Woodstock 1969 - I was there... Some of my buddies and I decided the night before and we just went. I got there just in time to see the tall chain link fence go down...! I soon took a job selling hot dogs at a concession... all the food was gone in one hour. I made a small pay check for that. I saw a friend from my home town, Steven Tallerico who you will know as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith fame... He was in a very bad condition, if you know what I mean. The crowd continued to swell. I ran into a previous girlfriend and her sister who put me up in their tent. I stayed two or three days on then bummed a ride back to Westchester. I noticed a professional photographer on the stage take a shot in my direction just before I left and when the TIME Magazine special came out in December spotted my distant image although without enough facial details to convince anyone but myself.

My DJ friend saw how disappointed I ws and suggested I do something about it. I said I would. It was about 1:00 in the afternoon when he toldme do something. At midnight that night I was on the national news. I managed to pull off in just a few short hours a huge protest. Thousands of people showed up, and It went on for days; and spread to other cities. Unfortunatley I we were not sucessful and the Strawberry Fields Festival happened in Ontario. Awwww the 60's what a time.
but many of the people that were at Woodstock 69 are the same people who bought the lies of the American so-called Gov. they are a cult that is beyond belief rich and don't care about us except to control. society needs to stop blaming other objectives than individual attitudes.
That is the biggest crock of sh*t I've ever heard. To call 100,000 youths that went to a 3 day rock concert cultists is just plain stupid. You should educate yourself on the event b4 you judge and you just might learn a thing or two.😉✌

I wasn't at Woodstock. But I was definitely paying attention with WTF wonderment at it all. You did a very nice job in seven minutes describing what one million people did for three days over 40 years ago, "... it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness..."
I was about to say something similar. HK flu killed millions and we didn't have the kind of mass hysteria we see today in 2020. We've become brainwashed weaklings.
@@drewharrison1840 You're right Dtew. The HK and Asian flu pandemics were far worse and not comparable at all. Have you seen this? acu2020.org/english-versions/
@@paulwyns3502 The 1968 flu outbreak was associated with comparatively few deaths worldwide (about 100,000 in the United States with half the deaths among individuals younger than 65 years). People who had been exposed to the 1957 virus retained immune protection against the 1968 virus, this would explain the mildness of the 1968 outbreak. There was no social media in 1968 and most people were not aware of the severity of the outbreak.

I don't know people have changed so much. The world is not as kind as it used to be I an doing a comparison bonus Woodstock 69 and Woodstock 99 and the audience as well as the artists have lost sight if decorum of what respect and sensibility is.
How was the acid back then?
+Fèlix just the best...very strong
*****
Bet it was man.
Keep on rockin'

