It's all about Kusum. Think about it. All the actions of Sandeep Bhaiya are reactions to Kusum's actions, or one could say that they are a reflection of how he has treated, or been unable to treat, Kusum in a fair way. On the other hand, Abhilash is like a horse with blinders.
