@slavetoreznor As I said say whatever you like. You can make a song your "own" without having to create a completley different song. Look at how Nirvana covered "the man who sold... " and "where did you sleep", turnaround , immigrant song etc... I agree Foxy shazam is the best cover, and that cover resembles both the energy and song

Most of the covers from newermind were kind of boring in my opinion, with this and the amanda palmer polly cover being my favorites. Smells was the worst cover, partly because it was the worst song on the original album.
It sounds ok, but I don't think the point of covering someone's song is to completely rewrite it so that it's unrecognizable. That's seems more like plagiarism than celebrating someone else's creation. Just write your own song.
