When I do research on a product, I always watch the review videos and I've got to say, of all of the videos I've seen over the years, yours is the best I've ever seen! You've explained clearly and understandably all the features as well as the shortcomings. I love the idea of this product, but because of those straps--not just the thin shoulder straps, but the one that cuts into the throat and the fact that there's no stabilizing strap around my tummy, it just won't work for me. But thanks to your video, I can see that and don't have to go through the purchase and return process. I'm about 5' 3" ish, my dog is also 17 lbs and my hope with the carrier was to make quick trips to the grocery store without leaving her home alone or if we go to the airport, she's up in the air and not being stepped on or having wheeled suitcases rolling over her feet. Thank you so much for all the work you've put into your videos, I really appreciate it!
Just received our Pack 2 and I have to agree about the straps. My pup likes it but way to uncomfortable for me and I can’t even imagine on how uncomfortable it will be wearing a winter jacket, even if it’s possible.
Such a good video. Thank you for making this! By the companies size chart, it made no sense. By measurement, my frenchies should be in a small but by breed it says size large.
My dog is also 17” long and I’m torn on whether or not I should get the small or medium. I know you used the block with the medium, but how did she fit in the small size?
The small is too small...once you get it on your back with them loaded in, you can feel the tightness and we didn't feel like it would be comfortable....its secure but didn't look comfortable to us...the medium with the block or towel installed is a better fit even though it is a little big, it's not tight.
I got one for short hikes for my French Bulldog and it's total garbage for hiking and the paws always get in the way when putting the pack on your back, definitely need two people. Noticeable when the intro shows the lady putting the pack on her back they edit it as she's lifting it and all of a sudden it's on her back using a jump cut edit.
We haven't had any concerns... Its more like they are standing on their feet than sitting on the end of their spine...she will not really move around and is very relaxed when in the bag
Quick question. I just watched Taurus G2 recoil spring video and I know it's four years old. Did you end up getting a lakeline steel rod recoils spring set?
If your dog is not very tall I would go with a small, the new medium size has a lot more space now than the original med. If you go medium you'll definitely want to buy the additional riser blocks. Check out our Nailed or Failed Reviews Amazon Storefront, it has all the links you'll need for the bags and the foam blocks....thanks for watching - links.nailedorfailedreviews.com/norfk9sportsackamazonstore
Yes you can... It's not the most comfortable setup. Their face will probably be right in front of your face/chin area if you wear it that way and you'd need a second person to snap closed the sternum strap on your back.. but I bet they would like it for extra snuggles 🐶
Is there an stability for them to stand on…or it’s made for them to rest on the hind end and not stand…what about breathability? .. how long can the dogs travel this way because it looks uncomfortable for the animal…and no waist strap…
Yes I have but it's not possible to get it in a position where the sternum strap would be lower. We tighten the main straps up once she's on our back and it is very tight that when you're on the bike bent over it gets even tighter. The only fix would be if the company changed the whole sternum strap setup so it extended much farther down the backpack shoulder straps.
It seems to be fine... It's like they are doing the sit pretty.. The pressure is on their legs but also the back of the pack supports them... My dogs loves it and just lays back when riding in the pack. Bigger dogs may have a problem, but small dogs seems to do just fine
What a good girl your dog is!!! Thanks for the information!!

Awesome video. It's quite useful for me. My cavalier is around 17in and looks in same size with Angel. I will go for a medium bag.
Thanks. I'm in the UK. My dog is the same size and weight as yours. I will go for the Medium.
Thank you for the thorough review!!

Same here! I have a cavalier and it says should get small but I'm also thinking medium for extra space.., what'd you buy?
8 kilo westie. I'm not sure whether to get small or medium. ?

Is this an appropriate posture for a dog to be resting on it's lower spine? Any concerns?
We haven't had any concerns... Its more like they are standing on their feet than sitting on the end of their spine...she will not really move around and is very relaxed when in the bag
Quick question, what kind of dog breed is that? We have the same one but no idea what breed he is
Onde tem esse k9 aqui no Brasil?
Amei.
Quero comprar.
Como faço?

What do you think would be best foe an 8 kilo westie? Small?

The link to purchase is "not valid"... do you have a better link? ONe where we can use your 10% code?
Would you think the small would be fine for my chihuahua or would it still be too big?
The small probably would be a good fix for a chihuahua..have fun
Can you wear this in the front? Not for biking but just for carrying them around a bit.
Yes you can... It's not the most comfortable setup. Their face will probably be right in front of your face/chin area if you wear it that way and you'd need a second person to snap closed the sternum strap on your back.. but I bet they would like it for extra snuggles 🐶

Have you tried any of their other more expensive backpacks?
No we haven't....this bag suited us because we bike and hike a lot with the dog and the fabric is very durable.
Have you tried wearing the backpack higher so the sterner strap rides lower and more comfortable?
Yes I have but it's not possible to get it in a position where the sternum strap would be lower. Can someone answer to how their legs do sitting on their weight? It just doesnt seem comfortable for them idk

It is safe to seduce the dog 1st before puting on the back pack?

Hahaha too bad