You’re over 1k subs. Hope you’re monetized! Great documentary!! 🌼
About as fair an assessment of the event as I have seen, good job!
I miss the 60's and 70's so much !
but many of the people that were at Woodstock 69 are the same people who bought the lies of the American so-called Gov. they are a cult that is beyond belief rich and don't care about us except to control. society needs to stop blaming other objectives than individual attitudes.
That is the biggest crock of sh*t I've ever heard. To call 100,000 youths
that went to a 3 day rock concert cultists is just plain stupid. You should educate yourself on the event b4 you judge and you just might learn a thing or two.😉✌
Feel like organising something like this in India at Polladpur India . Let's Re Live Life . Same Concept . 250 acre up and down . But wild. I'm sure it can be done.
Yeah and it's gonna be a bunch of pathetic horny guys and no girls at all😂
Fuck India🖕🏼
✌🏿&♥️🌈🎸🎼
@@tonyguillen3224 well Kolkata has the worlds largest bookfair with 2 million attending. Religious fair Kumbh Mela has 50 million attendees. None of these are men only, though men heavy. Thats a big cultural range. So pretty sure would be same for anything.
Hello Devon,Your video showed a lot of heart and soul. It conveyed the spirit of the teenybopper baby boomers of the period and their quest for a better society and social advancement through music and peace. Good job.
+Richard H. What happened to them all? Now they are nasty Liberals controlling all of us through Poliically Correct Behavior! Now , all of us have to suffer because of these selfish baby boomers!
some are. But do we need to allow this controlling ilk to affect us?
This is so cool. Coodles to you for making this video😊 You did an amazing job, especially for being so young
Everyone came in peace that’s what was sooo beautiful about it
There will never be such a time as this again .. once in a lifetime event.. Oh to have been there right?! Xo
I wished I could have experienced Woodstock 69 I have done extensive research on this I don't know somehow I feel kind of connected to I wasn't even born whenI don't know whether it's because I love the kind of music that was played therebut it seems like a event that I would have loved either way I know it sounds strange but I feel somewhat connected and since August 15th of 2020 is a 50th anniversary more than ever videos like this and others to preserve the history of Woodstock 69 peace and love ☮️☮️
i wish so badly that i was there
I am desperate to visit Bethel just to look out over the field, close my eyes and drift away. Whether I ever get there is another story.
Imagine all the time travellers that attended this event. Hopfully I was/will be one of them
at 3:16 my aerial from a helicopter was used without crediting my copyright. however, all in all the project is well done.
I was there with my friend Steve.Went back last year and still get excited just thinking about it.Nicejob kidddo
I didn't know Jim's dad from American Pie hosted Woodstock.
Eugene Levy is a fantastic comedic actor, appearing in tons of great films.
Eugene Levy actually played Max Yasgur in the 2007 film "Taking Woodstock"
Yes well this one time in band Camp......
We need another Woodstock to show peace and love and not hate
Trouble is we have let rhe rich takeover the world and what a fuck up they have made of it.
2 people died over the 3 days of Woodstock, 1 OD the other ran over by a tractor
True fact
Currently there is a thing known as "alternative facts".its a common phenomenon used by the current Presidency.
Hey Max like the guy who owned the farm !
You have to admit, out of 500,000 people, two deaths, considering both 60s drug use and 60s safety precautions, is pretty phenomenal
That is surprising Moscow 1991 monsters of rock had 56 deaths
I was only 6yrs old when this happened and every since I saw the movie I have loved the idea of being a part of that. Everyone says I am a flower child and I guess I am. I'm mellow and wear flowers in my hair. I don't like things that interrupt my daydreams of past years that will never be again. To all you who think like me, peace and love to you all.
Fuck your a cringe lord
who remembers Woodstock? now it's 2019. moody blues and Santana my favorite
On August 15th 1969 I entered the army at Fort Jackson SC...That was my Woodstock!!!
This make me want to turn hippie
from the time when i was young. time never forgotten, never to be relived, always remembered. till we to are the past, hoping to be remembered by the future.
5:14 "to our animal friends don't eat them"
love that!
The top of the sign was cut off. I have the same picture in a book. The sign said "Love your animal friends- Don't eat them".
It actually says, Make America Great Again !!
Gretel Rojas hippies r so nice :-)
@@203207ab No!
That is my personal favorite picture!💖
If I was born in the 50s and was old enough for woodstock, I'll do everything in my power to enjoy these 3 days.
Your list is missing Bert Sommer who played on Friday August 15th right after Richie Havens
Such a great short doco on Woodstock! Well done of all of your research. The video made me feel nostalgic and I wasn't even born until 30 years after the event took place.
Happy, Joyous , and Free
A good friend of mine was there. I was only 9 at the time but I do remember all the music then and after.
I turned 4 years old 4 days later. I was too young to drive.
LOVE the background music!
They were smoking more than weed there
LSD man!!
Hmm, they smoked LSD? Think they smoked a lot of grammar, lol ;)
Dose not matter they managed to fool you just like a sneak thief
They av more money than we do
Just hand it over we got a whole piles of interns that can pick this shit up
Woodstock Agust 18h 1969 ,Me hubise gustado mucho celebrar mi cumple, disfrutando mi dia en ese festival y su magia
Devon- good research ! I was there, and it was something fantastic. Next time, take more time telling us about it...don't talk as fast. I enjoyed listening
Kris Bowman man. U are lucky as hell. Hippies are cool. I'm from florida and I can't seem to find any cool hippie hangout spots
I wasn't at Woodstock. But I was definitely paying attention with WTF wonderment at it all. You did a very nice job in seven minutes describing what one million people did for three days over 40 years ago, "... it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness..."
This was during the 1969 Hong Kong Flu pandemic. I love their sense of social distancing. PEACE
I was about to say something similar. HK flu killed millions and we didn't have the kind of mass hysteria we see today in 2020. We've become brainwashed weaklings.
The two are hardly comparable. Come on dude.
@@drewharrison1840 You're right Dtew. The HK and Asian flu pandemics were far worse and not comparable at all. Have you seen this? acu2020.org/english-versions/
@@drewharrison1840 You are right. The wussies nowadays would be shitting their pants in fear. Propagandized zombies.
Woodstock 1969 el año que cambio el mundo con la música. Estampa Rock Colección, con amor por la música.
Woodstock 1969.. everyone enjoying, mosh pit, purely fun, rock and roll🤘
Woodstock 2019. Standing like a log, holding phones, records the concert, taking selfies and phone dies, goes home, reviews concert and deletes video.
this was so a school project that someone got a ton of views on😂😂
8/15 /69 was 17 -8/18/69 my 18 biethday and I was enjoying that weekend in the Bay Area Thanks for sharing this video que tiempos aquellos !
Good documentary, definitely worth a thumbs up.
you vote to re elect trump go to rehab moron
the worst pres next to bush and obama
I was born in 1957. I was too young for WS but we took a trip up there after the concert. We saw some hippies. 😀
you're happy guy
Three days condensed to under 10 minutes - but why feature a song from 1971 (Baba O'Reily by The Who) ?
I was there tonight....O.A.R.!!! Terrific performance. BTW: Few people here in Bethel were opposed to it. I was here then and I've been back now for several years.
Jimmy Lester I went through there a month ago...was 18 in ‘69.lived about 2 hrs away...but did not go...a beautiful serene place now...can’t imagine what it must have been like around the time of the festival...50 years ago next August...where did the years go?
My grandfather made money to since they we're sleeping on his farm.
Michelle Zito lol lies
@@ryanlengacher what farm? Where? Name of your grandfather?
My grandfather missed my father's birth for being in woodstock, my father now understand him.
We need a Woodstock 2019 .
Place = TEXAS. On a 200 acre farm.
I don't know people have changed so much. The world is not as kind as it used to be I an doing a comparison bonus Woodstock 69 and Woodstock 99 and the audience as well as the artists have lost sight if decorum of what respect and sensibility is. Yes it is Rock and Roll and by all means have fun. Do not trample each other. Rape stab and kill each other do not try and take the band members instruments or tear apart the sets. One does not have to behave like a rabid dog inorder to have fun
I just returned from Viet Nam back then. It was just about impossible to get there. But although that I no longer have the long hair, the movement still lives in me today.
Good to hear, keep the faith and thanks for your service.
The word was out that the state police seeded the clouds hoping to rain the"hippies"out. But to no avil.
