Hi Abi once again you saved me, thank you so much for all your videos... I couldn't make the buttonhole mo matter what! I never sew before as my beloved mom did it for me but since I lost her 3+ years now, I decided to try and give it a go, to make my stuff like mum used to, but without her to guide me when I'm stuck was so hard. Your videos have saved me not only regarding sewing but also from my grief that she's no longer here to guide me and that I should have learned all while she was with us. However, now with your guidance am happy to say that I hope I make her proud and you as my teacher... thank you with all my heart! XxxX
💕🌷you’re very welcome and very kind. I’m so sorry for your loss and you’re in a like minded community. When I lost my mum 5 years ago, I was lost for a while and my friend suggested I take up sewing again - but as a teacher. Bizarrely, I don’t remember teaching her but when I think about it - I made tons of schools costumes for all of the schools my children were at but never really thought about it. They were just what parents do. But I took it on as therapy when my mum left us and ever since I’ve met so many of us who use sewing to reconnect with people we love and miss. My mum was a crafty lady (in many sense of the word) and I quietly laugh at the mistakes I make - thinking how she would probably would be laughing with me. It’s okay - it’s rubbish to lose a loved one and I hope you can grow like me, into this. Keep smiling - I’m sure she’s very proud of you - and keep asking - we are all learning together, in one big sewcial community. Xx
Thank you so much for your tutorial and the details about the settings and pressing the buttonhole lever back! I looked through the singer manual and their videos and nowhere did I see that last detail, so I kept coming up with knots of thread. You’ve saved my sanity 🪡
Great tutorial! You have a really sweet voice and the different angles of the machine were very helpful
