This slaps. I saw Foxy Shazam open up for Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators back in 2012 and I thought they were whack. This, however, is amazing. They kept true to the original while adding a theatrical twist to it. Really cool!
i come back and listen to this so often because it’s genuinely great. it’s an unexpected take on this song and it makes me appreciate both bands that much more. i honestly think Kurt would’ve gotten a kick outta this version.
My favorite band of all time covering my 2nd favorite band of all time. They could not have chosen anyone better to cover a song from a band so meaningful to so many. Eric Nally. Excellent fucking work.
Guys... A cover is done the way the ARTIST that covers the song wants it to be done, and it can be any genre. So shut up with your "wtf, omg, lol, for the love of god..." just do better if you can, this is a piece of fucking art.
@KikeAdict Yes, I have heard Nirvana and am a fan. And yes, I also like this. Just because it does not sound like a clone of the original does not mean it cannot be a good song. They took a Nirvana song and made it in their style of music and I prefer that to a band trying to sound exactly like the original. If I wanted to hear that then I would just listen to the original. I respect a band that can take a song that I previously liked and make it their own and for it to still be good.
I know I can never speak for him and this might be more my image of Kurt than the actual Kurt Cobain, but I could totally see Kurt loving this because its fucking weird as hell and feels very honest about it and Kurt loved that kinda shit!
I'm sure Kurt would have liked this I think he would be glad to hear different takes on his music, I'm sure he wouldn't want every band to sound exactly like Nirvana, wheres the fun in that.
This is actually quite good, especially when compared to the rest of the albums covers. But standalone it is actually a damn fine cover. Sounds like a Mr. Bungle or Mark Ronson production.
8 years late but: Eric nally get up in Cincinnati, he was 1 of 2 white kids a predominantly black school. At his school "hey, those are foxy shazam!" Meant "those are cool shoes!" Just a reference to his childhood.
What? That's the worst example I've ever heard. This is a cover version, Ice Ice Baby just used a looped part of Under Pressure and none of the words....so therefore not a cover version in anyway what so ever.
I'm not a fan, personally ._. I do however appreciate that it's not a carbon copy of the original; but damn, there's good covers and bad covers. in my opinion The Vaselines, Meat Puppets, Amanda Palmer, Jessica Mayfield, EMA and Charles Bradely and The Menahn Street Band were the only outstanding contributors to this album. Perhaps some of those names didn't change much, but they all kept it enjoyable. I've been hearing Foxy Shazam, Surfer Blood and Titus Andronicus put forward the best covers on this album, and it pains me to say, especially in the case of Titus Andronicus (as I really love a lot of their work,) that that statement is just so undoubtedly and horrendously untrue, at least in my opinion :/ and the covers of Come As You Are and In Bloom, were inexcusable. Of course, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but I simply cannot fathom how the covers mentioned in the latter have received as much positive feedback as they have; or at the very least, how the former are hardly given any love let alone appreciation in comparison.
It's very rare when someone does Nirvana half as well as Nirvana. Very well done.
this really is the best cover on the album. i am blown away.

Foxy Shazam + Nirvana = YES YES YES.
This is fantastic. It's like Queen covering one of my favorite Nirvana songs.
Praise this man!
foxy shazam is essentially the rebirth of queen
@@Yourantsally No. I like Foxy Shazam
one of the best covers on this album, along with butch walker's in bloom, its probably my favorite
I truly feel that Kurt would have loved this. Eric Nally is SO weird and out there. I love him, and I know that Kurt would have also.
This song is great
Eric Nally is fantastic and this cover is awesome. Thank you Foxy Shazam.
i come back and listen to this so often because it’s genuinely great. it’s an unexpected take on this song and it makes me appreciate both bands that much more. i honestly think Kurt would’ve gotten a kick outta this version.
this is super rad!!!!!!! i love it!!!!! Foxy Shazam made this there own
My favorite covers on the album are Drain You and Polly.
Coming from a huge fan of Nirvana : This cover is really good. I don't know Foxy Shazam at all, but the singer's got a great voice.
My favorite band of all time covering my 2nd favorite band of all time. They could not have chosen anyone better to cover a song from a band so meaningful to so many. Eric Nally. Excellent fucking work.
So creative. Love it.
Man the ending is brutal, this is the best song by far .
A fucking great cover.
Effin' beautiful.

Wow, i really like this cover!

