I had my beautiful kinalda years ago. Hearing these help me remember the 4 days. I can recall all my aunties, sisters, cousins, uncle in ceremony camp. We had so much fun, running early mornings, grinding the corn, preparing, chopping wood for the fire. My godmother give me guidance - how to be strong minded, being patient during all night ceremony, sun rise blessings. Singing along with medicine man. He was also a person who spoke with kindness. When heard these songs - I cried for happiness of the beautiful memories and blessings I received when I was 14 years old in Lukachukai.

Loved singing along old age saa songs. Wishing I learned a lot from my grandfather. He passed on in 2016 at age 104.. Miss all my elders. I am the next generation and hardly anyone speaks the language anymore. All my children wish they could speak the language. It was my ex husband who didn't teach them due to his strong belief in NAC church and wasn't fond of the Navajo tradition.
