Why did Class 319's leave thameslink? Thameslink are surrounded with 700's.

At least the 700s have charging points for me at least. If they wasn't replaced then my nearest charging points would've been using the new Electric Buses

These aren't VVVF. They use DC-PWM to control motor power up to 15mph, where the motors are then fed DC power directly.
