Bernard hit me the hardest... As an 11 year old kid watching for the first time I always dismissed his character as the stupid king who wouldn't listen but as an adult and now father myself I've come to love him the most. He had every reason to be bitter, angry and resentful towards everyone around him but he rose to every occasion and always did right by not only his own people but others who he could've chose not to. True honor. True loyalty. True love. True leadership. I'll never be able to get through the Two Towers without tearing up to one of his most powerful lines.... "No parent should have to bury their child." RIP Bernard.
Yes Bernard’s delivery is so majestic when leading the charge. He turns into a humble mournful father. Brilliant actor. I read the books as a teen and saw the films out of college in theaters. His “No parent should ever bury their child” hits me so hard now that I’m a married father of 2.
All of these actors, including the ones with very small roles, were so critical in filling out Middle-earth on film. Side question, can anyone explain where Lobelia (0:29) and Old Noakes (1:40) are featured in the trilogy?
Lobelia Sackville-Baggins also is told of in The Return of The King (The Scouring of The Shire), when released after being wrongly imprisoned by Saruman’s followers.
Man , these are some beautiful people and some of theyr roles were of my favourite too. May they find rest in theyr Valinor. And for God sake, i know what are you doing , but stop showing Sean Bean in these kind of videos!!! May he live forever!!!
You can say that for soooo many vids on the internet… but why say it to a video honoring people thst passed by and giving tribute to them and their work?
@@danielnilsson9835 Have you watched LOTR? Do you understand what it is to appreciate art in its many forms and those who contributed to it? I hope someday you acquire that ability, because yours will be a barren life without it.
@@danielnilsson9835 It's not that Danny. I know the LOTR films really well and they are fantastic. I remember the actors in the the films. The point is that no-one is immortal- if they were this planet would be even more overcrowded. Actors enviably die just like everyone else - it's not that much of a shock.

He played that role perfectly. He turned that little part into an epic thing, "worthy of remembrance", you could say.
You may already know this, but that line was improvised by Bernard. It wasn't in the script or the books.
He's my favorite actor/character from those movies. Forth, and fear no darkness!

These people didn’t truly die. They instead boarded the boat to the Undying Lands. Forever alive in our hearts and minds.
Yes! Yes!
So true ♥
I was 11 when the first Lord of the rings came out. I’m now 34. It only feels two minutes ago I was watching it in the cinema
same here...I was 19 then
Ditto, class 1990.
I was 18 when I first saw Fellowship of the Ring in 2001.
that's impossible, I am 30 and it came out when i was 8, in 2001
@@DG_5856 You would have been 7. How cute
May the work of these people be seen for generations. Lord of the Rings is indeed treasure.
Thanks for this video. Most of these actors lived to a ripe old age, at least.
I feel sorry for them. May they rest in peace.
Amen 🙏🏻
Christopher Lee / Ian Holm / Bernard Hill 😪
Yea, basically the only three we care about
All three legendary actors will be deeply miss the most 😭😭
This video almost made me cry.
Thanks for sharing and greetings from a spanish fan of The Lord of the Rings movies and books.
Holy shit almost ten years for Ser Christopher Lee.... Time is running fast.
Gandalf: "I will not say "Do not cry", for not all tears are an evil"
I knew about Saruman, Bilbo and Theoden, but I never realised the actor who played the Witch-King in human form had died
Rest in peace to all of you. You all are legends!
this list will get bigger as more and more actors from the LoTR will pass away eventually , it's sad but it is just how life is.
Gone Except never forgotten nor lost
Ian Mckellen still alive... Ouf... Please stay immortal gandalf ❤️
Rest in peace 🙏
Ouch this hit me right in the feels. Time, where did you go?
OMG THE RING PASS AWAY TOO 😮
Is was cast back into the fire from witch is chasom from whence is came
Gen Z: "What does makes your childhood?"
Me: "Lord Of The Rings"
As a huge lord of the rings fan, I completely agree! (Though as a 14 year old, i guess I’m also considered gen z)
Rest in Peace 😢🙏🕊️
Of GOD We Are, And To Him We Shall Return.
Rip legends
I was absolutely distraught at Christopher Lee, Ian Holm, and Bernard Hill’s deaths.

Both appeared in the Fellowship extended Cut
@@listoholic4507 Lobelia was the one that stole the spoons from bilbo in the Hobbit, and Old Noakes was a Bagend resident as far as I can remember.
Lobelia is at Bilbo's party. Bilbo hides to avoid meeting her.

Bernard was unknown to me. May they all rest in piece.
man i realise just now that Bernard Hill died on the same date one year after my cat died.
0:58 I have no memory of this face....

Saruman abim kuleden düşünce ölmemişmiydi😂
What about the other nazgul's?
Dang even bilbo😭
very iconic faces
So weird because Christopher Lee in team with King Sauron🍔
None of them died really young, so all is fine. We are mortals
This is life...everyone in it will perish.
I got into TLOTR at age 9 and here I am now at age 31
Not Aldor, but "bowmaster"!
Bende yeni öldü sandım 🤣 Christopher Lee aylar önce konuşması vardı bir yerde .
A shame not calling Harry Goatleaf by his name 😔
I didn't know! 😲😲 He was credited as 'Gate Keeper.' There was no disrespect, only cluelessness. If I had known, his real name would have been used. 😊😊
Bro shoulda dropped in ROP, that was the most tragic death.
Ils avaient l'âge et ils ont eu une vie bien remplie.
Nyugodjanak békében.
🙏
Hail the Victorious Dead!
NOOOOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭
