no, its not on the same League as Devil Wears Prada. This is more like Straight As and Mean Girls level. If this role was given to Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, or a prettier actress, then it would have been a classic. Its a cute Chic Flick. But The Devil Wears Prada can make straight boys watch it over and over again. This is one is pure Chic Flix.
I think this movie made a positive impact on my life lol. I watched it when I was a teenager and was so worried that I’d have a huge credit debt. So I have always paid back my credit asap
I still feel they should have explained to her it was an actual bridesmaids dress That did bother me Rebecca never confirmed that even though it would’ve hurt Suze’s feelings
I forgot how much I loved this movie, it reminds me of such an innocent and beautiful time in my life..... After reading the book on a flight I had to watch it again 😅
And there’s more to it, but it’s stressful even just sharing this. I’m not gonna talk about anymore. Needles to say yeah this movie is way to real to me. I have bipolar disorder, so that definitely doesn’t help things and contributes a lot to my spending. I shop a lot when I’m depressed or especially when I’m manic.
I personally like this movie better than the devil wears Prada, only this one has the worst editing and the devil wears Prada has the phenomenal performance of Meryl Streep. But this movie is far more entertaining. And the green scarf is ICONIC!!!
The movie is so ironic. For most of times, I feel pity of her, but there were times I wish her best friend smack her head so she stick to the good outcome. Addiction is bad, and I believe it is slowly accumulate since we're young. I'm a former hoarder as well - sometimes I hate myself much as it complicates many things in my life. I thought that I'd be enjoying life much much mucg sooner if I have grasp on the issue and be realistic since young.
I really didn’t enjoy the movie, I liked the books more.. When I read the first book, Becky sometimes seemed really annoying to me because she was SO irresponsible. But I still kept reading and in the end she’s just a nice and funny girl. I’ve read almost all the books of the Shopaholic series now, and I enjoy reading them even though I feel like the author keeps coming up with random storylines to keep the series going..
A friend of mine recommended me this movie because she thinks i dress well and is also a shopaholic. I have never ever related so much to a movie like this
Mark 7:21-23 "For it is FROM WITHIN, out of a person’s HEART, that evil thoughts come - sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, Greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come FROM INSIDE and defile a person.”
15 years old already and I didn't hate it Yes this is full of problems being highly predictable and some of the jokes are repetitive It's surprising given this is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' fame But the bright spot in this is Isla Fisher; she is funny, very charming, and still is so fine after all this time There are cute moments and it does sympathize with the audience considering we came out of a 2008 recession; spending so much and trying to get out of credit card debt is no easy task But there is a weight that's lifted off your shoulders once someone addresses the issue and takes care of it The movie's heart is in the right place and the soundtrack is so cool while also showing not all women are materialistic by endlessly using credit cards to find happiness There's so much you can do when you're not shopping constantly and being loved by others not from a price tag The supporting characters are sparse like John Goodman and Joan Cusack as Rebecca's parents, even John Lithgow only has 2 scenes which is a shame next to Kristen Scott Thomas I’m glad this was a moderate hit not completely failing while also being lush and colorful Again Fisher is the reason to watch this movie but again there are better romantic comedies out there This isn't one of the worst though
Movies like this and devil wears Prada is so iconic and timeless, even their clothes don’t go out of style
Agree
True

@@eduardochavacano it's equally iconic, hello credit card in the freezer? Talk about iconic

I think this movie made a positive impact on my life lol. I watched it when I was a teenager and was so worried that I’d have a huge credit debt. So I have always paid back my credit asap
The book gave me anxiety. I couldn't afford more than the minimum and received letters from the bank. She had bank letters in the book.
Better yet… Don’t buy on credit…
Smart move. The only times I ever splurge when shopping is just for birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas.
I feel the same way. I don't even own a credit card.
Me too!! This is how I always thought about credit cards but now I have medical debt 😅
Isla Fisher's accent was so brilliant in this, didn't know she was Australian until 2017. LOL
She' australian?!
@@bibliofiliafull Yes. Same reaction 4 years ago. Lol
is she the lead role? how come she never had any more movie.

My sister loved this film, was probably her favorite film. She’s gone now and it ran across my mind and that’s why I even searched it up 🙏🏽
Your sister had amazing taste!
Great way to remember her. I’m sure she watched it a dozen times 🤍

This movie really showed us how to deal with any adiction
This movie is one of my absolute comfort movies
Mine too, if ever I'm at home unwell, it's my go-to movie 🥰
I laughed when the addictions counsellor made her donate the bridesmaid dress to charity 🤣
I still feel they should have explained to her it was an actual bridesmaids dress
That did bother me Rebecca never confirmed that even though it would’ve hurt Suze’s feelings
THAT SLAP WAS THE FUNNIEST THING IVE EVER SEEN
The last clip had me rolling, I was not expecting that at all

Before I laughed at her life for being shopaholic. Now, my life becomes as same as her 😢😢😅😅😅
I’ve tried the asking myself if I really need it. Sometimes it works. I love the time I convince myself that I need it if I want it bad enough.

how did you heal hoarding
This movie really helped me with impulsive buying ngl and it did make me scared of getting into credit card debt, also it loathe retail therapy lol.
she’s looks amazing 😻
I watched this when I was so young, but I forgot the title and stuff, until my aunt gave me the books. Now I'm so glad to finally rediscover this gem.
This is an iconic film. Often I mistake Isla Fisher for Amy Adams and Amy Adams for Isla Fisher. Being a redhead must have its perks.
This movie raised me and started my love for fashion😍
I have the original vcd of that film now it's Netflix era time changes so fast so drastically.
We need more movies like this😭

There’s like 10000 deleted scenes in this trailer 😭
That's why its worth watching
This movie is a really good adaption of Kinsella's Shopaholic book series 1st book
So excited to watch this tomorrow !
Where can I watch this movie? 🥺🥺🥺
2:13 Can someone translate what Yanni said? This is one of my favorite movie but until now I don’t know what he said.
"Hello it's so nice to meet another Finn here. What about you?Do you agree?" Before the slap 😂 "I miss Finnish sauna and cardemom bun, what about you?"
Omg Hugh Dancy
He played the Prince in Ella Enchanted with Anne Hathaway.
Yeah when you think of him now you think of Hannibal but he had a long list of Rom Com's before that show came out !
He was so Baby🥹🥹🥰🥰 I’m now reading the novels and picturing him as the male protagonist
I watched this movie then read "30 Days to Stop Being a Shopaholic" by Harper Daniels haha. I'm on a shopaholism cure.
Love this movie . So hilarious
Anyone speak finnish ? What does Janne say to her ?

I wish that Rebecca Bloomwood would turn into Maddie from Back to the Outback because I like Isla Fisher as a super cute taipan snake.
Lots of luv
