    This really will help me because I just ordered a new throttle and it came unassembled in a bunch of little baggies. Thanks for making this video

    Just found your video this evening and couldn't have been a better time. I just picked up a throttle return spring for my Honda TRX 700xx this afternoon. Didn't need a new one. The throttle is so easy to use that on rough stuff I find myself blipping it all time. I picked up a second one to see if I can double up the spring and stiffen it up a little.

    Installed the second return spring this morning and it seems to have stiffened the throttle a little. I think it will be much better The secret to getting the lever back on is if you look on the bottom of it. There is a square hole that the shaft has to go through. The easy to mash throttle is what has kept me from really liking this bike as much as my old Raptor. It had duel carbs and the throttle was stiffer and you weren't blipping it over the rough stuff. :).

      Replacing the spring at the carburetor side could also help ...

      @@11GalleryATV It's injected so the setup is different from a carb. Just doesn't have springs attached. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Are you using all new hardware or did you just clean up the original? I've noticed in all your videos all the harware is beautiful.

      some parts are new but most are used OEM parts I bought and cleaned up and rebuilt ... like this throttle assembly for example was from a Honda Rancher 420 and was really bad.

    Should you put oil in the thumb throttle an if so what should you put in or does it matter?great video's tho!

      No oil in the thumb throttle, but you can oil your throttle cable. They make cable oil ... Maxima Cable Oil

    Im wondering. Will a 400 ex engine fit in a 200x frame ?

    • @11GalleryATV
      @11GalleryATV  Год назад +1

      No, not without cutting and modifying the 200x frame. The 400ex engine is much larger than the 200x and the 200x frame is already pretty tiny ... you might be able to get one in a 350x frame but I think the 450r would fit better (in the 350x NOT the 200x)

    could you show how to install the throttle return spring on it?

      I install the thumb throttle, throttle cable, and carburetor in the 400ex build part 15 -- here is a link with the exact time where I started that process - ruclips.net/video/nrc6ZCVZc7s/видео.html

    Having a hard time getting the spring to sit on there while pushing up on the throttle itself when already on the handle bar with the cable attached is it easier to do without it attached and without the cable?

    • @11GalleryATV
      @11GalleryATV  3 года назад +1

      That spring is a pain in the ass no matter how you do it! If you do it without the throttle cable it is easier but then almost impossible to get the throttle cable attached. I had to take it back off to get the throttle cable hooked up and then do it all over again ...
