I forget that they don’t, cause my siblings and I lived with two identical old dell laptops years ago that would not stay on unless plugged into the charger. So the moment the charger falls out, laptops done for and you gotta wait ages for it to function again after plugging it back in. It was charged, supposedly, but if it wasn’t charging at all times it wasn’t turning on. So I forget that laptops aren’t supposed to be plugged in to work 😂

I have actually had a pet penguin! Sort of..he was a wild penguin (specifically a Little Blue Penguin) who my dad found injured on the beach one summer when I was a kid. We weren't able to get him to an animal hospital so my dad (normally a doctor for humans) tried his hand at emergency veterinary surgery and the penguin lived with us for a couple months until he recovered. He was never an actual pet but he lived in an indoor/outdoor aviary and we gave him a paddling pool to keep up with his swimming and my brother and I would go catch sprats off the jetty every day to feed him. He made a full recovery and we released him back at the beach near his colony and the next season we saw him again still alive and seemingly doing well :) He never pooped on any popcorn (or presents) as far as I'm aware, though ;)
