hey, nice outro man! :D also the ariete is one of those things that. i'd rather never have to fight unless i'm in something like a Crusader or a MiG-21; it's so incredibly polarising. You stomp it or it stomps you. Also, I'd venture to disagree with the MiG-19 pick tbh, the damn Ariete snaps onto you so fast you don't have time to bleed its speed
I LOVE to play this plane but most of the time i have braindead teammates and against 5 missle bois with afterburners i cannot do much to win that game
Another thing to consider is that this thing doesnt have to risk your engine from overheating from excessive afterburner use, because its not an afturburner, just a 2nd engine lol.
Congrats on 11k now! I remember just a few months ago seeing you in game flying out the Netz with the boys and saying congrats on 5k subs;10k and now 11k in such little time is awesome to see!
Always fun to dogfight overconfident F-5Cs and MiG-19s in this thing - most people seem to massively underestimate her. Love it to bits (just a shame it has to fight 30G all aspects but you can pull hella hard to dodge them sometimes)
I would still say that F-5C is puting up a decent fight. Mig-19's are more of a case that it's hard to kill them if they play their cards right, but one mistake and their gone,. while ariete can make multiple mistakes and it will still be holding up. Tho it might be the fact that IO have the plane for only few days. Even A-10's with all aspects are not that big of a threat. Just keep an eye out for them, bait them into launchiong the missile from 3,4-3,6km away and notch it. Without them it's a free kill. Su-25 are more of a threat, cuz even if R-60 is worse than 9L, Su is much faster than A-10, so it's harder to gain distance over it.
@@niggalini On short range, yes. On medium range 9L with much longer burn time is way harder to energy trap than R-60. So on a plane that needs to hold its distance, I still think pL is more of a danger

I love to make F-5 players sweat with this, only the Shenyang can give it a hard time, but both premiums are uncommon, do to there're not meta, and have no fancy "extras".
Bought it last week, already have a 3kd in it, it is insane and surprises everyone. No one sees the plane frequently so they don't know how to fight it
Hey lee idk if you do challanges or anything but if you do you should do one on the Mirage F1C 200 (or the other F1Cs) only using the R530E and try to get 5 kills in a match!
As you said, r60s are annoying with this thing, but that cruise mussel engine will most of the time allow you to escape the r60s brick like acceleration lol
Actually got an Ace with this thing fairly easily in a match against a team that was half SU-25s, four of my kills were the 25s lol love this little plane
The Ariete is in a class of its own - where it can out-pull most missiles. I remember the Draken having the same ability (though the flight model change screwed it over)
Would gladly pick this thing up. Sadly with the GE pricing changes, this plane is now just a couple AU dollarydoos less than a rank 6 pack plane, without the bonus GE and premium time you get with the pack.
If I desperately need to go head on with Su-25 or A-10 and I don't have rockets or missiles I just drop my thrust to 0% and their all-aspects missiles can't lock on me. Then in a dogfight they are pretty much beatable.
The ariete even without counter measures is hella fun when used correctly, I had 1 match with it where I was going head on against an A-10 I turned the throttle All the way down and so the Aim9L that was fired missed me when I was going head on against the player And I got behind the player and wiped em out of the sky... (I know how angry that person's got to be)
Once had a fight with this in my 104A and no body scored any hits and the match just ended. It's an easy ace plane considering you're facing a lot of new players.
I play a good bit of italian jets, and the tech tree sagittario got added after i already got the g91ys. Would it be recommended to grind it out, or is the performance between the ariete and sag is like a night and day difference?
I love the camo! Also, is there a chance you will make a video on the J35D ? it has been put down to 10.3, even though it doesn't have flares, it's still playable with 4x AIM-9P which makes it very strong, considering it has more thrust than a F-104A, and a pretty solid mid-speed handling!
I've wanted this plane since it came out, but just honestly cant justify the price due to its place in the matchmaker, but it looks like so much fun to fly.
It is a great dogfighter but if the enemy like mig and f4 knows that they are doing, I don’t think you will have a good chance of winning, but if they decide to turn fight with you it’s a great possibility of winning:)
I bought a few chinese packs during the sale and thought about buying this with the GE I recieved from buying the packs, but I bought the TO-55 (would recommend if you're a ground player). Maybe i'll pick this up during the anniversary sales.

I got this thing a while back and boy, coming from having used the FGA9 and F5C for hundreds of matches each, these Hispanos need so little lead compared to those it's almost unreal. Haven't been playing jets quite as much as before though since I've been playing some ground RB and a lot of the Chinese Ki84 recently, but this vid might've convinced me to use the Ariete a bit more LOL

The ariete feels like a arcade plane cuz its so agile. I'm also wondering if the ariete could outpull missles like the aim9d, and aim9g or the aim9js reliably
I think this has the same issues with the Millan, It's really good plane it would have been the best place to play before lock-on but it was added too late !!!
General Lee, what are your thoughts on the newly proposed mechanic for Air battles? It feels like they will be reducing the overall reward by taking away the assist reward but at the same time discouraging kill steals, the usual you win some you lose some from Gaijin
There is no "win some lose some". Its all win. You still can get an assist. You wont get a full kill reward after you finished off a badly cripled plane (Severly damaged mechanic). If you dmg someone, but not enough to be "Severly damaged", it will be an assist if someone does finish it off. Not only that, but if you criple someone yet they dont crash before the game is over, you still get a kill count and rewards as if you killed it right off.
I would absolutely love to fly this plane, but I could never put myself through unlocking the italian tech tree, so I feel it would be a waste of money...

That's fair, the MiG-19 is certainly less agile. Just, the MiG-19 can choose to just keep going up if it wants, the ariete doesn't have that option...

If you can avoid 9Ls then the A10 is free as hell

I love this thing. I actually love full uptiers in it too. A10s and f5c's easily think they can kill you but NO! This noodle is slippery and deadly

R60 actually accelerates nearly immediately, it just burns for like 2 seconds and just inertia flies afterwards

aim9j's yes, aim9d and g not so much unless it pulls the opposite side right in the last moment.
