As a Starbucks manager working at the time the Pink drink first popped up. In 2016, i saw more vegan influencers pushing it than anyone else. Later to capitolize off of it they made the pink, purple and green drinks for a charity with lady gaga. I first saw James charles video of it well after it had alrdy become viral.
