The value of everything depreciates with time, but real estate (buildings/Flats even dilapidate scrapable buildings) prices appreciate manifold with passage of time. Cement concrete, Iron rods etc. materials used in building construction get old, lose strength but still then the building prices always appreciate. Even if you consider the increase in the land price, usually most of the land on which these buildings are constructed are leased out land for a limited period of time. And this price appreciation in real estate happens in spite of many new buildings are being constructed everyday on a continuous basis. Environment and ecosystem is compromised. One one fellow have 50 naami and benaami properties. Many others do not have a single property. WHY ? Is it due to politicians ?
The Union Finance Minister is the custodian of our life savings deposited in banks. She can\t just squander away this money on the willful defaulters (crooks). If India is not a lawless banana republic … 1) Considering the present precarious financial condition of our country, money embezzlement, FEMA violations, Money Laundering/Siphoning from the country to overseas destinations, taking a loan and not returning it, Willful Default etc Financial Crimes should be considered as TREASON. A law has to be enacted to this effect. 2) India, as a sovereign republic, must tell unequivocally all those countries which are harbouring Indian fugitives to repatriate to India those individuals along with all their loot money otherwise our overall ties with those countries will suffer. If Indian government does not think about the financial and legal good health of India, then who else will ? 3) If India is not a lawless banana republic, it has to enforce its law on these willful defaulters (crooks) and not saddle its middle class with any further tax burden. Middle class revolution will be very dangerous for everybody. 4) The Union Finance Minister’s/RBI’s circular to Indian Banks to negotiate with these willful defaulters (crooks) outside the purview/jurisdiction of Indian Law will encourage further limitless loot of our financial system by these crooks, thereby collapsing the India economy. This will also encourage the current law-abiding citizen to flout the law. Can the Government control this middle-class uprising and disobedience? 5) 12 moths cooling off period for these crooks is bullshit. This has to be withdrawn immediately. No further loan must be given to these crooks. Rather they should be black listed in India. 6) No haircuts with our tax money. Kisse bhi ho aur Kaise bhi ho humara tax se diya hua loan ka paisa woosul karo. Anshuman Ji your explanation about a WILLFUL DEFAULTER is no correct. A willful defaulter is the one who does not return his loan and the due interest inspite of having sufficient funds to repay. He is basically a criminal and a crook who wants to loot the Bank and NBFC.
