      The guy is at work around with. Use a engine place to lift that same object up. We had MC fives, sixes, sevens, 8 nine, and 102. We also have buffaloes buses. I learn quite a few odd things about him. We did have a bus who Chase the same. Parts app like I said they would use an engine hoist to hold it up healthy back-and-forth. To get that part in just a suggestion. I'm not the mechanic, you guys are definitely the mechanics.

      Hate to sound like a nervous nelly, but wouldn't an engine cherry picker with a sling be easier to get that huge torsion in and out?

    • @BusGreaseMonkey
      @BusGreaseMonkey  9 месяцев назад +3

      What kind of angle do you think a cherry picker arm is going to be at to go in through a wheel well? Yet alone have clearance for a sling and the torsion tube. The tube doesn’t even go in straight we had to stand it up to the top to get around the rv leveling jack on the side. The tv must make it look easy because my hoists won’t fit in that area they are to tall. Then try managing the legs around all the jack stands holding the body, the axle, and an extra safety stand for good measure. Ain’t gonna work

    Without a doubt, BGM and his crew need to modify an engine hoist and come up with an extension arm to hold up stuff like that torsion spring assembly while it's being guided into place. Trying to hold and guide heavy stuff like that inside such cramped conditions begs for a material handling solution.

This job seems like the perfect application for a shop crane to suspend the weight while tilting, clocking, and pushing the torsion cylinder into the mounting spots. Harbor Freight sells two ton and one ton models that are well-made. Not as cheap as they once were, and they're overkill for that torque cylinder, but better than breaking your back. Easy for me sitting watching video but was it not possible to drop the axle,while supporting the chassis, or at least lowering it.

    I love these type of videos. Love the hands on and those "actors" with their guttoral theatrics (Sarcasim)... Glad to see another satisfied customer. Please be careful with Ye Olde Backerooski's. I have to take an aspirin sometimes to just watch. I think that is Jonathan helping spin all 92 wrenches, great job! Thank you.
