Awesome catches! Do you happen to know why NCDOT's been running P42s on the Piedmont more often? Are units getting taken out?

I am guessing the P42s number 33 and 38 were on loan from Amtrak as the F59PH engines may be in need of maintenance or repair. They were also around when the Open Express was being run so there wouldn't be an equipment shortage with the added daily train leaving Raleigh.
