The railgun is always fun, even just hitting condors, I've had them try to target me. Pop Irish's sentinel, behind a shield, with anti air rockets and they can do nothing against ya.

Number keys, however since my movement keys are ESDF everything else is shifted one key to the right so it would be 3 and 2 number keys for switching weapons.
Not saying what your doing is not HARD because it is but this is way easier to do this in 2042 then in battlefield 3. Love the video btw your talent to shooting pilots out of the sky is unparallel.
bf3 was way easier but bf4 made it impossible, the metal and instrument cluster would save the pilot, like go to a map where scout helis are used in bf3 and use the second gun seat to shoot the pilot out vs bf4 where you wont get a single hitmarker
I had so much fun with that gun that it’s one of my favorite specially shooting snipers when they have trouble trying to shoot you if you just straf or move around 😂
I tried this since it went on Gamepass recently, and I'm having more fun than I thought I would, but what's with the input delay on the controls? The mouse delay was fixed pretty quickly after I started, but man, the input delay gets killer sometimes. With anything over 16v16, it can get pretty bad, mostly on breakthrough. Have you seen anything like this in your time playing? And if so, any insight into whether it's specs or optimization-related? Can't find anything on the internet that seems conclusive other than speculation that it's related to CPU-utilization.
What do you mean by input delay, just mouse movement? what actions have you noticed that have a delay here are some examples of flat out delays no matter what you do recoil control, crouching, moving, swaping weapons, ect.
You'd have to be more specific. What you describe sounds like performance issues with your PC/console. Supposedly changes were made to the game that weren't previously done to Battlefield games where polling inputs were affected by frames or fps. I was told there were advantages and disadvantages to this change but they never fully explained what either of those included. My guess would be this is related to that and your system being overloaded in some way causing fps to affect input. Also the more recent updates increased the CPU utilization so you might be getting a performance hit from that but if things aren't configured or setup correctly within your system. If you are talking about weapon swapping and movement that has always been affected by client/server performance especially when in large player engagements, it's a lot of players to render, their data, the bandwidth and processing from the server for all those players and trying to maintain a certain update rate and sync when so many are in close proximity, other things will be affected or sacrificed to maintain it. That happened in previous Battlefield games as well.
nasty gpu frame times can heavily effect input delay you should pull up msi afterburner just to have a quick look if your frame times are low your good so then try enabling nvidia reflex instead in the settings this lowers your latency on inputs
Both this game and your mouse rely heavily on cpu, especially if your mouse going over 1000hz polling rate. So depends on how much hz your mouse polling rate and how powerful your cpu is, it's gonna need more cpu power to process the input. At the same time the game itself is cpu hungry and if your cpu can't handle the load it's gonna give you some horrible input lag to the mouse.
Just got this gun and discovered it’s Mitch harder to use then some vids like this man’s it seem haha. Fun gun tho glad they added it as I loved the bf4 version
I’ve been called a hacker in Csgo because of some of the shots I can hit, it’s common for when people get killed in outrageous ways to call hacks because it’s become so popular to hear of people hacking and to see it instead of thinking maybe he is just good, he has to be hacking, I mean hell shroud has been accused of hacking many times, and pops off on brand new games with insane accuracy, not only would one have to be seriously good and manipulating the system but to also be able to cheat on launch day, especially on games that weren’t based off of an already existing engine. It’s when the realty that maybe these people aren’t as good as they would like to think of themselves actually hits is when they stop playing that game.
God i love the railgun, the amount of salt you can farm from the stealthheli mains is actually amazing. its a literal mine of salt with near infinite supply
I can't help but think that they'd add armor for pilots or crew as time goes on. I also don't understand why they changed the damage for 45-70 govt. It was super satisfying watching that bullet drop.
What gets me is the inconsistent armor on certain vehicles. The base squad car is super open, but the Wildcat (I think... the up-armored squad vehicle) is armored out the ass. And considering the Recoiless launcher can waste all its ammo on one vehicle and only get it down to 3/4 health at best, it's pretty annoying. Hell, the Recoiless launcher can kill everyone in the base squad vehicle without destroying it.
They already have damage reduction to windows in Battlefield 2042. That is one of the reasons why I avoid using the majority of the weapons in the game as it takes too many bullets to drop someone out of a vehicle and with how fast and maneuverable vehicles are in this game along with their player hitboxes desyncing so badly because of that speed and maneuverability it becomes pointless to try when in previous Battlefield games it was common for anyone to be able to shoot out someone from a vehicle. Also a reminder they classified the railgun in BF2042 as an "armor piercing" projectile. As far as I can tell armor piercing rounds in this game are the reason the damage reduction was given to windows on vehicles as they are the only bullets to maintain their damage through windows. However no one ever equips them on LMGs or ARs because they have such low damage vs infantry or lower ammo pools or they just take too long to swap to in a fight where you'd actually need them. It's one of those things in the game where it would be nice if DICE just removed them and stopped trying to force certain mechanics.
Yes and no. If you spend enough time testing and looking closely you'll see the projectile is landing behind the player model. Meaning the hitboxes in this game lag behind pretty badly compared to previous Battlefield games.
I absolutely despise snipers in 2042. The game is otherwhise surprisingly fun just to get sniped by a dude laying on a rock for 20 minutes who has a total of 3 kills. My favorite gun is the second DMR as a Midrange weapon so you can literally countersnipe most dudes with it
I get a good 140 to 160 99% of the time. c: only in 64v64 rush XL do I tend to fluctuate between 100 and 130 fps. 1440p ultra wide high settings on a 3090 and 5950x heavily pbo'd.
I wonder how the game would be on the vehicle/infantry balance if Ravic and his friends only played vehicles like a lot of content creators and other normal players that has 1 million kills in each one of the vehicles. I mean DICE get out their way to keep nerfing the GVT for no reason. The only person who plays with it is Ravic to make a skill based content (insert SBMM joke here). Next gun that they will nerf: The Rorsch MK-4

It's one of the reasons we stopped using them and with each new game they keep giving them more and more overpowered nonsense making it easier and easier to do. Yeah that is another reason why it's a bummer the GVT got nerfed. Kill people enough times with a weapon they'll switch to it to try it out thinking it's ez or overpowered. Since the GVT required a player to be fast and accurate with landing headshots it's quite difficult to do well with it so it becomes a trap for those players switching to the weapon.
man i remember in bf3 this was so common when even a shotgun could de-pilot...then bf4 made cockpits have resistance and you can only de-pilot if you had aimbot and a time window to headshot twice
BF4 aircraft with windows didn't have damage resistance. In the beta/demo they were bugged but at launch and throughout its lifespan they were just normal windows you could shoot through without any damage loss. It was pretty easy to shoot out pilots in that game ( made an entire video series for it: ruclips.net/video/HKvF352fO3o/видео.html ) especially with the less mobile aircraft. No aimbot required :)
Just wish my game would just play without the crashing. Some days I can go hours easily then some days (like today) I can't even get a full match in without the game crashing. Probably the worst experience I've had with a game repeatedly crashing on me. Hell I've had games crash less that were in Alpha state than this game and 2042 is the game I would like to play.

I use it on ps4,and like after ten minutes of being in a lobby that lobby turns to sniper glint field trying to get me
