1:30 that's my biggest gripe, I know it was set as long as it was to encourage squads to play together, but it really punishes solo players from growing crazy.
It might be more appropriate with lower player counts but at higher player counts ( 64-128 ) it's bad. In general it gives defenders way too much time respond and they can respawn multiple times before you are able to neutralize it. It's becomes worse when you take into consideration it's not just Conquest but Sector Conquest.
man this reminds me of the ol days in BF 3 and just the salt storm it would cause. Although nothing will beat the era of m3 sniping in Counter Strike Source. At one point way back, the m3's spread always had 1 pellet got dead ass center or just a pixel or so off. damage from that was enough to easily 1-2 shot people

I know I'm super late into this game. Just got one like a week ago. The more I play it, the more it resembles as the remastered version of BF4. How the character moves (with the addition of sliding), the gunplay (minus the zeroing in sniper), the vehicle, the destruction (Levolution and dynamic weather system), both feel quite similar.
Everyone unequivocally runs the blue skin on the BOOMSTICK. If you make another shotgun video, which would be awesome btw it should be called “Bluestick Annihilator” Didn’t know you were such a menace with a shotgun!

I believe that Falck's syrette pistol causes bad gaming habits and it's not something I think that benefits Battlefield since it's a selfish mechanic that requires attention and action from the player for it to be used on teammates, meaning it's something that requires player action to get teamwork to function. When a player has a big box ammo or meds equipped when they put it down to heal or give themselves ammo they are unintentionally or passively healing teammates, so it's subtle or passive teamwork. Personally I think overall that creates a better experience for the average player or random person playing the game by themselves and for a Battlefield game's lifespan and player population how a game plays for those people tends to be more important. Irish I just find less useful and that APS is or was pretty broken so I'd rather avoid using it. Angel's loadout crate lets squadmates full resupply explosives in one go instead of multiple trips with a cooldown using the smaller ammo box, this was much more useful since the vehicle spam made it so they were constantly having to get more landmines. However now that they've nerfed landmines so much and still done nothing about the vehicle spam it's less effective. Anyways the loadout crate can still act as temporary cover and it can still be used to relocate teammates not doing anything.
@@Ravic Thanks for the reply. Falck players play more like an assault specialist with 12 med pens that regen instantly. Def agree that Angels crate is super strong. Wish more people made use of it. The temp cover is real sick bonus on top. Do you think Falck needs a rework/nerf?
@@gangsta_goose Comparing Falck players to Assault players using the med pen is an apt observation. If one didn't exist you know those players would be using the other no matter what. Yes I do think Falck needs to be changed to avoid such behavior but I also think it would require too many other related changes just to make it work. I think the simplest/dumb solution would be to make Falck's syrette pistol function like it did in the "alpha" where it revived players from a distance. If it only did that and revived at a lower hp like squad revives ( from non-medic Class ) people still playing as Falck with those changes would be doing so for less selfish reasons ( for the self heal ). Although it would probably be a controversial change that would make the vocal minority lose their minds but as you pointed out those players would probably just switch to playing Assault and running around with the med pen so I'm not sure it would make a big difference. Vehicle vs infantry combat is BF2042's bigger issue and it's been unbalanced pretty unbalanced since BF1 or getting progressively worse since then.
@@Ravic If people want to play that hyper-aggressive playstyle, it should just be limited to the Assault class as it fits the purpose of that class well. I would be in favor of a Falck rework like that, but too many people would be against it so it wouldn't be feasible. Maybe if DICE just reduced her syringe count from 12 down to 6 and made the recharge time between syrettes the same as the med pouches it would be nicer. Just something so optimal Falck play didn't detract from her support potential. Shoot if they gave Assault its 3 C5 back maybe vehicles would be kept in check. Last update is making loads of people play Engineer to try and keep up. Maybe remove C5 from Recon to keep C5 spam minimal?
@@gangsta_goose In normal gameplay sessions since the launch of the game in my experience it was rare to see Assault players or Assault Specialists regularly trying to blow up vehicles with C5, sure plenty of Sundance's flying around for that montage clip where they C5 a Condor but every game? No way. Anyways whether that is because it's so easy for vehicles to quickly move or get away or because the radius for C5 was so small or didn't do enough damage I'm not sure. The main thing we saw consistently destroying vehicles was landmines and Lis missiles and those both took a hit when they gave armor APS and then it further took a hit when they nerfed landmines recently. Before Lis the only thing that was really effective against armor or was something armor couldn't run away from and then heal again was C5 attached to Casper drones and that should have been a red flag for the developers if that is the only reliable way to take out tanks. But instead they keep going in the other direction making it harder and harder for infantry to deal with the armor/tanks. It probably wouldn't be so bad except they also increased the number of vehicles and reduced the cooldown on spawning them in with one of the later seasons so there is basically no downtime and it feels like endless vehicle spam. The biggest problem though regarding all of it is they balance it around 128 player Conquest and they do no scaling of any kind for lower player count modes which means that unbalance gap between infantry and vehicles gets bigger the lower the player count is. Sure loads of people are playing Engineer but the thing is there has always been loads of players playing Engineer and they've never been able to keep up at any point in this game's lifespan. The changes they'd have to make are on the vehicle side and DICE or someone at DICE seems to refuse touching the things that need to be changed for vehicles like active seats, multiple vehicle repair systems, mobile spawn points, etc..
It's always been there. Whether you can hear it or not is dependent on what is going on around you although with the more recent seasons for the game it's to the point that it doesn't really matter because they added so many more pointless audio effects to fill the audio queue you rarely get to hear what you want or need to hear.