Foxy Shazam is Awesome
I love it. It's different.
this sounds alot like queen.
Fantastiche!!!
T.Andronicus, Surfer Blood and these dudes TOTALLY nailed their fu$#in songs...Epic sh$@!!!
I like this more than the original.
I know I can never speak for him and this might be more my image of Kurt than the actual Kurt Cobain, but I could totally see Kurt loving this because its fucking weird as hell and feels very honest about it and Kurt loved that kinda shit!
I would have hated this when I was sixteen. Now I love it. That's gotta be progress, eh?
the only song on this album that may actually be better than the original, i gotta go download some Foxy Shazam
I'm sure Kurt would have liked this I think he would be glad to hear different takes on his music, I'm sure he wouldn't want every band to sound exactly like Nirvana, wheres the fun in that.
this was fuckin amazing.
Esto es hermoso....no creo poder escuchar algo tan hermoso de nuevo
The best cover
I like this better than the original, because it's just so fun!
@rpetriniful lol the name comes from Eric (lead singers) old school. The kids used to call cool shoes "Foxy Shazam"
beautifull.
love it
Gran Cover, el final es una salvajada, grupazo.
I think covers do justice when they DO NOT DEPLETE THE MELODY!
Sounds like Queen covering Nirvana. DAMN!
T.Andronicus, Surfer Blood and these dudes TOTALLY nailed their fu$#in songs...
@poop jones - well said dude!
AN ACTUALLY GOOD NIRVANA COVER WTF
I really love this version. Something tells me that Kurt would have been proud of it
@twerkinoff Totally right. Just think of Nirvana did their covers...
I have always really hated Foxy Shazam, but this is brilliant.
there's something Queen, something emo-hardcore, something post-2000, something Foxy Shazam
Where can I see this live ??? Please !!!
Awesome.
favorite

What happened to the rest of this album, you can’t find it anymore
Dat ending
Sounds like something David Bowie, Ian Hunter or Queen would do. I like it.
@spidersoma i totally agree. i love this though. their name is also foxy shazam. Why. oh why. would you name a band foxy shazam.....
8 years late but:
Eric nally get up in Cincinnati, he was 1 of 2 white kids a predominantly black school. At his school "hey, those are foxy shazam!" Meant "those are cool shoes!"
Just a reference to his childhood.
That trumpet fuckin rips.
hey song, i like you
Foxy Shazam shits excellence
@devilsduecincy right on
@twerkinoff AMEN!!
💖
fuckin love it
@woodc261 Isn't that what they just did?
at first no, then yes. Nice cover.
yes, i would mind
When is Foxy going to cover Queen!?!?!
Nice
FUCKING LOVE IT! sounds kinda like.. Glee ! LOOOL! but I fucking love it!
Dig it, I do
"This dosnt sound like the original so it sucks" like saying ice ice baby sucks since it dosnt sound like under pressure
+Beer Chely but ice ice baby does suck, and it ripped off an artist that's actual good.
I jam to ice ice baby once in a blue moon just to hear it, but I pray to queen everyday so its all good
@@stocker812 That first part is your opinion, and it wouldnt ve a rip off had he given credit. But he didnt. Unfortunately
Ice ice baby just sucks
What? That's the worst example I've ever heard. This is a cover version, Ice Ice Baby just used a looped part of Under Pressure and none of the words....so therefore not a cover version in anyway what so ever.
In my opinion, blows the original outta the water
zzPinkTacozz37 funny cause Nevermind's cover was underwater
@einbischen dude! jeff the brotherhood was the best!
OMG...
Is this a live cover or a studio recording?
Sounds like live studio. Like whole band recording once
i would mosh to this...
I'm not a fan, personally ._. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so fuckin foxy
Eric sounds like Herbert from Family Guy at the beginning.
Its not a cover, its a different song with the same lyrics.
nothing left to say.
I wonder what The Flaming Lips would've done with this song?
dope af right kids?
🙃
Foxy Shazam are so weird. in a good way.
:)
how can it receive all of these likes?
that's fucking ridiculous!
has someone heard nirvana?
Yeah, I hate Queen. And I have an automatic disdain for Nirvana covers.
But I absolutely love this.
song. -_-
@KikeAdict Yeah, that's why I liked it. They managed to take something Kurt Cobain did and made it good.
Wait that's a guy?
Herbert the pervert?
what?
duke3478 He doesn't sound anywhere close,
joke fail dude
quite the feminine voice..
I love Nirvana and Foxy Shazam to death... but he sounds like Herbert the Pervert. Sorry, Eric.
The fuck?
not a fan of this cover LOL
