You deserve a You Tube academy award for the quality and content of your videos. Further you have a gift for simplifying technical concepts. My wife and I have been full time nomads for 7 months. The learning curve has been so much easier thanks to you.
I'm from Brazil and I speak Portuguese, but I 'm an English student and I love watching your videos to improve my listening skills. In spit of you speak very fast I'm able to understand almost everything you say because you have an amazing pronuciation. Keep up doing these videos because they help us to learn English. I wish you a fantastic 2020!
Thank you.
Jared, In the past few months I have watched many of your videos, and thought I'd share a couple of observations. First, your capabilities and knowledge is really impressive. Second, you (and your bride) are compellingly credible, with personalities that are equally compelling. These, alone make you "go-to" for information that I trust. Thanx!
I bought this back in December... It powers three can lights, tv, waterr pump and fridge (12v)... Love it. The only complaint is that the 12v car outlet died right away... Ended up using a plug in inverter that works just fine...Fast charging and lasts for about two days for me with normal use.
Thanks for the review!! I am impressed by RUNNING THE HF WELDER! WILL CONSIDER ONE OF THESE !!
I'm sold. Charges in a couple hours. Only 800 cycles though.
but it's not dead after 800 cycles. it has 60%(?) capacity left. A LiFePO4 has 80% left after around 3000 cycles
My understanding is the reason it has so few cycles is due to the super fast charging, which is one of the main reasons I purchased it.
Excellent review! Always balanced advantages and weaknesses create trust in your reviews!
Looking forward to the videos that you mentioned!
I like the idea of using for an instapot or was thinking for my laptop 👩🏻💻. Thanks for the review and information.
Making it the main power source. But of course I have to regulate on which appliance I’ll use.
Appreciate all the information you provide in this video. I will put this on my possible option when we get on the road later this year.
Another good video ! I love you watching your reviews! You have inspired me to start making videos myself! :)
Do you have an opinion on the RV Manufacturer “Outdoors RV.” I love how you research everything so thoroughly and trust your opinions.
I researched them and bought a Nash from the sister co. NORTHWOOD mfg. who also makes the Arctic Fox. They both have the same offroad frame made in Oregon, strong cabinets, 4 season rated w/heated tank compartment, 2" sidewalls and thicker storage doors, walk on roof. The Lance is good too but Outdoorsrv would be one of my top 3 recommendations. I do wish I had dual pane windows to help with condensation. I hope that helps :)
Got mine coming in Feb, deal on site now is you get the delta and river too for under 1200. Great review of the product. I've done my research as well and feel the ecoflow Delta is a better buy then a goal zero yetti 1400.
Did you get river 370 with the Delta? Thanks
@@danelam8170 no it was a deal that got me the ecoflow Delta and the river power bank module. (The stacking one). Very happy with it too, it has two USB and 2 USB type C. Even more happy with the delta. Have it working off 200 watt solar. I haven't used shore power at all to recharge the battery and I use the delta to charge the river bank. Thank God for sun filled days in Arizona! Overall very happy. Great review of product 👍
@@joeystephany5245 Thank you for the reply. Good information. I'm looking to power a small 450 watt A/C in an off grid cabin while charging with solar. Waiting to hear back from EF support on whether this will work or not.
Great video... Thank you. Would love more on solar power w/RV's
This works great when you pull into a rest stop
If you want to start your microwave or whatever without having to power up the generator, keeping a small hearter going not having to hear your propane heater blower kicking
On n off all night which really sucks, and being to having a bed warming blanket thats my reason for buying it.
It looks like an awesome product, but I totally agree with the limited battery capacity.
It's inline with other units like this so what are you comparing it to?
Thanks, you always do great videos.
We are RV newbies and don't know a lot about how to do much with RV's. But we are learning by watching your videos and others too. We are going to buy a used Pleasure-Way Class B. We would like to put a couple of solar panels on the top for power in the evenings or when we are stopped for a day or so. (We like to keep on the move and don't do campgrounds much at all. I love this product, though it is quite pricey. Would we be able to hook it up and have it charge while we are running down the road? I know you were talking about the 4 fans, so it would have to be out in the open for ventilation. Would this be all we'd need besides the solar panels and the wires to the unit? I also want to tell you that you are so helping so many people with all your videos!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
It has a charging cord for using in a typical 12v plug so you can charge it while driving. It will be a slower charge so the fans probably won’t even turn on.
