Hi all, Given this is Irving Chernev's apparently favourite all time game, and Chernev is my favourite chess book annotator - and also given that my birthday is coming up, please could you consider adding this video to your Favourites. I really enjoy doing the evolution of style series, and would be great to have this video in particular emphasised to showcase the series! :)
Such a beautiful game with one of my favorite openings. The restriction and blockading in this wonderfully cramped and closed position made me think I was watching a Nimzowitsch game! haha Thanks for reviewing a great game KC, keep up the great work. Cheers!
I've been following KC for years -- and I've enjoyed the Evolution of Chess series more than any other chess videos on youtube. This is just to say happy birthday and keep it up. You have many fans and well-wishers all over the world!
Hello kingscrusher, when I tried the rated problems I solved one so fast it gave me 3407 rating. I think that is kind of ridiculous. But I was getting better at solving them as they progressed. I missed some completely and others only took two trys which resulted in extremely high ratings. Are these accurate? I don't think they can be if I'm scoring that high on one problem. Your response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. P.s big fan of your channel.
KC, your commentary is great remember this and keep it going most people support you as do I by watching your vids my chess skills have improved greatly thanks
Great work Kingcrusher! The entire evolution series is fascinating and tremendously instructive. You must have PO'd the Bogoljevic fan club! Whoever they are. Aljechin! :-)
@kingscrusher Yet another instructive and enjoyable video - thanks, KC. This game wasn't annotated in MIGCEP, was it? Do you happen to know which of Chernev's books it *was* annotated in? Ta!
Great analysis! I'm sure you have been asked this question a thousand times, what is the "chess" software you are using? I mean the actual chess board with the arrows and highlights. Also, who would dislike this video!
Hi KC, I just have a quick question. at 6:49 (Qh6), why can't white play dxe5, hoping to win center pawn? The knight on d2 is no longer a tactical target for the queen.
who is the player with multiple accounts? Kingscrusher you are an asset to youtube, thanks for posting videos. This was a very interesting game, thanks for uploading.
@kingscrusher Please go to google translate and select "English" to "Russian" and paste the following: "Алекса́ндр, Але́хин. Ефи́м, Боголю́бoв" Now press "Listen" on the right side. The pronounciation is almost 100% correct by the robot. (There's a slight error in bogo's surname, but it is negligible) Now, practice that pronounciation 100 times :)
great work, KC!! beautiful game and your commentary brought it all to life very well indeed. please continue the great work, but maybe a little less bullet videos :) though they are admittedly quite entertaining. I do think that you're too good a player and far too good a commentator to spend much time on 'warzones'. watching you mash 'bunnies' is fun, but watching your 5-minute ICC videos and videos like these is what I personally prefer by a mile. Thumbs up from Canada! (Eh)
@kingscrusher You may want to see if you can set up filter on your videos, I would fear if someone new to your videos reads the comments before the video they would avoid the channel. If you don't want to filter just ban them from subscribing.
simply: Don't give a f****ck on the guy or guys giving dislikes. If anyone has to say something he can give a comment, which he is obviously is not willing to do. because so far, I have never read a negative comment on any of your vids which was plausible, and I have probably watched like 90% of them... critics are always good, but not in the form of just hitting the dislike button... so dont worry about it and keep concentrating on making 10.000 suscribers happy :-)
You know maybe its best to just to completely ignore the trolls. No well balanced person would take any notice of them or their dislikes. Personally I am so used to trolls that I don't even notice them anymore!
The more you care about dislikes the more they are going to do it. Plus - you should ask all of your subscribers to favorite the video; that matters more than likes and dislikes.
wow kingscrusher, now you've become so popular you even got your own fan club of trolls! and they show their admiration by clicking the dislike-button. thanks for a great video, as always!
@kingscrusher I would imagine it's difficult to track people making different accounts with the use of proxy's and different ip addresses. What really blows my mind is that someone would take the trouble to do this kind of thing. As long as it doesn't affect you continuing to do your videos I think the best thing is take pity upon such a misguided fellow.
Beastly analysis. Good job.

"These stumbling knights look pretty drunken at the moment, but their drunkenness is used as a point of humiliation."
KC is the John Madden of chess.
Beautiful game, insightful commentary. Thanks, KC!

Thanks for the video KC. I am a chess enthusiast and have always enjoyed your videos and analysis.
@WaitingMove Someone is abusing RUclips I am afraid. I really enjoyed annotating it anyway.
Great analysis. I would like to add that, at move 35, Alexander threatened knight to f3 checkmate.
What a fantastic game!!! Great outlook Tryfon!
great vid , i love the evolution of style series .

It was also called Alekhine's Immortal game because of the triple queen sac
This is truly a masterpiece it is a pawn enormous game Hans Kmoch would give it an A +++ !!!
As always, your analysis offers entertainment and instruction.

KC, whatever you do dont let the troll win. You abandoning the channel is exactly what he wants.

great game but didn't you annotate this one already
You know maybe its best to just to completely ignore the trolls. No well balanced person would take any notice of them or their dislikes. Personally I am so used to trolls that I don't even notice them anymore!
@nomindchess SeanGGodley annotated this a while back :) (I think :)?)
Not to mention KC - You can have a service send likes or dislikes to videos. Don't think RUclips really cares (because how would you ever stop it?)
Wow, beutiful game :)
Bogoljubof: Bow-gull-you-boff
DUTCH DEFENSE FTW!!! alekhine was a genius
Ha ha, I need to learn how to play games like that.
The more you care about dislikes the more they are going to do it. Plus - you should ask all of your subscribers to favorite the video; that matters more than likes and dislikes.
efim bogoljubov, that is his name
wow kingscrusher, now you've become so popular you even got your own fan club of trolls! and they show their admiration by clicking the dislike-button. thanks for a great video, as always!

"sadistic use of pawns" lol.
And never mind these no-life player-haters, KC. Jealousy is unbecoming and internet commenting is full of it.
17 people... Err, sorry... 1 person doesn't understand chess.
haters gonna hate
