Google phones like the Pixel have auto translate within Whatsapp. Integrated with Google translate, no need to use copy. Absolutely amazing

Android user here. I turned on Tap to Translate in Google Translate but nothing happens in What'sApp when I tap or tap and hold a message. Very disaappointed this does not work as described. Why didnt you who an Android version?

You need to give Google Translate permissions to overlay other apps. This can be done in Settings.

You don’t have to do this type your message selected then scroll over to Translate. It should detect the translation that you want to translate. Click OK and send that translation.

Yes hold your finger on the message then go to the 3 vertical dots in the right hand corner and you can copy the text.
