Great video, but please correct the descriptions and dates. Surely hitler was not celebrating the rearmament of his army at the same time he was sent to prison.😆
well i had to look it up too but he was actually sent to prison for treason in 1st april 1924 (but came free later that year) that was when he also wrote "mein Kampf" all the really bad thing happened a decade later...

I think the dates are correct just not necessarily in the right order.
Strange to include post-1933 footage in a sequence supposedly dedicated to his imprisonment in 1924.

Thanks very for this posting British Pathe, great trips back in time. Who are these that tried to kidnap Princess Anne back in 1974? The Irish Republican Army (IRA)? I am from Kenya, and I'll get a little biased by making a humble request to you guys to dig up whatever archives you can on Kenya, the older the better, and post them here in one or two of your future compilations. 1. Princess Anne Kidnapping Attempt: In 1974, Princess Anne, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, was the target of a kidnapping attempt. While traveling in London, her car was intercepted by a gunman, Ian Ball, who intended to kidnap her for a ransom. However, Princess Anne's driver and a passerby intervened, managing to disarm Ball and restrain him until the police arrived. Ball was later charged and sentenced to life imprisonment.
2. Hitler Sentenced to Prison: Adolf Hitler, the notorious German dictator, was sentenced to prison in 1924 for his involvement in the failed Beer Hall Putsch. This event marked Hitler's first attempt to seize power in Munich, Bavaria. During the coup, Hitler and his supporters tried to overthrow the Bavarian government but were ultimately unsuccessful. Hitler was arrested, and during his trial, he used the platform to gain publicity for his extremist views. He was found guilty of treason and sentenced to five years in prison. However, he served only nine months before being released.

He wasn’t. He was born in 2” April 1889. He would have been 34 or 35 in 1924. A lot of these dates are incorrect.

British Pathé is a very reliable news source, but sometimes they basically hire teenagers to compile videos, and those guys get all the dates mixed up as well.
