A reliable tractor with a quality winch can get a LOT of work done-around here most logging is done that way-not many people can afford a skidder.Just don't push it too hard-take it easy and it will run just fine... Great video as always !
I have been watching for a long time, did you never try using a skid of some kind on the nose of the towed log ? I have heard that the round bonnet of one of your older trucks works well, I believe they make purpose built ones now.

We didn't have a skidder on the farm...we used two big eared mules to drag pulp wood out.

Usually I can get lift , and really not interested in adding more steps and complexity to the operation unless I can cost justify a reason.
