any case, this is very fast growth, monetized in 3 months is great! I wish there was a secret I could apply to my channel. It's SLOOOOWLY growing, just passed 3.900 today...
Hello Chris. I loved this video, thank you very much for sharing. Can you please do the tutorial for showing the arrow head while the animation is taking place. Thanks.
Very cool lesson! Thanks a lot! The only thing I would change in this idea is that I would make the shadow arrow a little smaller in size. In my opinion, that would be more realistic.
Great tip! It depends on each artist's preferences. This was just to show how it could be done but of course, when you do it you can tweak anything you like.
Oh man, getting that shadow properly shaped and lined up was a chore, but I got something that looks good. Added a blur to the shadow and BAM! It looks great. What a fabulous tutorial. Thank you!
I agree, it is a little fiddly to get that right, largely because of the angle. But I’m glad it finally worked out! Thanks for watching and for your feedback.
@@Graphicious I can see this being used for a before/after scenario for businesses. Would have to figure a few things out, but I think there's a possibility.
@akalli I guess, if you replace the map image with something else, anything can be done. Happy to discuss it further if you need help. Did you know I have a Facebook group where I provide help? cotovan.com/group
Great tutorial. I love the way you think! FYI, by default, when you group, the group is made the size of the canvas or the visible bounds of all of the media being grouped, whichever is smaller. In your case, when you grouped with the map, the group was made the size of the canvas since that was smaller. Everything outside of that is cropped by the group so the map is cut off at the canvas bounds. You can however resize your group. In your case, you wanted to have the map cover the canvas during your 3d rotations, so it may help to make your group the size of the content. So once grouped, you can right-click on the group and choose Resize Group->Visible Size. In this case it sizes the group to include the entire map. That may help you get the look you want in the end without having to fuss as much to be sure the map covers the entire canvas. You likely already know this, but if not, hopefully it will be handy to know at some point.
Thank you for your comment, I know about resizing to the content size but I find that in Camtasia, that is often hit or miss... mostly miss. I have several groups when there's animation involved and Camtasia doesn't account for the animated parts, so the group will not expand to fill the whole area required by the objects when they move. It's quite idiotic, but that's why I generally choose to just expand groups to the canvas size and that at least works 100% of the time and guarantees that objects appear in the visible area at all times. Things get even crazier when you have groups within groups. That's when it gets really tricky to get content to fit and fill and be visible. I hope they improve this groups feature in future versions because as powerful as it is, it's also quite unpredictable and often unreliable.
@@Graphicious Camtasia uses the size at the playhead time when sizing a group to fit. So animations that expand the needed size at other points in time are clipped. Would you want it to scan the maximum size needed to contain all of the media for the duration of the group instead?
Well done Cristi. Beautiful animation. A lot of video's are about travelling. You now can visualize your own journey. I am also interested in editing the top of the arrow, like you mentioned in your video. Incredible to see, what you can do with relatively simple software like Camtasia. Thank you so much! Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you so much! I will try to make a follow-up video with the arrow pointer. If you can't wait, you can animate it using the procedure demonstrated in this video: ruclips.net/video/-ct_ogq4thg/видео.html
Thank you! They certainly could add some more complex animation options to allow us to make these, but I think it's beyond the scope of what they want Camtasia to be.
@Cristi Cotovan, thank you, if it is not too much to ask, would you please show a short video how you animate the arrowhead growing from the BEGINNING of the path ??
@Cristi, yes, this is great tutorial if you are showing two point animation following a straight line( or curved, but how do you show let's say google map animation from point A to B to C to D etc which turns left right etc? how to gradually reveal using same technique the path?
@@Graphicious Hi, Cris, something like that but entirely in Camtasia, I used here 2 software, but I need to know if i can actually animate it in Camtasia alone? Thank you> ruclips.net/video/yigJBThpiHQ/видео.html
Absolutely brilliant! I've been waiting for a tut like this for a very, very long time. In fact, I thought that creating an animated arrow like this in Camtasia was a pipe dream. But not until I saw your video :) That's what I call thinking out of the box! From the bottom of my heart - thank you!!! There's just one more thing I'd like to ask you for: Could you please make another video explaining how to attach and animate the arrow head so that it moves together with the red line? That would be greatly appreciated :)
Thank you! I appreciate your comment and glad it is helpful. I did promise to make another one where I match the arrow head to the tip. But before I do it, if you really want to try it yourself, you can use the same procedure like in my motion tracking video. Same thing: ruclips.net/video/-ct_ogq4thg/видео.html