I own one of these Delta 1300s, and I think you did a very good job covering the pros, cons and to expect from a battery power solution.
Thank you! I’ve been super impressed with it!
Thanks for the thorough review. aH and price would make the difference.
So, I heard you mention that at you plugged it directly into your RV. This is what Im looking to do. I have a small RV with a 30 amp plug and would use this to power my RV plugs, lights, run a cooler, a fan, charge electronics, and keep my RV battery charged while boondocking for 2-3 days. Do you think this would be a feasible solution?
Also when drawing at higher C rate like with the space heater (~1 C) you will also reduce the amount of usable power. If you were drawing at 0.2 C which in this case is around 250 watts you will get much closer to the rated capacity.
Performs well when new but after just 600 recharges the capacity drops to only 60%. I would want to see the weak cells identified on the panel & replaceable by the consumer at reasonable cost.
That’s not a bad idea. If it had a 3,000 plus life cycle I wouldn’t worry about it. We will see what manufacturers produce in the future
That would be a great option.
@@AllAboutRVs 12:51 Isn't there one that can do this? (ADD more Batteries) I have 1,100 AMP Hours of batteries and want to add a Solar Gen to it to be able to take some of it with me...
Thank you for another great and extremely helpful video!!! Quick question though, does it have a pure sine inverter?
Yes, I believe it is. Watch Will Prowse DIY channel on RUclips. He has an excellent 31 min. review on this unit it where he points out alot of key factors. Both positive and negative and reviews it objectively.
Great review! - Interesting product.
It has LiFePO4 battery inside for sure? Should have more than 800 charge cycles - no?
Nope it’s powered by Lithium 18650’s hence the lower charge cycles

I actually participated in the crowd funding campaign and purchased 2 units.

I just purchased this one and I know there are more powerful stations available but just for being able to provide power to all the outlets I really don't need anything heavier to lug around. You mention connecting this to the 30 amp outlet with an adapter. As long as I am not using it run my air or microwave, is there any issue with doing this?
Hey, I like your videos; found you from #keepurdaydream. Good presentation on this. You bring a welder with you on the road?!
You mentioned the Delta could be used for whole RV power, but you would not recommend it. You also mentioned bypassing EMS which I didn’t understand. Could you explain this further? One use we would have for a power station is to power our tv/dvd player after generator hours. The easiest way to accomplish that would be to plug the RV into the power station. Thanks for all the great videos!
Thank you, great question. My preference would be to not let it sit outside in the elements or outside for some one to want to snatch and run is one of the big reasons I chose to just plug our tv and DVD player directly into the unit. There will also be small (parasitic) draws on it including trying to charge your Rv house batteries when you plug the whole Rv into it. As far as bypassing the EMS is depending on if your RV has one which is a device that protects your Rv electrical from harm when you plug it in to different sources. A good EMS will catch that this device doesn’t have a ground neutral bond or really a ground. I cover that in our EMS surge protector video as it’s the same code that will come up for most inverter generators. ruclips.net/video/z-ATOr25oxs/видео.html I hope that helps. When we watched TV on it we just unplugged the power strip from the wall and plugged it into the Delta. It was fairly simple
Inergy Apex has the proper RV plug built into the unit
You should be able to plug your RV 30a into this with the 15a converter plug that everyone uses to plug into a house outlet. I have used my delta on 3 different RVs with no problem to power the whole camper. Keep your total wattage demands in check, just like you would if you were plugging that same 30a to 15a cable into wall power.
Very well done.
A solar panel can arguably be called a generator, the power station is just a battery bank/inverter.
Anxiously awaiting your portable end to end solar solution for the technically challenged. The fridge in my RV is 110v. Would like an option that would power that off grid. Lots of BLM (free camping) land in NV. You have a target date for the new videos?
You can go over 400 watts of solar if you want, but it will just use up to 400 watts and not use the rest. You can over-panel for shady days.
Hi Jared, hooking external batteries seems like a good idea, but technically very challenging as the batteries would need to be matched, and of the same chemistry. The risks wouls be huge to cause damage. Just my 2 cents...
