Nice sailboat you bought ! Great layout, very sturdy and pretty sure it does very well in stiff winds. You guys will enjoy the heck out of it and at least, you got a vessel that is a great start. It will be interesting to see your journey refurbishing and sailing.
Thanks, we love it. Yes she loves a good blow and takes nasty weather like a dream! Yeah we've owned her for a few years now (living on it for 1.5yrs) and been alot of work/projects and still a ways to go but definitely a great boat to start with. Our later episodes if you check them out we have had some hurdles but getting her dialed in slowly and enjoying it as we go! Thanks for watching we enjoy sharing our experiences
OMG what a beautiful yacht. Remember having our 3 boys aboard (2.5, 6 & 9 when we started sailing on Wave Dancer back in 2007) . Just found your channel (thanks FB sailing RUclips group and Trev Hedges) & subscribed
Always liked the Hardin 45, still do. The stern ports are so classic. 2 heating stoves and you didn't even mention them, great boat for northern latitudes, enjoy it.
Thanks, yeah I had a certain criteria for a sailboat and the Hardin checked all of them, no regrets now that we own one. The transom windows on a sunny morning are the best thing to wake up to not going to lie. Yeah the stoves on a chilly day have been awesome, and we hope it'll be good up north were planning on going north sooner than later and doing some cold weather sailing

Skoal to you to! Glad you like it, we thought it was a fitting name for our family and knew people who understood would enjoy it. We love the boat, I wanted a heavy full keeled ketch and this boat was perfect have no regrets. we are splashing in the water in a week, still have a lot of upgrades to go but itll be nice to be in the water. We may need the good fortune one of our future destinations is Norway and like the sound of Viking pirate haha, may be fitting as im not much of a proper sailor just like to have a good time but you'll see if your following along and hopefully ill live up to the name haha and Victory or Valhalla couldn't be more true for me! New subscriber here and I just love your new to you sailing vessel! Looks to have lots of space down below, but the kiddo's are going to have to learn how to keep one hand for themselves and one for the boat! (My Dad taught we five kids that early on and it paid off big time)
Great boat! We just got our Young Sun 43 ( Ta Chao shipyard) my wife wanted to re-name her Valhalla, I was leaning more toward Asgard. But I think she will remain Arpeggio. Looking forward to more videos.