BF2042 has made players or at least me less trusting in the mini-map and it's usefulness, I watch it less than I did in previous Battlefield games because it tends to be useless at higher player counts like 128. But the real problem is there are still phantom or fake enemy icons that appear for a few milliseconds, they aren't real players so you end up reacting to or chasing nonexistent targets. It's a bug that has been in the game since launch, I tried to get DICE to address it, the community and other content creators whined and cried for other things to ruin the game like map re-works that ruined the game's original design and intention.

That version of the gun is really goofy to shoot in this game ( single-action ). That and the 4x in this game has a really slow zoom/ADS animation that makes my eye twitch seeing it, so slow.
Hey Ravic I'm a long time Battlefield player, but recently stopped for the release of this game I came back and have been having a hard time re adjusting to how to play around the vehicles in this game. I usually play a medic role but it feels like any armored vehicle never gets destroyed. Any tips on how to play around that?
If you are sticking with 128 Conquest then there isn't a whole lot you can do. Play the game with friends that are willing to help deal with the endless vehicle spam. Go to the areas on the map where it's harder for vehicles to be around but are still near or on objectives you can support. Play a different game mode that has less vehicles or find I guess a safe space server in Portal that has some vehicle restrictions.
I think hipfire should be way worse and ADS spread should be improved further. I miss full-choke 870 from BF4 where you had risk vs reward, stopping to ADS to be able to drop people accurately instead of spam strafing and firing from the hip.
I couldn't get the 00 to work to work with my lesser skills.🤣 Basic 01 Buck is definitely king with 12 pellets at 20 damage each out to 20 meters. If I'm consistently in close quarters, I'll switch to 04 for the extra damage and pellets, but that spread is AWFUL.
DICE killed my specific loadout of the GVT so it can't one shot to the head at all ranges so I stopped using it, that and they put in the Rorsch and won't remove that thing no matter what I do or ask them to do.
I played around with the others for a bit but found them to be less consistent then the default rounds. I'm sure they have their very niche areas where they excel but it's a shotgun, it's already niche enough.
@@SeniorPrecioPay attention to where he's aiming. Accuracy matters even with shotguns. If the majority of your pellets hit the target then yours will in fact "do that" too.
I was messing around with it for a bit and then I realized I have to re-collect aspects/codexes and now I don't really feel like playing it. I was hoping Blizzard remembered it's a fantasy RPG where you are supposed to feel powerful but I guess they still think players must go collecting things they ALREADY collected before.
Those are some solid kills there, my guy. There's only two things i don't like about 2042's shotguns, the firing sounds are absolutely weak compared to other battlefield titles and there's only 4 to choose from.

I always took it as giving the opposition ample time to spawn on flags for attempting defence. I don't like it either way.

The one shot kills seem to be more consistent in this game versus older battlefield games, someone at dice really loves this shotgun

#01 is probably the best, especially with the changes to the pellet spread in hipfire and ADS. Just avoid Flechette, slugs and #00 buck.

Those are some solid kills there, my guy. There's only two things i don't like about 2042's shotguns, the firing sounds are absolutely weak compared to other battlefield titles and there's only 4 to choose from.