The Inergy Apex seems to be able to do that
Hi Jarrett Just wondering after 13 months review what you think now
I was wondering if there is a way to power the 12V portion of our travel trailer. I want to mostly power the lights. Do you have any idea of how to accomplish this?
My first thought would be to try and use the 12 volt out of the Delta and connect it to your 12 volt system but the simple solution with a little more loss could be to plug the converter into the Delta. The newer RVs have been changing over to converters, for the 12 volt side, to be simply plugged into a standard 120volt 15 amp outlet. So when you’re off grid unplug it from the normal receptacle and plug it into the Delta. It will use the Delta to charge the RV batteries and power the 12volt things like lights.
Can I charge this with the alternator while I am driving while I have something hooked up to it?
Another great review! Thanks
I was wondering what your thoughts on 12 volt TVs are.
good job...
great video! thanks, new subbie.
what interested me the most is the fast charging, to 80% in the first hour? while, could you tell how much noise is the fan running during being charged? and how fast is the charging from DC-12V car's alternator?
because I would like to use this in Van living, that's not only occasional use, but almost every single day, I do van camping in the urban area, for most of sunny days I can get power from solar, but if get rainy days, can I bring this unit into a Starbucks? because it's at 30lbs still lightweight easy to carry, enjoy a coffee and wifi with computer staying at Starbucks for an hour and charge this unit together? hopefully the fan noise is minimum at tolerable level by the Starbucks environment? I definitely don't want to be kicked out if this Delta charging is over noisy;
Would anyone recommend this for full time Van living? especially when in occasional need to be charged in a coffee shop (or similar places)
Dude, I have the EcoFlow River Power Station! It rocks!
@@glowblank17 the River is completely different product, that's for 500W max? not as powerful as Delta1300 to power electric kettles and many other up to 1800W appliances
I recall reading the fan noise is 50dB at 6 feet so it's not that big of a deal.
Is it “nitch” or “neesh”? (Pronunciation). Just wondering cuz I’ve been saying “neesh” (niche) for 25 years! 😆
This is a little off subject but I have a "solar ready" unit. What solar panels would you recommend for this purpose ?
I would recommend checking the size of the wire and what it is rated for to see what your options are for. There are so many good panels out there but you could take a look at the Renogy panels. They have performed well for us. amzn.to/36bxz8f
I'm a newbie at all this however would this devices be a good addition to a RV that has a generator however it does not include an inverter so the TV, lights, and electrical plugs won't work. I realize this would be limited however it would make my generator more useful when power is out. Good or bad idea?
So a no brainer for a C-Pap machine correct? And what is the advantage of one of these vs just buying a Battleborn or similar lithium battery?
It's an all in one solution. So no need for purchase of a charge controller and inverter.
Jared did you get this early through KickStarter, as I got in early and pre-purchased the Delta along with Panels and have yet to receive it. US delivery was Dec, then update said Jan, well almost mid January...Thanks
Anybody knows It’s work fine with the Dometic CFX fridge conected to 12v outlet? I read that it has a shutdown timer and just shutdown after 30 mins. True or not?
Can i add a extra ecoflow delta battery to it?
At 15 min you said you had it connected to the entire RV but probably not a good idea because you would "need to bypass the EMS", what do you mean? I have a small travel trailer with minimal power requirements and thinking about getting this type of battery to supplement the current battery and wondered if I could use this type of battery like "shore power" so that the trailer's 12V and 110V outlets are powered, just like when connected to shore power.
In this video I talk about what it is to make a plug for generators to let your EMS detect a Ground Neutral bond, but that won't work for this unit because it has no ground connection in the plugs.ruclips.net/video/z-ATOr25oxs/видео.html This unit I think is better used keeping it inside and plugging whatever you want to use directly into it.
Yes, it would be drawing from the Delta's inverter using your RV's 110v adapter connected to the RV's 30 amp (or 50 amp) shore power chord. Then you don't have to plug anything else into the Delta, and you will have access to all of your RV's 110v system. BUT, you can only use up to 1800 watts at a time- fridge on gas=30w, RV Converter/charger= 200w(or less if charged), TV=150, laptop=40w, phone(wifi hotspot)=40w, sound system=150, lights (LED) 100w; for a total of 710w or 7amps/hour. Delta has about 100 amp hours so you could power the RV for about 12 hours. Then you would only have access to the house batteries and their capacity to run the 12v system only, until the recharge of the Delta using the solar panels at about 800 wh per day if you have 3 panels and good sun. All in all, a great off grid solution with carefully budgeted 110v usage.
