Was lucky enough to visit in 2016. My #1 thing to do was watching airport landings from Maho Beach. I posted a vid on my channel. I want to go back and stay longer so I can do some of the other things you've recommeded ;-)

I'm going there this summer... specifically for the airplanes over the beach... pretty much the only place in the world I know where you can do this....
I've been to the "Airport Beach" twice and it is AMAZING! It's crowded but the water is gorgeous and calm, the planes landing are INSANE and the bar/restaurant is delicious! We cruised with Royal Caribbean, first visit was tour with the beach stop. Our next cruise we knew we wanted to go straight back to the airport so we took a taxi and spent the day there. It's unforgettable!
I didn't go on a cruise ship, I flew in and stayed for 4 days. But it's pretty easy, there'll be loads of taxis and shared mini-busses going that way. Another option is to take a day tour of the whole island. I took one with amigo Tours and it ended with an hour on the beach with coincided with the Air France flights. Ps - I've got a cool vid on my channel of loads of planes flying in if you want to take a look ;-)
glennaldosf There's also Skiathos in Greece but SXM is hella better! Im going for a full week there next month for the only reason of Maho Beach! As an aviation enthousiast, I will stay at the SXM Spotters Paradise hotel located 2 min of walk away from Maho Beach with each room giving view on RWY 10 (Or the beach!)

We are wanting to get to Maho Beach to watch the Airplanes and are coming by way of a Cruise ship, how did you get from the cruise port to Maho?
