  • The final of three PedalPCB Marshall style pedal reviews. The Angry Andy is PedalPCB's take on the JHS @ (Andy Timmons). This is very similar to the Angry Charles pedal we looked at last time. It is again trying recreate the sound of a Marshall JCM800 amplifier, but with some tweaks by Mr. Timmons. With only a single EQ control, the addition of an air control (presence) and headroom toggle, this pedal provides just enough difference to make you have to decide.
This video takes you through a circuit analysis (comparison between the Angry Andy and Angry Charles), and a short demo of the effect.

Hi, Are the resistors 1/4 Watt or 1/8 Watt?

I watched a few of your videos about the pedalpcb pedals. Would you be willing to go through the build process in your next video? For example, at which point do you solder the pots? Do you socket transistors? That kind of stuff. Thank you for the videos!

I would love to see a complete build. My wife is starting to make pedals, she did a Mythos kit, but these seem more complicated? Certainly less clear on things like PCB mounted pots... confusing.

Hi, which pots are you using for this build? Which brand and size? Thanks!!

Different resistance values, but here is a link to the pots. www.taydaelectronics.com/100k-ohm-logarithmic-taper-potentiometer-round-shaft-pc-mount.html

Many RUclipsrs seem to use single coils for distortion pedal demos. Could someone name a guitarist besides Kurt Cobain who used that much gain and singles? I'm having a difficult time finding any reference.
I also ordered this kit so I appreciate the in-depth view of the circuit. I had troubles with the PedalPCB sunflower fuzz and after bringing my work to a local builder he agreed that the instructions were wrong on the website. This will hopefully help me on this build as it will be the last chance I give PedalPCB. In fact even the switch diagram for the Angry Andy is showing a different PCB which (for someone new to building) makes things confusing. Thanks for the video.

Joe Duplantier ? Not always but I saw Gojira live several times and on some songs he played a regular single-coil telecaster. ruclips.net/video/6xUoOaHzk5s/видео.html

I use a tele in the 4th position (both in series) usually. This provides more output and little bit fatter tone. Some say it is like a HB, but I wouldn't go that far. It gets me by...

Have you made the Radium Springs Reverb from PedalPCB?

I have not, but I am doing the ghost echo. I will put the other on the list