How does it compare with the Patriot Power Battery?
What make and model is your RV? I love the white interior...did it come that way or did you remodel?
We have a 2004 forest river Sierra fifth wheel and we completely renovated it by painting the cabinets and the walls, redid the flooring, removed the couch and replaced with a recpro couch, and built a new dining table with benches.
All About RV's Have you ever done a video tour of the inside of your rig and talked about the upgrades you talk about here?
Yes they have. Just need to go through all the videos. Lots of good info in all of them.
Are you still using it?
I real enjoy your videos ... Thanks , Look at DIY Solar power with Will Prowse youTube channel , He did a review on this unit and got deep down into the working of it , Like he does with all his testings on batteries and things,
Well done. :-))) :-)))
A little to pricey for me. Not sure how or when I would use it. Right now my small generator works just fine.
I saw you plug the delta in you 30Amp. I was thinking of the same thing. Is it okay? Operating the tv with the surround sound system in my RV.
It should work this way, as the RV's Converter would run everything required at a usage of about 200 watts or 6 hours capacity. You would need some solar panels or a gas generator to recharge, and due to the fast charger capability of the Delta, get enough power to run the RV during evenings.
Thank you.
So can I still use my goal zero 200 W briefcase solar panels with Andersen connectors to charge this thing?
You would have to make an adapter but yes they will work
You would have to adapt it to a XT60 connector
Can this charge a spark ev car for a few miles? I was looking for a way to extend the range on it at least a bit.
It probably could I believe it would not be that much, I thought some one added 7 miles to a Tesla.
Why was the last 20 a half hour when the first 80 1 hour
Because that's how Li Ion batteries charge and the will get hot and this will slow the charge further down.
I wanna get one but I heard its noisey
I’ve always wondered how these can be called a generator. They don’t generate even one ion of electricity. They are only an energy storage and distribution unit. I’m not putting down this particular brand or model. They all do it.
Marketing at its best - they say it is a SOLAR generator, so theoretically yes, when you hook up a 15-60 volt array of solar panels (up to 400W), the combination "GENERATES" power. Sneaky seductive for the average consumer, upsetting for the electronic technician or engineer!!!
CPAP USING HUMIDIFIER ?
I second this.... need to see what would work with a CPAP thru the night....
This would have no problem with a CPAP machine for a night but to run it with a humidifier at the same time it would depend on the type. Cool mist usually draw less than warm mist. It can definitely do it as far as being powerful enough the question is the capacity. If you already have the specific cpap and evaporator I would run it one night on the Kill-A-Watt meter to see if it would be over the 1040 watt hour draw for a night.
Yes.. looking to run CPAP on kill-a-Watt that way I know kwH..... trying to decide if a 'battery pack' or a 12v transformer is the better plan..... but thanks for a great review!
I tested mine with the humidifier for the past 3 nights and it runs mine for 2 1/2 nights for 8- 10 hours per night without a solar panels.
I ran my cpap W/humidifier for 10 hours and it used about 50%, it will recharge here in the Sonoran desert of AZ with the 110w panel. great product IMO.
Does it have a pure sine wave inverter in it?
Yes
Will it run my air conditioner and my coffee maker? 👎
Coffee maker for sure but the capacity is not big enough for a AC to work more than 1-2 hours.
Only 800 cycles versus 3000 cycles? Yep, sticking with my Jackery. Thumbs up on your video (as always) but thumbs down on the Delta 1300.
Jackery 160, 240 and 500 all advertise ≥500 cycles to 80%. Which Jackery is spec'd for 3,000 cycles?
@@atatistcheffs exactly
Sure, with either unit if you're connecting to lower power consuming devices and charge sloooowly, you may even get 5,000 cycles!
Whats the warantee?
2 years
But can the batteries be changed?
Down sides of this product. If it gets warm it thottles the charge rate . Consumers service sucks. If you do over heat it will take about an hour before you can charge. Very low life cycle
Customer support is nonexistent. Really bad. Makes me wish I have ever ordered one
