Tbh hermitcraft recently has strayed away from their vanilla selling point, why market as a vanilla server with the clear overhaul of mods
@@ashwinkokate2295 They're still vanilla and still survival? Most of the mods they use are just minor practical/cosmetic things, not game breaking at all
@@ashwinkokate2295 it's VERY far away from being a modded server, modded looks VERY different. you can see by just looking at their Hermitcraft modded SMPs how different the two actually are. they've cut down on mods that change the actual game recently, for example there's no double shulker shells per shulker kill anymore

I can think of a few people who were scared of Scar during Secret Life. And a few more who weren't scared of Scar but then realized they should have been.

We went from 5am Pearl in Secret Life to 9pm Pearl blasting out a terraforming project without even realising it 😄
She Livestreams from 11 to 3 am, and she did the ramp on live stream, the terraforming was done by 4am pearl😅
Some where in the middle is noon pearl who will murder you then use your Head for a decoration before she realizes she's built a mountain

They’ve been friends for quite a while and it’s so wholesome and fun! I think Gem mentioned that they met and started building together in 2016. Gem talks about it in her Minecraft 15th anniversary video.

Yes Pearl! I love that you're setting healthy boundaries that prioritise your wellbeing with your work.
We love your videos and the content you create, and I know there's a "power creep" pressure from which all entertainment media seems to suffer, where each new project has to be bigger and better than the last, completed faster and all at once.
It is normal and understandable you've felt that pressure, but the people who enjoy your work enjoy it whether you stop halfway through and come back to it, or get stuck in off camera and showcase it, or time-lapse the whole thing. It's all stunning work and we appreciate the effort and love you put into it 💙

Nah, I like to think of Gem and Pearl as having their own unique energy. It’s much softer and not as loud, especially the when they giggle as they antagonize each other.

I always imagine free cam as a small camera drone that the hermits use to make awesome videos. We use drones in url to observe natural wonders and construction projects, so I see no problem in using them in Minecraft.
I believe FalseSymmetry calls it a drone when she uses it.

I'd love to read a fanfic about normal players being shown around builds by a Hermit, only for sai Hermit to suddenly go still and their eyes to go all glassy and undead-like as their ghost leaves their body to spectate the builds, all the while still talking to the Players, creeping them out.

I'd love to see tango build a desalination plant near the beach. It can have smoke coming out it to show it's working. There could be some calcite blocks coming out of it on the side, to symbolise the salt it's removing and there could be a pipe and pumping system that takes the water up to a tank near the house

I have noticed over the few years that I've been watching Hermitcraft that a lot of hermits don't light their bases that well since they have 1 player sleep.
Scar isn't the only one.... but probably the worse at lighting anything.

All though honestly, I can totally see Scar just forgetting to light his stuff... It's all the time!
For the postal box return, might it make sense to ask hermits to send extra empty shulker boxes without a stamp, so they end up at the postal office's lost mail desk and you can just pop them up the hill? It might get more hermits to return extra boxes if they don't have to run them over themselves. One of your employees of the redstone variety might even be able to hook up a sorter that checks if the boxes are empty or not, shooting the empty ones into a pipe that carries them back up into the restock area. Love the terraforming work, you're a massive inspiration! ♡

I just realised that where Tango's base is situated it's gonna lead into Gem's base. And where Pearl's terraforming is will eventually connect to Skizz. So the western region is connecting up to Magic Mountain. It's gonna be so exciting to see that.

Suggestion for an escalation of the Pickle shenanigans: pickle farms are pretty simple to make. What if you started stocking Gem's Pickle store for her? What if you got Tango to help you make an auto-pickle farm and started leaving her chests of them? Or mail her shuklers of pickles from a "secret supplier" who she will almost certainly know is you, but you get plausible deniability if you don't directly include your name. I'm remembering some of the ridiculous things Joe used to do with Cleo back in season 7 when he started flooding her base with thousands of armor stands.
As a bonus, an auto-pickle farm would also supply you with as many as you would ever need for teraforming.

I thought it was a reference to the laws against sending explosives through the mail. Kind of like how Cleo will put the stamps in the top right slot of the dropper despite knowing it will work no matter which slot the stamp is in.

There was an ongoing bit about that in Jimmy's Christmas village series last winter. The participants were split between "people who've known about the pickle thing their whole life" and "people who were just then hearing about it and very confused".

Pickles are becoming my favorite fast. As well as having some use aligning items and rails for me, they are cups, cattails, little plants, underwater lighting and i just built some olive trees that are just bursting with ripe olives. Thank you pickles!

theoretically you could add an automatic shulker return to the mail system, where hermits can just chuck their unwanted shulker boxes into a "trash chute" that would automatically send the shulkers out to the post office, which could then automatically unload them into the return chest(s)

Freecam is great! There is no problem using it to view builds, much better than trying to fly around it.

Pearl and Tango duo is not something I thought I needed, but I absolutely love how they've decided to team up (together with Etho, of course) this season. I really enjoyed their interactions during Decked Out 2 as well!
One thin g to consider with the path if it is natural is erosion as it it is so close to the river. Water would be wanting to go from the high area down the path so maybe have a couple cuts along the side where the water eroded a path directly to the river

You should have some kind of small reward for sending extra Post Office shulkers back to the post office, like maybe a few extra stamps or something as a bonus for giving back excess shulkers.

I was participating on the live stream you did the terraforming. Very calm and chill stream and got also the Twitch cape. Definitely you got good taste in redoing structures and terraforming. Gem getting annoyed by Pearl because of sea pickles is so funny.

What you could do if you don't have much use for P.O. boxes is do hold mail requests! Someone going on vacation for a week or something? You can have it so you or one of your fellow postal workers stop by once every few days, check if they have mail, and then hold it for them at the post office for when they get back. That also gives people a little more reason to stop by the beautiful building
Edit: also so we their mailbox doesn't get full if they get a lot of mail
A bridge between your base and Tango's would be an eye catching build (on the higher land above the top of your new staircase/path)

"I want to learn more redstone this season" and then she designs an entire minigame from scratch on a whim during an 8-hour live stream, including the use of a crafter as a counting device, pulse extenders, interlocks; and the whole thing is naturally Grian-proof. The only thing that can be broken in the current design is the shuffler by not putting the blocks back in. Even then, that's hardly broken and can be fixed by putting the items back and hitting the reset button again
the beach was absolutely amazing definitely keeping that technique in mind for the future
